Megan Crawford’s Dozen Dates detonated my calm little romance-loving heart and scattered it across six cities like emotional confetti. Thank you to Megan Crawford and The Author Agency for the gifted ARC in exchange for my honest review.

You know that confident, “I have my life together” energy we all curate? The polished LinkedIn bio, the color-coded calendar, the suitcase permanently half-packed for work trips? This book grabs that version of adulthood and gently asks, okay, but what about your heart?

Brianna Whitmore is wildly competent in her career. She can implement complex software systems without blinking. But ask her to navigate dating after years of self-imposed exile and she short-circuits. When her married best friend insists on twelve dates across her upcoming work trips, it feels less like a cute challenge and more like controlled chaos with boarding passes.

What I loved most is that this isn’t a gimmick romance built on a quirky premise. The cross-country dating setup is fun, yes. We get the laid-back Texan, the polished New York hotel owner, the former Navy diver in Hawaii, the smooth executive with a sailboat and suspiciously calm waters. Some dates are swoony. Some are train wrecks. Some are… steamy enough to require hydration breaks. But beneath all of that is a woman carrying a quiet, painful secret that shapes every decision she makes.

Reading this felt like watching someone relearn how to breathe.

There’s a vulnerability to Brianna that hit me unexpectedly. She’s strong. Driven. Independent. But she’s also scared of being fully seen. And when the story peels back that fear, it does it with tenderness instead of melodrama. One line that completely undid me:

“Turns out the right person is the one who sees past her polished exterior to the pastry-loving woman who wears llama pajamas and trips over her suitcase.”

That’s it. That’s the whole thesis. Being loved not for the curated version of yourself, but for the chaotic, pastry-eating, slightly clumsy real one.

And let’s talk about the romantic tension. The slow burn here is deliciously confusing in the best way. I genuinely did not know who the endgame was for a good chunk of the book. Every time I thought, okay, this is him, the story would pivot just enough to keep me guessing. The “he falls first” energy sneaks up on you, and when it finally clicks, it feels earned rather than convenient.

Emotionally, this book surprised me. I laughed. I cringed. I absolutely panicked at one point wondering if my heart was being set up for devastation. The spice is present but never overshadows the emotional arc. It enhances it. It feels like a natural extension of connection instead of a distraction from it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ 4.5 stars

It’s flirty and feel-good, but it also respects the complexity of being a career-driven woman over thirty who has built a full life without a partner. It doesn’t shame that independence. It honors it. And then it gently asks what might happen if you allowed someone in anyway.

If you’re someone who loves slow burn romance, cross-country travel vibes, emotional depth tucked inside witty banter, and heroines who are competent but gloriously imperfect, this book will feel like it was written with you in mind. If you’ve ever wondered whether love can find you between airport security lines and hotel check-ins, you’ll see yourself in Brianna.

This story isn’t about perfect dates. It’s about imperfect people choosing honesty over fear.

So tell me honestly. If your best friend dared you to go on twelve dates in six cities, would you rise to the challenge… or fake a WiFi outage and stay home in llama pajamas instead?

This hilarious, sweet, tender, and spicy story has given me a book hangover that I don’t want to go away!

Oh Brianna, you delightful woman. You are so real. Was there a camera following me around in my 20s and 30s? Because I could relate to all the feels and embarrassments and insecurities this character was going through.

I wish I had the close friendships Brianna has with Sara and Beck. I would love to join them at the Bloody Mary bar for brunch.

This book kept me guessing who would be the guy to truly deserve Brianna’s affections until the very end. And I was not disappointed. 😘

So grab a chocolate concha, light a white tea and verbena candle, and enjoy this book!

When is the sequel coming???

This was such an easy five stars for me and already one of my favourites this year. I read it in 2 days because I couldn’t put it down. 🩵

Brianna thinks she has her life exactly how she wants it. Successful. Independent. Safe. The twelve dates idea is so good. Some were awkward and some were just plain weird. Some were surprisingly sweet. There is always a twist. It slowly crumbles the walls Brianna had built around herself for a very private reason.

