When she arrives with her cousin and best friend, Kiysha, by her side, she’s informed that the rules have she’ll be going on 12 blind dates!
Vaughn throws all inhibitions aside for a chance at love, or at least to get interesting content for the relationships blog she’s decided to resurrect. But Vaughn quickly finds out that just because there are tons of fish in the sea, it doesn’t mean they’re all a great catch!
With each blind date, Vaughn realizes her love for Trace is still in her heart, but is disheartened that he may have moved on to another woman. But as fate, faith, and love would have it, Trace returns with reasons why their lives would be better together than they are apart.
Tia McCollors used to dream of being a television news anchor, but her destiny led her behind the pages instead of in front of the cameras. After earning a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from UNC-Chapel Hill, she went on to build a successful career in the public relations industry. In 1999, a job layoff prompted Tia to discover and pursue a writing career as an author. Following the birth of her son in 2006, she left the corporate arena to focus on her family and her expanding writing and speaking business.
Tia’s first novel, A Heart of Devotion, was an Essence Magazine bestseller. She followed her popular debut with four other inspirational novels including Zora’s Cry, The Truth About Love, The Last Woman Standing, and Steppin’ Into The Good Life. In 2012, she released If These Shoes Could Talk, her first devotion book of The Prissy Purse Devotions series. Tia’s sixth novel, Friday Night Love, will be released in May 2014, followed by Sunday Morning Song in October 2014.
In addition to being an author, Tia is an inspirational speaker as well as an instructor for writing workshops. Her speaking and literary works have been spotlighted in a growing number of publications, including Black Enterprise magazine, Who’s Who In Atlanta, The Good Life magazine and the Atlanta-Journal Constitution. In December 2013, she was honored to receive the Jubilee of Reading Heritage Award by the DeKalb County Library System.
Give Me A Reason was a beautiful love story true to Tia McCollors style. I love all her characters, Vaughn and Trace included. Vaughn is a real estate agent who has moved up the ladder in her career, which put her love life on hold. She agrees to attend an even for singles in her area forcing her to go on multiple dates. Trace is hoping that one day Vaughn will see him as more than a friend, and is biding his time while she explores these dates. The characters were entertaining and relatable. I wanted to know more of them by the end of the book. I can't wait for what's next from Tia McCollors.
My sister text me this morning and recommended I read this author. I immediately looked her up and downloaded this book to my Kindle. So glad I did! Ms. McCollors kept her novel totally clean and kept the hero and heroine sanctified. This was a lovers to friends, friends, friends to lovers novel. Ms. Vaughn Holiday had deeply put her friend Trace in the Friend’s Zone. He wanted out so bad, but Ms. Vaughn would not budge. I enjoyed her blog about her dating adventures. Huggy Bear was my favorite of the dates she endured. Some of the other dates, I’m know some girls have experienced some of dating disasters that Vaughn blogged about. I never did like going out with a cheap skate, and always had my own money to cover myself on a date. Sometimes, you instantly know it’s one and done. All her blogged dates were one and done, and she knew they would be. But it was fun and enlightening to experience what dating is like for many of our daughters.
I absolutely loved this book! When the right man for you finds you and know that you are the one for him, nothing will stop him! You will laugh, cry and shake your head at this cast of characters. Waiting for a follow-up book. Please and thank you!
First off, I have been waiting on this book since it was announced. It didn't disappoint. Vaughn is young real estate professional who wants love but is afraid if committing due to being hurt in the past. Her ex trace gives her 2 tickets to a mix and mingle event where she goes on 12 dates and from there hilarity ensues. I don't want to give away too much but true love always wins out. This is a Christian Romance but I liked the fact that it was not preachy. Another 5 star read from Tia Mccollors.
Vaughn is a real estate agent that enjoy baking also. Vaughn wants love but she is afraid of being hurt, due to the past. Trace, which is her ex, gives her tickets to a mix and mingles function. Vaughn will go out on 12 dates with 12 different men. Vaughn decides to blog about the dates that she went on. Vaughn is in love with Trace but truly afraid that he will hurt her. Love is in the air.
This is truly one of the best romance books I have ever read! Vaugh and Trace were truly a match made in heaven. This is one of those books that you want to know how it ends, but you don't want it to end.
My first Tia book and it won't be my last. I loved Trace and Vaugh's story. I literally had laugh out loud monuments. I simply love it. Sweet and pure.
