Good, action-packed story where readers feel the tension and desperation of the situation. The authors do an admirable job in building the character profiles and scenes in a very short time -- hence being part of the Bullet Books Speed Reads collection.
Don't recommend the virtual-voice narration because it makes many of the scenes fall flat, but other than a few mispronounced words, it's hard to tell it's not a human narrator. So those who just want the story told, not performed, might be okay with it. (And it's included in Prime memberships for no extra cost.)
MY THOUGHTS - I really loved this one! A missing person/abduction book, YES! Scored one point right away. I don’t know why but I am attracted to books about missing persons. “Christmas music in the middle of a desert kidnapping. Madness.” This book was great! I was invested right away.
I almost want to say that I wish this was a full length novel because it was so good, but… It’s actually perfect just the way it is, coming in at 106 pages. This really was the perfect read! Every time something happened I found myself yelling "YES!" with a fist pump cheering Holly and Caldwell on.
If you want a book that’s quick, fun, action packed, a little romance, and a touch of Christmas with a sinister Santa…READ THIS BOOK!
I highly recommend this book! Now I know I must read more by this author.

A gripping read from start to finish. You’re thrown straight into a kidnapping with no clues and no time to waste. Caldwell Beck, an attorney, and his fiancée Holly have escaped to New Mexico for a quiet getaway from the chaos of courtroom life. But when Holly vanishes, Caldwell is thrust into a desperate race to find her before the kidnapper makes good on his threats—against her and against him. Can he save her in time? I read this in one sitting. The story pulls you in from the very first page and doesn’t let go until the final reveal.
