What if Little Red grew up and fought a different kind of wolf?
Years after she escaped predators in the woods as a child, the girl in the red hood hunts them down to protect the children of the village while the villagers put their faith in a preacher with sinister intentions.
I have heard retellings of Red Riding Hood as a wolf hunter or even a werewolf. But I was unprepared for this manifestation of the classic tale. This story takes place after a time skip when Red first escaped the jaws of the wolf, and she is seen as an outcast by the villagers. Children are being snatched by wolves, and nobody knows where to find them. Maybe Red can find the answer.
There are real wolves and also wolves hiding in plain sight. This book introduces a fresh twist on the character in such a way that it shows the dangers of predatory men, particularly those that hold positions of great influence in their community.