It made me smile, it made me emotional, and I definitely didn’t want it to end. I loved trying to piece everything together and looking for the clues and little plot twists.

I have very mixed feelings about this book.

What I liked:
I absolutely loved that the FMC can be clumsy during her dates. It makes her feel real and relatable. She’s not this perfectly smooth, untouchable woman, and that gives her charm. I could really connect with that side of her.

Although I hate Kevin as a guy name, the fact that he reads in the morning definitely gives him a point. Green flag. I can’t deny it.

I absolutely loved Javier, and the man who bought her dinner without expecting anything in return.

What I disliked:
She fell for the scam guy?! That really surprised me. They only went on two dates!

What frustrated me the most, though, was the double standard. She dates multiple men at the same time but still feels betrayed by Preston when she finds out he’s married. I understand being upset about unknowingly being “the other woman.” However, it was her reaction and internal thoughts that bothered me. Yes, Preston is cheating on his wife, and that is absolutely wrong. But the FMC was also seeing other men. So the fact that she gets mad because he’s with someone else, more than because he's married and cheats on his wife, feels a bit inconsistent. She, too, was dating around.

Another thing that bothered me was how angry she became when Kevin said goodbye and treated their relationship as something casual. Yet when she did the exact same thing to Javier, she acted as if he should automatically understand it was only casual. As she herself said earlier: they didn’t communicate it.

I also didn’t really relate to the way she talks about motherhood. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to carry your own child and build a family that way. But dismissing adoption as if it’s not a "real option" didn’t sit right with me. That perspective felt narrow and disappointing.

And being upset because Javier doesn’t tell his clients that he’s the owner? That felt odd. You can easily do your own research. He has every right to keep that information private, especially since he explained that people tend to treat him differently once they know about his occupation.

Overall, I liked certain elements, especially the clumsy, human side of the FMC, but the inconsistencies in her reactions made it hard for me to fully root for her.

There were so many things I loved about this book, but first and foremost, Brianna. She’s intelligent, ambitious, sassy and just the right amount of chaotic. A capable career woman who can implement complex software with ease… yet still can’t quite master walking gracefully through an airport. I instantly loved her.

The premise feels like a fresh twist on the traditional rom-com. After a devastating heartbreak, Brianna’s best friend Sara sets her a challenge: go on twelve dates to kick-start her love life again. The goal? Move on. Heal. And maybe — just maybe — find love.

What follows is Brianna’s uncertain, funny, occasionally disastrous journey into modern dating. Some of the men are… let’s say deeply unimpressive. But while she’s busy navigating awkward dinners and red flags, it becomes clear that someone important may have been closer than she realised all along.

What really elevates this story is Brianna’s vulnerability. Beneath her polished exterior is a woman carrying deep emotional wounds. She’s terrified that every new connection will end the same way her last relationship did. Her heartbreak runs deeper than a simple breakup, and the way the book explores her grief, self-esteem and sense of identity is really moving. There were moments I just wanted to reach into the pages and hug her.

Her support network — Sara, Evan, Beck and her cousin Lucas — shines throughout, grounding the story in friendship as much as romance.

And the ending? Amazing. Emotional, heartfelt, raw and then soft and hopeful in all the right ways. No spoilers, but it absolutely delivered.

Readers should be aware there are triggers relating to miscarriage and infertility. These themes are handled sensitively and are essential to Brianna’s character arc, but they do add emotional weight to the story.

Overall, this was a warm, witty, and emotionally layered romance with a heroine you can’t help but root for. A solid 4-star read for me.

Book Trope: slow burn, contemporary romance, emotional baggage, slow burn, career driven female, awkward first dates, work travel romance.

