Persuade is a raw, passionate urban romance about what happens when the one person you can’t let go is also the only one who truly knows you. Sway is a reformed bad boy with a wild streak and a heart that only beats for Maleeka, the woman he’s loved—and lost—more than once. Maleeka is determined to find peace and stability, but Sway’s magnetic pull and their explosive chemistry keep dragging her back into his orbit.
When Maleeka tries to move on and marry someone “safe,” Sway refuses to let her go, setting off a chain of dramatic, hilarious, and heart-wrenching events. From burning down churches to crashing weddings, Sway’s love is as unhinged as it is loyal. But beneath the chaos is a story about healing, forgiveness, and the kind of love that survives heartbreak, betrayal, and time.
With a vibrant cast of family and friends, laugh-out-loud dialogue, and moments that will make you swoon and scream, Persuade is about fighting for your soulmate—even when the world (and your own pride) tries to keep you apart.
If you’ve ever loved someone so much it scared you, if you believe in second chances, and if you want a romance that’s as real as it is wild—this is the book for you.
Swayyyyyyyy!!!! If you want a man that's going to fight for you in an over the top not thinking through anything it's this book. Quick read but so worth it. There were only a couple of moments when the FMC maleeka got on my nerves but I was just ready for them to get back together. The MMC Sway did not play about his family.
The book was really good. Sway was unhinged and funny. There are a lot of errors that disrupted my reading and that is why I gave it four stars. Without the errors it is easily a 5 star read. Definitely will read other books by this author
Honestly, maleeka annoyed the hell outta me the whole book. Like wth girl, get it together. Don't know what you want but know what you want, confused but playing, get it together. This needed to get proofread and edited
Sway!!! This book was hilarious and sweet! Burned that church to the ground! Sway doesn’t play about what’s his. Now Maleeka, you should’ve gotten it together way sooner girl
This book was a lot of fun. Had me chuckling, talking to it, wanting to shake characters, etc. I plan on looking into more of her books as soon as I can
