An intense, emotional story filled with psychological pressure and powerful feelings. Not perfect, but absolutely gripping.
📚 Reading Type & Length
I read the book through KU and flew through all 381 pages. The length is perfect to fully dive into the story without it ever feeling dragged out.
📝 Short Summary
Anna might have thought twice about going to that job interview if she had known what was waiting for her afterward, or maybe she wouldn’t have. What starts as an opportunity quickly turns into a rocky path full of setbacks, emotional depths, and immense psychological pressure.
Caught between power, control, and overwhelming emotions, she and Nox fight their way through darkness and doubt. It is not an easy journey, but that is exactly what makes the story so compelling. In the end, they rise above it all, marked by everything they endured, finally able to truly live their love.
What impressed me most was how raw and intense the emotions felt. You feel with them, you suffer with them, and you keep hoping the entire time that they will make it.

I am a mood reader and needed a good dark romance. Prey upon me was a great read! It wasn’t overly drawn out and the suspense was great!