Brianna Whitmore, travels 26 weeks a year, she is wildly competent in her career. She can implement complex software systems without blinking. She is constantly traveling for her. Her married best friend, Sara is worried about her, and proposes she goes on 12 dates with 12 different guys, and sets her up with a Tender profile to make these date connections. One man contacted her through the dating app and they met for a lunch / garden walk through in NYC. They had a connection and start texting on and off. They meet again in San Antonio for a movie date. He claims to be a hotel investor and claims to have a few hotels he is working.

Brianna had a heartbreak years ago and hasn't been 'out there' in the dating world since her heartbreak. She doesn't want to be 'seen'. When her friend Sara pushes her to do the 12 dates she isn’t sure what / who she will find. Brianna is always on the go always in a different city each week for work. Another man she dated turns out she is the side piece after being confronted by the wife at the restaurant. Are all men just out to get her? She can’t seem to find a decent one.

The hotel she stays at in San Antonio she is always greeted by Javier and the hotel staff are always so nice to her. Javier and Brianna have a connection. She thinks Javier is a front desk worker at the hotel. But he never shares what role in the hotel he actually has. Will he be able to confront Brianna??

Who will win Brianna's heart? Will she let herself be open to dating and 'feeling's'? Brianna has been closed off awhile and dating helps her open herself up again. But is she just opening herself up again for more heart ache?

I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book from The Author Agency. I am freely leaving a honest book review.

This is my first book by Megan and I loved the blurb! It’s a whirl wind story spanning cities and kicking up my emotional damage loving heart. Like it was like she kinda knew me! Business, social life friends check check… dating life hard pass lol. But this story was so cute

Brianna Whitmore is a badass in the board room she knows her job and does it well! Like she could do it tied and blindfolded.

I loved the challenge of twelve dates across her various work trips it was such a cute and fun challenge amongst her working life. I loved the different types of guys and personalities they all were very different. And the different types of dates some I suffered from second hand embarrassment while others had my heart skipping a beat and saying awwww.

All the while she’s dealing with some major trauma and sadness. Seeing her navigate in silence re discovering herself in her own way and coming to terms with how that looks going forward it was extremely moving. Seeing her realize she can be loved completely from her messy version it was something that really affected me.

I’m newly divorced and I myself feel so messy and unlovable like who would want to deal with that. So I loved seeing her going through that.

I loved how it all unfolded slowly and with amazing tension and a killer slow burn! 🔥

This book was so charming and sweet! I love how it ran me through the gambit of emotions! I love how this book unfolded her find her HEA!

Dozen Dates by Megan Crawford is such a fun, feel-good contemporary romance. The premise alone hooked me: Brianna Whitmore’s best friend pushes her into going on twelve dates across six cities while she travels for work, hoping it’ll pull her out of the self-imposed dating exile. What follows is a cross-country adventure full of awkward moments, surprising chemistry, and a lot of self-discovery.

What I loved most was how relatable Brianna felt. She’s polished on the outside but carrying emotional baggage and insecurity underneath, and watching her slowly open up, both to new experiences and to the possibility of love, was so freaking satisfying. The rotating cast of dates keeps the story fresh, and it’s fun seeing the wildly different personalities she meets along the way. Some are sweet, some are disasters, and a couple will definitely make you swoon.

The core romance itself leans slow-burn and emotional, with a focus on connection and vulnerability rather than just instant attraction. When the sparks do start flying, the book delivers some tasteful but definitely spicy moments that add heat without overshadowing the emotional arc. The vibe is flirty, heartfelt, and ultimately very hopeful.

If I had one critique, it’s that a few of the dates felt a little quick—I would’ve loved more time with some of those side characters because the concept is so fun. But overall, the story kept me turning pages and left me with that warm “rom-com movie ending” feeling.

