They say love your neighbor… but what if they’re the enemy?
When her parents split and her mom announces that they’re broke, Quinn’s world is flipped. Goodbye private prep school, hello Snow Ridge High. Her new mission? Survive senior year without anyone finding out her family’s secret—especially Miller Trask, the boy next door whose family her mom has feuded with over everything from trash bins to barking dogs to noisy motorbikes.
Miller has been intrigued by Quinn since he moved into the house across the street from her. She’s the prettiest girl he’s ever seen but he knows she’s way out of his league. At least, she was—until she shows up riding the school bus and claiming the locker right beneath his.
Quinn’s determined to keep her distance. Miller’s determined not to say anything stupid every time he’s near her. But when they both end up working the local potato harvest, Miller finds out there’s way more to Quinn than perfect hair and designer clothes.
And the more fascinated he becomes, the harder it is to stay away.
An enemies-to-lovers romance about pride and potatoes, and add in a traitorous dog and Squishmallows. Quinn and Miller's story is a sweet teen romance with no spice and no swearing.
Enemy Crush is Book 4 in the Sweet Crushes series. They’re standalone romances set in the same small town of Snow Ridge.
This was a decent young adult read. I did enjoy some parts, but not particularly memorable. The biggest issue for me was that the two main characters barely interacted until about 60–70% into the book. They mostly said a few words to each other before and just looking at one another. By the time they finally connected, their relationship and the story’s main emotional arc felt a bit rushed.
Overall, it’s a solid read if you’re looking for something light and quick.
This was a really sweet, young adult romance. When Quinn returns from visiting her dad for the summer, she finds out that her life has been turned upside down. She’s being transferred from her private school to public school for her senior year of high school. Her mom sold her car and a lot of house furnishings, and so much more. After growing up in a house with a gardener and a nanny, her family’s riches have been turned to rags.
Miller is the boy across the street. His dad is a single father and he has a younger brother, a dog, and a motorbike. Quinn’s mom and Miller’s dad refer to each other as the enemy, so there’s a bit of a family feud, class differences, enemies to sweethearts vibe.
Quinn’s mom swore her to secrecy so she enters her new school feeling even more alone. Abandoned by her old friends, and scared to make new ones, she’s targeted by bullies since she’s formerly from the prep school. When she is driven to sign up to help with the potatoes harvest because they are in need of finances, she has some more forced proximity with Miller.
This book had so many sweet moments that had me smiling. It was an easy read that I breezed through. There’s just something special about a first crushes, high school romance. This is a just kisses romance, intimacy level 1. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.
I received an eARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
It was a bit on the cringey side, but it’s a Y/A romance so that’s expected. I did enjoy the book though, the story follows next door neighbors Quinn and miller who’s family’s are supposedly enemies. (Hence the name of the book) I feel like they could’ve interacted more (this is the second time the characters get caught kissing by a teacher in a Kylie key book that I’ve read😭) but anyways obviously she didn’t but it could be taken in the way that she likes mason when you don’t think about ages and stuff. When it got to the potato farm I finally got into the book and enjoyed it more and there relationship started at that point(not a fan of the hiding that she’s poor thing) good character development from her mom there towards the end. And yeah I have nothing else to say. 3.0⭐️⭐️⭐️
Quinn's struggle with the upheaval of her world is worsened by her mother's insistence on secrecy. The pain of her isolation from friends, past and present, made me feel deeply sad for Quinn. Slowly she discovers who she is and who her friends are. Miller is uninspired to do more than skate through life until he meets Quinn. Between the contrived family feud and a serious case of foot in mouth disease, he has trouble reaching Quinn. Yet, working to together and small gestures break the wall between them. I felt a full range of emotions as a read this book, fully empathizing with the characters. This may be the best of the series.
I do feel sorry for her changing school for your last year sounds awful and so are her friends It’s dragged so bad, took so long to get to the potato harvest Why the hell did she nearly pass out and then say she felt “amazing” Girl just needs a good cry I didn’t like him asking her to hocoming so suddenly like we barely got any tension or romance with them I don’t think the writing was bad just maybe the storyline and how it dragged with barely any romance The writer definitely likes squish mellows

Quinn's life has imploded. Her parents’s split, her senior year in a new High School, no car and taking the bus to school, and her neighbour’s, her enemy, riding the bus with her. Miller’s crush on her neighbour is been going on for a while and suddenly she is in the bus to his High School. They so different but the more they interact the more they realise they could be good friends and so much more. Sweet and funny and full of friendship, family, trust and love.
A really cute teen romance with all the feels of falling for the neighbor who is the enemy. Quinn is the rich girl whose family has gone broke and she starts school at the local high school, running into Miller her neighbor. Then they end up in a class together and doing the potato harvest. Miller sees her as a spoilt brat but his opinion changes when she helps his younger brother. A fun romance
Sweet story although I felt like it got a slow start to the teen romance part. Just took too long for them to interact and it wast enough for my liking. I did enjoy the characters and plot however. No foul language was awesome!
