Praying Genesis invites readers to encounter Scripture not just with the mind but with the heart and body. Part of The Living Word Series, this beautifully written devotional guides readers through every chapter of Genesis, offering prayers that transition from lament to hope, from confession to praise, and from chaos to new creation. Each prayer gives voice to the human struggle and divine faithfulness found in these ancient stories (creation and fall, promise and exile, wrestling and blessing), revealing how God still breathes life into dust today. Designed for both personal devotion and communal worship, these prayers help readers listen for the Spirit who still hovers over darkness and calls light into being. In every beginning and ending, they remind us that creation isn’t finished, and every breath is another chance to begin again with God.