This book is for everyone who’s ever had a cringeworthy first date. Or second date. Imagine twelve of them. That is Brianna’s challenge from her best friend. Worried that she has closed herself off from love after a horrible previous relationship, Brianna’s best friend, Sara, challenges Brianna to go on twelve dates. Just dates, nothing needs to happen, but she needs to put herself out there. Whether they happen in the wild or through a dating app, Brianna has to have twelve dates. Through these dates, Brianna starts to come back to life, even if some of the dates are complete disasters.

I loved Brianna. She was incredible at her job, smart and sassy, yet she had a unique talent for falling over the slightest thing. Some of the dates were easy to dismiss as red herrings, definitely not the man for our girl. Yet others felt right; it was hard to see how this would end, or even if it would. You could get an inkling of who was going to emerge as the victor, although I admit a couple of them were close until they weren’t.

I enjoyed the dates themselves. I also enjoyed spending time with Brianna, getting to know her and her past, as well as being invested in her future. Fair warning, there are a couple of heavy subjects discussed in this book. I recommend reading the trigger warnings first, as they can be delicate and upsetting for some people. I felt they were handled sensitively and with grace and care. I have not experienced either of the subjects, so I can’t say for certain. I didn’t feel insensitive, though. I felt sympathy for Brianna. I was happy she got to be happy in the end.

Thank you to @TheAuthor.Agency and @MeganCrawfordWrites for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Dozen Dates was such a cute, fun read. It honestly felt like a rom com road trip, but with dating thrown in, and it was super easy to fly through.

Brianna is really relatable. She has her life together when it comes to work, but dating? Total struggle. So when her best friend decides she needs twelve dates to get back out there, it turns into this chaotic but entertaining adventure across different cities with a bunch of very different guys.

The dates were considered fun. Some were sweet, some awkward, some definitely spicy, and I loved seeing Brianna slowly get more comfortable putting herself out there. There is also more going on under the surface since she is carrying around a painful secret, so it is not just light fluff. It has some real emotion mixed in with the flirting.

What I liked most is how the story is really about Brianna figuring out what she wants and letting someone see the real her, not just the put together version. It is funny, a little messy, and super charming.

If you want something light, flirty, and feel good with travel vibes and a bit of spice, this is definitely the book for you!

Ok, so if you followed along with my rambling above, you see this book is a bit different than the normal romance books I read. There were several side male characters…which, yeah, It took me a minute to realize what was going on here. But Brianna is an absolute win of a FMC in my book so this is an easy 5 stars. The book had me laughing, teary eyed and everything in between. I loved how driven Brianna was and how easy it was to relate to her.

I’d absolutely recommend this book to others and look forward to Megan’s new books in the future! This one was so fun!

Check the trigger warnings

I don’t personally find myself to have many triggers, but I am a pretty sensitive and emotional person—so I may cry where others don’t.

This book was such a delight to read! I definitely plan to reread it because I know I would have devoured it much faster if life hadn’t gotten in the way. Even so, I found myself constantly trying to steal little pockets of time just to read a few more pages.

The concept of the story was so much fun. We get to experience twelve dates with Brianna, and each one brings something different—great banter, swoon-worthy moments, a little irritation, and plenty of Brianna’s clumsy shenanigans that made the story feel lively and real.

The friend group is something everyone wishes they had. They were truly something special and added so much warmth and personality to the story.

Megan also kept me guessing about who the MMC and ultimate HEA would be, which made the journey even more entertaining. The mystery of it all was part of the fun!

Then around chapter 38, the emotional punches started landing. From that point until the end, I found myself fighting back tears more than once. There were even moments where I had to set the book down just to cry it out. Megan handled those emotional scenes with such care and authenticity, delivering every bit of the heartbreak and understanding straight to the reader.

Well done!

Twelve dates, six cities, one secret.
Brianna is always on the go, traveling for work has its drawbacks. Her best friend challenges her to go on twelve dates to get her back out there in an effort to help her leave her past hurts behind.
From NYC to San Diego, San Antonio, and Hawaii, Brianna learns what it means to let herself be loved again through self discovery and healing.

