He’s the rock god she can't remember.
Now he’s the man who can’t let her go.

Lucifer Sarris lives for the stage. The lights, the fans, the music—they’re the only things loud enough to drown out the memory of the woman he lost. When Devil’s Halo hits the road for their biggest tour yet, he never expects to find her again…

Lilith Anderson has spent years rebuilding her life in the quiet shadows—until fate throws her back into Luc’s orbit. One touch, one look, and the past ignites like gasoline. But loving a man who belongs to the world means risking the fragile peace she’s fought for, and the little life she’s vowed to protect.

On a tour bus filled with temptation, old wounds, and a rhythm that never stops, passion becomes a battle between surrender and survival. And when the final note fades, they’ll have to decide if the music they make together is worth the heartbreak that comes with the encore.

Devil’s Muse is a steamy, emotional second-chance rockstar romance featuring a brooding frontman, a single-mom heroine, and a love that refuses to stay buried.
The first book in the Devil’s Halo Rockstar Romance Series—where fame burns hot, hearts fall hard, and every song tells a story you’ll never forget. It's a stand-alone with a happily-ever-after.

When Love Refuses to Stay Buried
I just finished Devil's Muse and I'm still thinking about Lucifer and Lilith days later. This book gutted me in the best way possible.

Luc lives for the stage the lights, the fans, the music that drowns out the woman he lost. When Devil's Halo hits the road for their biggest tour yet, the last thing he expects is for her to walk back into his life. And Lilith? She's spent years rebuilding herself in the quiet shadows, protecting the little life she's vowed to keep safe. But one touch, one look, and the past ignites like gasoline.

What I loved most about this book is that it's not just about second chances, it's about whether two people can survive loving each other when one belongs to the world. Lilith has fought so hard for her fragile peace, and watching her risk it all for a man who lives under spotlights and screaming fans? That tension is everything.

Michelle Windsor doesn't give us an easy love story. She gives us:

A brooding frontman haunted by the woman he couldn't forget
A single-mom heroine who's stronger than she knows
Tour bus confessions and stolen moments that feel achingly real
Old wounds that bleed into every kiss, every touch
A love that refuses to stay buried no matter how hard they try
The moment that destroyed me: When Luc realises that loving Lilith means choosing between the music that saved him and the woman who could break him all over again. That scene where he has to decide if the rhythm they create together is worth the heartbreak that comes with the encore? I was sobbing.

This is rockstar romance with so much heart. The steam is there, yes, but it's the emotional vulnerability that makes this book unforgettable. Luc isn't just a rock god, he's a man grappling with fame, loss, and what it means to truly let someone in. And Lilith isn't just running from her past—she's protecting a future that could shatter if she makes the wrong choice.

What makes this special:

The tour setting adds such a rich, gritty atmosphere
Single-mom representation done right (Lilith's protective instincts felt so real)
The balance of passion and pain is a chef's kiss
Stand-alone with an HEA, so no cliffhangers!
First in the Devil's Halo series, I need the rest of the band's stories NOW
If you love wounded heroes who need to be saved by love, heroines with everything to lose, rockstar romance that doesn't shy away from the hard stuff, and second chances that feel earned, Devil's Muse belongs on your TBR immediately.

Michelle Windsor writes steamy contemporary romance with alpha males and even stronger females, and she delivers that promise with this book. The emotion, the heat, the stakes, all of it landed perfectly.

This series is going to be massive. Devil's Halo deserves all the hype, and I cannot WAIT to see what Michelle does next with this world.

Devil’s Muse has that electric rockstar energy, the kind that spirals into something deeper before the characters even realize what’s happening. The chemistry is instant, messy in the best way, and full of that backstage heat Windsor writes so well.
What I really liked is how she balances the fantasy of falling for a rock god with the very real emotions underneath. Luc is the perfect mix of chaotic and irresistible, and with Lily, they just… spark. The tension, the tenderness, the slow slide from hookup to something that actually matters hits in all the right places.

ARC Review | Devil's Muse by Michelle Windsor
Provided by Literary Inspired

5🌟 2.5🌶
Devil's Muse was a great read! Love how the MCs names are Lucifer and Lilith, going by Luc and Lily. And finding out that the brother is named Michael makes it even better. Loved the storyline, was definitely surprised by the twist and the baby, but it made for a great read. Love how the locale was described and the details. Also like how we have a lead in to Book 2 with Dean. Some of the best scenes were Mikey and Larkin in my opinion.

Quotes I liked :

"This devil fell for an angel, only to discover she had the ability to make hell burn brighter."

