As always, a wonderful story from Heather/Eleri. Review to come later but the short of it now is:
historical romance, with magic elements is so hard to find. This is a great series with an arc story to it so it’s best read in order.
Toren and Kat are an easy to love H and h. From England to Scotland to the present day. And a great message on beauty and keeping the scars showing.
More to come. I recommend reading this series of you too want a bit of magic elements in a well written story from a fantastic author.

This whole series has been amazing and this one does not disappoint. The characters are detailed and the story has you from the first page. If you like magic, time travel, highlanders this book is made for you.

Kat is an orphanage director by day, and a jewel thief by night. She uses her magic to rob from the rich to keep the orphanage running and it seems like the perfect solution until Kat steals from the wrong man, a man who sees through her magic, a man who can see all of the scars that she hides from the world.
Toren MacCallum thinks he has got to be cursed since an old witch tore him from his 16th century world and threw him into the 21st century. Being in the 21st century he realizes that he must find a way home to save his sister and his clan from disappearing off the pages of history as there is no longer anything written about his clan. He goes to the castle he was laird of and realizes that even the castle is now nothing but ruins, but he's got a plan. He's found an ancient dragonfly necklace to bait and bargain with the witch in hopes she will return him home.
Then on the night of the showing he watches a mysterious woman who seems to be acting very oddly steal the necklace in front of a hundred witnesses, but doesn't understand how only he could seem to see her. Once the necklace is gone he knows the hunt is on because Toren possesses some magic and has a binding spell on the necklace. He follows the necklace to the orphanage where out of nowhere the old witch appears and says that there are demons following Kat and that she mustn't use her magic as that is giving her away. What comes next is a trip back to the 16th century where Toren and Kat will stand the tests of time and fight to stay alive.
Eleri Drake is absolutely fabulous. This is the third book in her debut series and I'm absolutely loving it. From the moment I picked this book up until I put it down time stood still for me. All I wanted to do was read this book. The characters were perfect for eachother and it was wonderful to watch their love bloom. Kat is your 21st century Robin Hood and Toren was your 16th century brawny Highlander. I can't recommend this book enough. All in all if you are looking for a time travel with some magic in it then look no further this is the book for you.

I would give this 10 stars if I could!
Toren and Kat's love story is truly heart felt all through the centuries! This awesome story has Queen Elizabeth I court intrigue, sixteenth century Highland feuds, twenty first century adventures and old school Scottish magic! I love that Toren can see Katell when no one else can, some hilarious situations to be sure 😄 I love this series! Dragonfly Chronicles! I am going to be anxiously awaiting the next addition to this awesome series! 💕