I really enjoyed this rom-com, the dates were each their own adventure full of missteps, charm, and a sprinkling of cringe. I loved the travel aspect and the sights that were represented in each city.
There were some things that were a bit over exaggerated like in a classic rom-com, but one thing that irked me was our girl always tripping over herself. As a clumsy girl myself, I felt like the constant falling was a tad obvious and overdone.
Overall, this book was a good time full of laughs and second hand embarrassment, with a great cast of characters and an FMC I couldn’t help but root for.

The men made me glad I’m not in the dating world.

Dozen Dates by Megan Crawford is a charming, feel-good contemporary romance that blends humor, self-discovery, and just the right amount of spice. If you enjoy slow burn romance with the irresistible he falls first trope and a series of awkward first dates, this book is an absolute treat.

Brianna agrees to take on a challenge and go on twelve dates in hopes of confronting her past and figuring out what she truly wants. What follows is a hilarious and heartfelt journey filled with uncomfortable encounters, surprising moments, and plenty of personal growth.

I also loved how unpredictable the story felt. Just when I thought I knew where things were going, the twists and turns left me in a surprise that kept the narrative fresh and engaging. The mix of awkward dating mishaps, heartfelt moments, and Brianna’s journey of self-discovery made the book both fun and meaningful.

Overall, Dozen Dates is a warm, entertaining romance full of humor, heart, and plenty of swoony tension. I highly recommend!

Trope(s):

This is my first read by Megan Crawford, who is a debut author. When I saw the blurb I just had to read it. It wasn’t the average romance story for me. Plus, I am on the hunt for new-to-me authors so she fits the bill. Brianna is independent and driven. She has a great group of ladies she can count on. But, she has shut herself off from the dating scene. Her bestie just wants her to find happiness so she challenges her. This story really captivated me even though I have been out of the dating scene for a LONG time. I laughed, I felt Brianna’s pain, I rooted for her and cheered her well deserved HEA. Megan is going to an author I keep my eyes on.

Brianna Whitmore has thrown herself into her work the last handful of years. A terrible heartbreak has put her off of relationships and traveling half of the year for her career keeps her very busy.

Her best friend Sara has been with her through it all and has seen the light and joy fade out of Brianna. So, she challenges her. Twelve dates over the next three months. A way to get back out there and enjoy herself again.

Challenge accepted.

So, between traveling, her demanding job, and her tenacious friend Brianna begins to live and give the dating scene a chance once again.

We follow the ups and downs as Brianna reclaims a part of her life she shut off.

What started out as a fun dare, took Brianna down a journey of finding herself again.

Brianna is a pro at her software job but pretty uninterested when it comes to romance. After being single for way too long, her best friend convinces her to go on twelve dates while she's traveling for business trips.

Brianna is a great character, she's not perfect and I enjoyed getting to know her, I loved the relationship she had with her co-worker Chris. She is constantly ravelling to different cities for work and enjoys the challenge. I liked trying to figure out who her actual love interest was in the beginning, but it doesn't take too long to figure it out.

This book was longer than I was expecting, some parts were a little slow but overall the pacing was good.

Her dates were fun, in a car-crash kind of way - she really did not have the best luck at all.

Although it’s mostly lighthearted, Brianna is carrying a heavy secret from her past, so there are some emotional chapters.

Poised Brianna Whitmore is a traveling software implementation wizard. But in her personal life, she’s a bit clumsy and dating has been nonexistent since she got her heart broken years ago. Blaming it on traveling 25 weeks of the year, she just hasn’t made it a priority, devoting all of her time to her career. But her friends notice her missing spark and convince her to do a dating challenge…12 dates within 3 months.

Meandering through Brianna’s 12 dates was a fun, yet realistic experience. This wasn’t about just hooking up with dates, this was re-discovering the woman she had tucked away after experiencing heartbreak. Author Megan Crawford had me laughing, and maybe shedding a few tears along the way.