"We don’t say a word. We don’t need to. Every look, every touch that passes between us says more than any words could."

You know when a book is good you read it in two days. You know when a book grabs you and twists you like a pretzel is a great book you read it in one day less than 8 hrs! This is one of those books it has funny parts and such emotional messy feelings that I couldn’t put it down. You will fall in love with the characters and their chaos even when they are being asshats.

One of the things I loved about this author is she put the song from the playlist for each chapter on the page and I found some great music also! I recorded this as an ARC and I can’t wait for Dean and Sadie’s story in March. Michelle Windsor is a great story teller who wrote an incredible story and brought it to life.

Rockstar Romance

Read this in one sitting! It was such a vibe. Love the chemistry between Lucifer and Lily. No matter what them finding their way back to each-other. Spice was excellent 🌶️This story has all the excitement of a rockstar romance but the love the MMC has is top tier, he isn’t afraid to go after what he wants. Excited for the next book as well.

Devil’s Muse was such a good book. The chemistry between them is tangible from the moment they meet—the kind that hits before either of them even realizes it’s happening. Every interaction feels charged, pulling you deeper into their connection. The vibes are intoxicating, with a slow-burn tension that simmers beneath the surface. With instant chemistry, a muse–creator dynamic, this story delivers an irresistible pull that’s impossible to ignore. 10/10 recommend & cannot wait for book 2.

Wow! Where to start. This was one of the best books I have read ever. Can we say infinity star read. The FMC is amazing and MMC is worth everything. I laughed and cried and was broken and put back together. I could have had another 1000 pages of this story. Thank you Michelle for giving me the opportunity to read your masterpiece. I am in awe.

Eeep! I loved Devil’s Muse! I could not put it down. But when I had to, it was on my mind and I couldn’t get back to it quick enough! Devil’s Muse is not your typical rocker romance. No cheating or ow drama! Yay! I loved the chemistry between Lily and Luc. You could literally feel it right from the start! The spice with plot was really on point! I love a good spicy romance but it must have a plot and oh yes did Michelle deliver! This one is a must read y’all!

Luc is the lead singer for Devil's Muse, a very successful rock band. Preferring county music, Lily honestly has no idea who he is. So how does she end up sleeping in his bed after her best friend drags her to one of their shows and then backstage to the after party? You'll want to read this one to find out. Hang on tight. This one has a twist or two you won't see coming. It's an incredible start to what I'm sure will be an amazing series.

Luc and Lily

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were well written and the story is different from any other romance I’ve read. And, I’ve read a lot. The chemistry between Luc and Lily is palpable and electric. I will definitely read more books by Michelle Windsor.

Wow, this book really makes you feel. I laughed, cried, swooned, wondered, worried, smiled, and even had to take a cold shower haha! Plus the writing quality was fantastic, especially in the beginning where you get sucked in and can't put it down, and then still can't stop reading because you have to know what happens next. I felt my heart break and get put back together in the most fantastic way. My only complaint is I want more and am impatient to wait for the next one in this series!

I received an advanced copy of the book and am leaving an honest review.

My rating system:
5=will read again
4=recommend to everyone
3=recommend to anyone liking that particular writing style/trope
2=do not recommend

Devil’s Muse is the 1st book in The Auction Series by Michelle Windsor.

Devil’s Muse, what can I say about this book, it’s still living rent free in my head and it’s been a few day’s since I finished it and I’m still thinking about Lucifer and Lilith. Honestly this book destroyed me in ways I didn’t know possible, but it was in only in the best ways possible at the same time.

Lucifer has always lived for the stage and the lime light, the fans, and most of all the music that helps him to forget all about the woman he lost. When the Devil’s Halo goes back on the road for what’s planned to be the biggest tour of their careers, Lucifer never dreamed that she would come walking back into his life.

Lilith has spent her time away from Lucifer rebuilding her life and herself hiding away in the quiet shadows, she’s been protecting the little life she’s managed to build and she now vows to keep it safe. But the moment she see’s Lucifer again, the second he touches her and the past comes rushing back to her, blazing back to life like they had never parted.

I loved this book because it’s about second chances and it reminds us that that sometimes second chances can happen. But, that’s not what I truly loved about it, I loved that this book showed us that two people can love each and survive while one of the pair belongs to the world. Lilith fought to find her vulnerable and delicate peace, and as I watched her risk everything for Lucifer, a man who lives under this spot light with fans constantly screaming all around him, you can feel the tension surrounding them. And that tension is everything.

