There are some good points inside!

An arbitrary star review of three doesn't mean the content is bad, as much as it is mostly about the meta analysis of data that is available elsewhere rather than new information. I did appreciate something new, however. I was unaware of the study on gum chewing.

I suspect we like to read the same books! Most of the concepts and highlights were familiar, but it reads easily and flows well from one topic to the next. Just enough personal anecdotes and science to make it interesting, without overpowering. Would definitely recommend this book to readers unfamiliar with related material, as it is a good summary of areas and concepts to improve focus and productivity.

This is a very concise and dense book with no "fillers" and small talk. Nothing new here, but very helpful in resuming several good practices related to increased productivity (and not only focus), for people like me who supposedly already know all of these but somehow tend to forget :) The book is also appropriate for beginners and young people who need to familiarize themselves with such practices.

Not worth the price. It's basically just a really well-written productivity listicle, like one would find on WikiHow. Want to have better focus? Silence your phone while you're working; outline your task before starting; don't spend too much time in preliminary background reading. These are good tips, but I'm pretty sure my middle school English teacher suggested these too.

A very interesting title on how we can improve our productivity in daily life. Peter Hollins has authored many books on the topic of self improvement. What impressed me more is the reference of how Stephen Kings make a story by doing a soap opera for the character themselves. Let them be in mess and how they themselves recover from it. Amazing point as a writer.

This is the kind of book I'd like to read when I seem to be forgetting about discipline, focus and productivity. I was especially reminded on the importance of uni-tasking and focusing on what actually matters rather than filling up my time with a lot of things.

Common, but insightful set of tactical advice

In this book, Peter Hollins provides practical methods that can enhance productivity. He seems to rely on general studies, which reveal the importance of discipline, willpower, goals, and rejection of procrastination, in achieving objectives. The book presents methods that students, young adults and professionals can easily implement in their daily lives.