Dozen Dates is out now in paperback, kindle and available on Kindle Unlimited.

HOLY BEJEEZUS I loveeeeed this book so much! This debut romance from Megan Crawford deserves all the reads and reviews.

Brianna’s work trips take her from city to city which leaves little time for dating. She gets dared by her best friend to take a chance on romance and go on 12 dates. We meet many a love interest but who will she choose?

Favorite Quote 🫶🏻 “Remember that I see you. The whole you. Not just the parts you think are broken.”

This book was a breath of fresh air. It was so real with how dating can actually be and not just a love at first sight like a lot of books nowadays (still a sucker for fast love) and it was so fun to start loving the male leads (and hating some) and seeing who she’s going to end up with. Megan manages to deliver an interesting, heartbreaking, keep you on your toes romance and I can’t wait to read more from her in the future!

This book does touch on some sensitive subjects so be sure to read the TWs!!

Dozen Dates is a romantic comedy with work trips and interesting dates. This is Brianna's story with a challenge she couldn't refuse that led her to find her love. Brianna has been hesitant about love due to her ex, but her best friend came up with a plan to get her back into dating again. I love their close friendship and how supportive she is through it all. Brianna's story is cute with dates she can enjoy, but each date has something wrong or isn't quite as it seems. I love how she found herself again and was willing to give these dates a try. I also love how she built a connection with the other characters, which made the story more interesting. I really enjoyed this cute romcom and her finally finding true happiness and understanding. I can't wait to read more.

I voluntarily leave an honest review of this advance reader copy.

This was an interesting story of woman who has decided to give up on love and romance. So her best friend challenges her to go on twelve dates in the different cities she travels to for work. The real story is the interesting men she meets in these dates. Some of the dates are hilarious, some are total wrecks and some are romantic. As Brianna goes on these different dates the book becomes more about self reflection and acceptance. Knowing who you are and what you want out of life is the key to finding happiness. I liked Brianna as a character but she was an extremely clumsy girl. Her slipping and falling became a running joke that was a little tiresome. It’s an unusual book that gives a take on the dating field which I know is awful for most young women. I enjoyed the visit into that world.

DOZEN DATES by Megan Crawford

This was a new author for me but I was glad o took a chance because it was a fun book.
It was different from the romance books I usually read but in a good way. Loved Brianna her strength and independence was very much what I love to read. I love a strong independent career driven woman it’s inspiring and makes a great FMC. Love that it was well written and the author gave us a little bit of humor with all the feels. I really think this story is going to hit home with a lot of the female audience not saying the male audience won’t enjoy it because they will but as a woman I think it you will hopefully see the same message I saw in this book and make many women feel seen and understood. It was a wonderful fun and charming and I would definitely recommend.

I was given an ARC from The Author Agency and this book was a 4.5 rounded up for me.

Megan Crawford explores the realities of dating, unfortunately too well as she takes us on Brianna’s dozen dates. She also explores the fact that sometimes what one is looking for can be right in front of you the whole time.

The FMC Brianna has been through heartbreak and has life facts with no easy answers or solutions. I liked that it was not easily tied up, the way this topic often is. Her friends, Sara and Becks, her cousin Lucas, and even her coworker Chris are nice side characters that provide Brianna with a community and support system.

Some of her dating experiences seem cheesy and stereotypical but not improbable and we know many people who have experienced these situations in real life.

I loved this so much!
I can’t help but giggle at Brianna Whitmore because that girl could trip on air! She’s a polished career driven woman with a lot of heart struggling to let go of her past. When her best friend challenges her to a dozen dates in a few months time to help bring her out of her funk...we’re there for the ride! We meet Mr Marina Man, Scuba Steve, Mr GQ and a few others. Some we start to like - others we want to throat punch! But as time goes on, Brianna realises she does miss having someone in her life, the thrills that come with dating and having someone. But is it worth the risk of being hurt…again? Such a fun feel good romance not without its slight bumps and trips along the way. And don’t worry….there is enough spice for you to need a glass of water handy!