Michelle hasn’t written or given us an easy love story. Rather, in Devil’s Muse she’s given us:

Lucifer who’s a brooding frontman who is haunted by Lilith, the woman he knows he could never forget.
Lilith is a single-mom heroine who is so much stronger than she could ever know.
Tour bus confessions with stolen moments that feel so real that you hurt for both Lilith and Lucifer.
There are old wounds that you feel bleed into each and every kiss and every touch.
A love that simply refuses to remain buried like Lilith and Lucifer would like and try to keep it.

There is one moment that simply destroyed me: it was that moment when Lucifer realized that loving Lilith meant that he was going to have to pick between the music that saved his life and Lilith the woman who could break and destroy him all over again. That’s the scene where Lucifer MUST decide if the rhythm the two of them create together is worth all the heartbreak and heartache that ends up coming with their encore? This scene alone had me sobbing into my pillow.

I love music, it’s in my bones and I absolutely love rockstar romances with all the heart and soul of the music it conveys. Yes, it has the spice, it has all the emotional vulnerability that helps to make this book so completely unforgettable. Lucifer is more than just this rockstar God, he’s a flesh and blood man who’s struggling with his fame, loss, and what it means to open up and truly let another person into his life and into his heart. And as for Lilith, she’s not only running from her past – she trying to protect her future that could very well implode if she makes the wrong choice now.

Michelle made this book so special in several different ways:

She made the tour setting feel real and made you feel like you were there and it added this rich and gritty ambience.
Michelle wrote the perfect single-mom representation. Lilith’s protective instincts felt real and you could feel everything she was feeling.
Michelle masterfully balanced the passion with the pain and it was done while balancing on the edge of a razor.
She gave us the perfect HEA, with no cliffhanger, even though this is the start of a series.
Michelle made you care about the entire band and made you want to know all their stories making this the perfect kickoff to the Devil’s Halo series.

If you are in love with wounded heroes in need of saving by love, heroines who have everything to lose, a rockstar romance that’s not going to shy away from a moment of the hard stuff, second chances with gritt and determination the end up feeling earned, then believe me, Devil’s Halo bk. 1 Devil’s Muse belong on your TBR NOW!

I am so excited for book 2 off this series and I can’t wait to see where Michelle takes this series as it moves through the band. I love rockstar romances and they always end up on my trophy shelf and this one isn’t going to be an exception. Michelle Windsor has earned herself a fan for life in me.

This was a fast-paced, quick read about a rockstar who fell first for a woman he spent just three intense days with before she disappeared, only for them to collide again two years later with a surprise in tow. Luc, the lead singer, could have anyone he wanted, but he was drawn to Lily because she didn’t care about his fame and didn’t even know who he was. Lily, a country-music girl dragged to a rock concert and after-party by her bestie, found the one man who made her break almost every rule she’d set for herself. And yes, they had rules… which they followed while fucking like crazy bunnies for those three days.

For me, the spice felt low and rushed, and I honestly can’t tell if Michelle’s spice style is just like this or if she’s new to me. I saw the signs and still got surprised especially by that one part that made me a bit uncomfortable, probably because I’m tired of reading books with kids involved. There’s a five-year age gap, which didn’t bother me at all, and I really loved the bandmates. There’s amnesia rep too, since Lily doesn’t remember Luc for years and has to make new memories, and watching Luc struggle between giving her space and wanting to say “fuck it” and kiss her senseless was rough in the best way.

What I really appreciated was how Luc took responsibility and tried to see things from Lily’s POV, especially when her motherly instincts kicked in. I was genuinely surprised by how his bandmates’ attitudes shifted when he decided to bring his child along on tour. Even though they get their HEA, the book ends on a more open note that continues into the next installment, and I’m already excited for Dean and the reporter’s story.

Thanks to Michelle for the gifted copy! I’m voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

Spice: 🌶🌶🌶

Angst: 💔💔

Tropes: Contemporary Rockstar Romance, Opposites Attract, Second Chance, Amnesia, Ghosted, Red Hot, Bad Boy, Surprise Baby, Found Family, Spicy, Muse Romance, Obsession, Lead Singer, Alpha

Rockstar romances have always been my happy place. They are usually angst heaven, but this story was a pleasant, smooth ride. After being submerged in dark romance for a while, reading this was like standing in the bright sun after a cold winter. It was an easy read that left my heart warm and content. I really enjoyed the characters, especially the names, as the band's name was Devil's Halo and the lead names were Lucifer and Lilith. Luc and Lily had a chemistry that was impossible to miss. When they were in the same room, lightning struck in the best of ways. Their first meeting had his smooth voice turning me into goo. As this was the first book in the author's new series, the essence of found family was already beginning to build. The moments of banter were hilarious if not passsionate. I am looking forward to getting to know the other members of the band in more detail. Despite the many things I enjoyed about the story, I still struggled to finish reading it. While deciphering the plot, I found more inconsistencies than I would have liked, that seemed to leave gaps in the overall experience. I would have loved a more in-depth dive into the character's struggles when complications arose. Essentially, if the overall story was fleshed out just a bit more, it would have been just right. Despite what I liked or didn't, this is a read for many people to enjoy. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

I kept getting pulled into this story and I was hoping it would end the way it did, but on the way there I wanted to know more information. I wanted to know a little bit more about the background of Luc. I didn’t like the sex scenes initially only because if you’ve read one, you’ve read them all. Then the author part of me said how does this change and it does change because it becomes more of an act of their love rather than the only thing that drives it. And then there’s some analysis that goes on that explains that change. So I liked that. I admit that this book goes much more quickly than some books I’ve read. I am used to a more leisurely relaxed pace. I’m interested to see if the other two books in the series revisit this story. I kept wondering how Luke could be so calm in all of that chaos. And I kept thinking that Lily should be a little more stable in the midst of all that Com it is chaotic and noisy. I know that for sure. But that was part of her character. I was inserting myself into the story I suppose by wanting to be the observer calm in all the chaos instead of reacting to it. I guess that’s why I gave it five stars because I kept inserting myself into the story and then taking myself out of it and saying that I like the way it makes me think and I like the way the book ended. I liked to write stories about people with specialties like rock stars. I am actually working on a story about a rockstar so that was part of the reason that I chose to pick up this book. I’m glad I did.

"And, all of this change happened just over a week ago"

It starts off like a fever dream. You have to suspend reality and just float through the fantasy. Lily and Luc are thrust together at a party, only starting a catalyst for what boasts to be an epic lovestory (Lucifer and Lilith folklore for emphasis). And their night and day feel almost unreal like you're just witnessing someone's fantasy rather than a detailed story. However, much like their chemistry and the descriptions, it is all consuming. Luc drinks her in like he is breathing for the first time and it is hard to really gauge Lily's thoughts because she started indifferent but allows all of this to happen to her. And you see what is going to happen long before it happens.

The book very much is separated into 2 parts. I like the beginning part better than the second because, while the second part is a little more ground in reality, it's more level headed. But still not fully rational. The characters are able to simmer and process what is happening rather than fueled by hormones and emotion.

This book is so well written. The characters literally seem to flow and float. Their emotions and touches purely descriptive artwork. "The kind of look that fills my lungs and steals my breath at the same time" I am hooked on this books (and future series), so it is definitely in my rockstar reads list!

Luc and Lily

Tropes:
* Rockstar
* Separation
* Second chance
* He falls first (and hard)
* Amnesia

Devil’s muse is so good. It’s short, and moves quickly but it doesn’t feel rushed.
I knew this would have emotional depth, but… wow!
Told in two parts… the first focusses on their meeting, which was pretty epic.
Lily (Lillith) meets Luc (Lucifer) - btw, love the reference in there - at a band party because her friend wants to hook up with the guitarist.
Honestly, Luc was pretty gross on those first meetings, but I’m glad he was able to turn it around.
They had a gorgeous 36 hours together…. and then…

Part two…
Firstly, I love how the outcome of the events was shown, rather than told. It was pretty clever, and paved the way for certain characters to enter the story.
But… wow… the emotions in this part were there. Anger, heartbreak, sorrow, confusion, happiness…. he had no idea how to feel, and Lily… well, she was pretty much the same!
Luc was the ultimate rockstar boyfriend. A little demanding, but super protective and absolutely all in.

The chemistry was electric, the muse dynamic was delivered well, and an absolutely unputdownable story…
Cannot wait for book 2…. but I might be looking forward to Mikey’s more…

Thanks Michelle and Literary Inspired for the copy.

OK so I looooooove me a good ol Rock Star Romance and add on a little second chance... man did Michelle Windsor deliver!

Lucifer and Lilith's (Luc & Lily) first meet was FIRE.. full of passion.. things some dream of.. till it wasn't.. FF, Luc is on one of the biggest tours of his life and the one person he never thought he would ever see again (but cant stop thinking about) is right there..