This is a debut from this author, and she is definitely a name to look out for in the future!
Brianna is career driven, where implementing software is easy to her, but dating not so much after her self-imposes exile, and her best friend thinks that twelve opportunities to finally let go of the painful secret she has been carrying for years, will fix everything. Somewhere between airport security and hotel check-ins Brianna discovers that the perfect man for her is closer than she thinks.
This is a well written, easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, self-discovery, cross-country dating, humour, vulnerability, and love, which leads to an entertaining and heartfelt page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

"I saw who you were before him and I see who you are after him. When he left, he took your light. And you let it happen."

After a bad breakup (it's more complicated, but I won't spoil it!), Brianna closes her heart and throws herself into her work. But one day, her best friend Sara challenges her: she has to go on a dozen dates within three months. Will one of those dates change her perception and reopen her heart? Will she find love again? You'll need to read the book to find out! :)

Between Mr. GQ, Advanced Rental Guy, Marina Man, Scuba Steve and The Concierge, I went from feeling happy to frustrated, nervous to hopeful, excited to disappointed… But in the end, every feeling was worth it!

This was a great story by a debut author. After experiencing a really bad break-up, Brianna throws herself into her professional life. Brianna is struggling to let go of her past. Although a bit clumsy, Brianna is bright, beautiful and full of heart. So, her best friend Sara, challenges her to go on twelve dates in three months. The RomCom vibes are strong in this charming read where we join Brianna on her dating journey. Will it be Mr. GQ, Scuba Steve, Marina Man......? I loved the different dates she went on. The banter in this read was very funny. The spice was good. The characters were great and yes, there is an HEA.

I received an ARC from the Author Agency and this is my honest review.

Brianna, who spends most of her time travelling for work, hasn’t made dating a priority since her heartbreak years ago. Her best friend challenges her to go on twelve dates, and what follows is a mix of awkward encounters, sweet surprises, and moments that made me laugh.

I loved how each date felt like its own little adventure, especially with the travel element woven in. From city to city, Brianna not only meets different people but also learns more about herself. Some dates were cringe-worthy, others unexpectedly touching.

Beneath the humour and chaos, there’s a deeper story about healing, rediscovering confidence, and opening up to love again. I appreciated how the book balanced lighthearted rom-com energy with emotions

A challenge from a friend and she's off into the dating world. Brianna is a busy professional and dating seems daunting. Once she decides to take up the dozen dates challenge she's off and running. I'll tell you that I clocked Javier within the first sentence he uttered and I really liked him! I love that she clumsily manages through her dates and that they were all so different. I'm not going to say I was always happy with her reactions to revelations, but that's who she is! I didn't like the challenge at first, but after getting to know Brianna little by little, I could see why she needed that push.

What to expect:
*blind dates/dating apps
*secret past
*slow burn

I received a complimentary eARC and my review is voluntary. Thank you to the author and The Author Agency.

"Turns out the right person is the one who sees past her polished exterior to the pastry-loving woman who wears llama pajamas and trips over her suitcase."

Dozen Dates was such a cute and quirky story. It was full of laughs, emotion, and "oh my gosh" moments. There were so many male side characters that it was kind of hard to keep track of, but I absolutely loved it.

This is far from your typical romance novel and bound to leave you sniffling and feeling fuzzy by the end.

What a debut for Megan Crawford! Dozen Dates is one of the most fun books I've read this year!

Brianna is so relatable and it's so easy to connect with her right from the start and that connection grew throughout this story. I absolutely loved how Megan addresss Brianna's insecurities and also modern dating in a raw, real, mature way with characters that were so easy to fall for. I loved that these characters were older, mature, and knew exactly what they wanted. The small details that Megan incorporates throughout the story were so fun and clever and just made this an even more fun story.

Like Brianna's travels, Dozen Dates is a journey and such a fun one at that!