I absolutely love LOVE LOVED the chemistry between Luc and Lily <3 I mean full on EXPLOSION! I loved every single second of it.

You know when you HAVE put a book down (not that you want to but have to..?) and that is all you can think about.. and like you know your not going to get to get any sleep now or.. or you keep running scenarios in your head.. then you sneak out of bed to finish the book... Ummmm Yeah that's what this book did to me. AND I LOVED IT.. I was exhausted the next day but I regret NOTHING.

---> I mean.. what..? There isn’t a world I want to be in if I can’t have you. Even if it destroys me

Devil’s Muse surprised me in the best way. While it has all the elements you expect from a rockstar romance, the story leans much more into emotion and connection than over-the-top drama. The chemistry between Luc and Lily is immediate and intense, but it never feels shallow. Their relationship develops in a way that feels honest, with real obstacles and real choices shaping the story instead of manufactured angst.

I especially appreciated how balanced this book felt. The spice enhances the romance without taking over, and the emotional moments give the story depth. Luc’s struggle between his music and the people he loves adds weight, while Lily brings strength and heart that grounds the entire story. It’s a fast, engaging read that stands out in the genre and left me genuinely excited to see where this series goes next.

Thank you to Michelle Windsor and Meg from Literary inspired for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was my first book by this author and this rockstar romance was AMAZING! Lily and Luc's chemistry was undeniable and I was swooning so bad. The tension, the tenderness.. ugh 😍 Then I gasped. Because WTH. 😭🤯

This was phenomenal. It was everything I wanted and hit all the spots. I laughed, smiled, eyes tried to leak, was taken by surprise on some parts. Filled with emotion, connection, and vulnerability. it was intense and heartbreaking (at some parts). Phenomenal.

Perfect balance of plot and spice. I couldn't put this one down. I can't wait for the next one ♥️ this series is going to be fantastic.

“This devil fell for an angel, only to discover she had the ability to make hell burn brighter.“

Lily never thought that going to a concert could change her life. Meeting Luc was a complete accident she never saw coming. Luc was supposed to be 1 day of fun. Nothing personal, no feelings but a good time with someone who saw past his rockstar life. Then as the day goes on they both know 36 hours together is not enough. But when Luc wakes up the next day and Lily is nowhere to be found. Gone without a trace.. and with no phone number, address or even last name, all that's left is the memory of their time together. 2 years later, Luc finds himself in the same city he met Lily. When he spots her, he knows that everything about them was fate. But when Lily sees him, she can't remember anything but his eyes.

Not me finishing this book in one sitting! Holy carp, I loved this story with all my heart. Everything about this love story took me out. From beginning to end, Luc and Lily were perfect. This book flowed so nicely and organic. It was very clear how fast Luc fell for Lily.. she was different in every way. Lily tried so hard to protect herself from this charming man but she really did not stand a chance.

This book surprised me in the best way possible. It was emotional, humorous, and utterly enthralling. You can imagine my shock when I realised I'd devoured this book in a matter of hours rather than taking a whole week like my last read did. I was immediately drawn into the story and found myself dreading the concept of a much-needed snack break halfway through. I loved the solid character developement as well as the interwoven story behind the names Lilith, Lucifer and Michael (a connection I probably wouldn't have made on my own). Lily's amnesia and surprise bundle of joy seamlessly fit into the story, leaving my heart aching and my fingers quickly tapping for the next page. Michelle's writing was such a pleasure to read and I absolutely cannot wait for book two!

I'm super thankful to have been chosen as an ARC reader for this book and I am voluntarily leaving this review! :)

Why doesn't love a great Rockstar storyline!! This book is one of the best Rockstar storylines I have read in a very long time!!
It is based on Lucifer who is the lead singer of the band - Devil's Halo and Lilith (Lily) who meet by chance which sets off a number of events that shapes their lives.
What I enjoyed about this book was the heartfelt storyline which the characters saw what they had and realised it is what they were looking for!
The spice was so hot and I didn't want the book to end 😫
Do they get together? Do they stay together? You will just have to read the book to find out.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Although I'm not usually a Rockstar romance reader, this book was really good!

I don't think there is a trope name for what happens with Lucifer and Lilith, although second chance at romance might be it. They have a fling and then Lily leaves, going back to her life. Luc needs her. but she's gone. No names, no identifying information. Luc ends up almost killing his career.

When they meet again, things are different. Can Luc get Lily to travel with him to see if they're still compatible? Circumstances for Lily have changed and she's not a free as she was. Will Luc embrace the change or will it mean an end to their relationship?

A well written romance.
