The Vanished series continues with Shattered: In a turbulent world reshaped by the Rapture, ancient prophecies stir as the ominous Antichrist rises.

In a world turned upside down by the cataclysmic events of the Rapture, the unraveling of divine prophecies stirs chaos and uncertainty. Saul Katz, a gifted scientist, finds his life irrevocably changed as he joins the 144,000 chosen evangelists.

In the shadows of Istanbul, John Haggerty embarks on his own perilous journey, driven by vengeance. He holds Matthias Vilks, the ominous face of the Antichrist, accountable for the collapse of America and his own heart-wrenching loss. But between the dangerous lures of power and the call to resist the satanic forces gathering, Haggs finds his choices shadowed by peril.

As darkness gathers and prophecy, betrayal, and redemption intertwine, faith and courage are the world's final bastions of hope against impending doom.

Dr. David Jeremiah, founder of Turning Point Radio and Television Ministries and senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church, felt God’s calling on his life at a very early age. Born February 13, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio, Dr. Jeremiah was raised in a family deeply committed to ministry. At the age of eleven, Dr. Jeremiah and his family moved to Dayton, Ohio where his father, Dr. James T. Jeremiah, was the Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, and in 1953 became the President of Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio.

As Dr. Jeremiah was sensitive to God’s leading in his life, he followed in his father’s footsteps. In 1963, Dr. Jeremiah received a Bachelor of Arts from Cedarville College. In that same year, Dr. Jeremiah married his college sweetheart, Donna Thompson who also was attending Cedarville College as a business major. He went on to earn a Masters degree in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1967. He completed additional graduate work at Grace University and was granted the Doctor of Divinity degree from Cedarville College in 1981.

In 1969, Dr. Jeremiah began Blackhawk Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and developed a Christian school grades K through 12. In the 12 years he served as pastor, Blackhawk Baptist Church grew from 7 families to 1300 members. He also launched The Bible Hour television program.

Dr. Jeremiah heeded God’s call, and in 1981 he and his family moved to California where he became the senior pastor of Scott Memorial Baptist Church, now Shadow Mountain Community Church.

Shadow Mountain Community Church is one of the largest churches in San Diego County. It is also the home of Southern California Seminary and Christian Unified Schools.

As Dr. Jeremiah began his ministry at Shadow Mountain, he felt God’s calling to continue the broadcast ministry he started in Fort Wayne. In 1982, Turning Point Ministries became a reality.

Today, Turning Point's 30-minute radio program is heard nationally and internationally on over 1800 stations and translator/satellators. In recognition of Dr. Jeremiah’s commitment to teaching the Word of God, he received the Broadcaster of the Year Award in 1999 from the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), in August 2002, received the Award of Merit from the Western Chapter of National Religious Broadcasters for Excellence in Broadcasting and Faithfulness in Service, and in 2006 Turning Point received the Best Radio Teaching Program Award. Dr. Jeremiah has served on the Board of Directors for the NRB since 1996.

Turning Point launched a television program in 1982 in San Diego and went nationwide in 2000. Now seen around the world through cable and satellite technology, as well as on terrestrial stations all across the United States, conservative estimates suggest that close to 200 million homes around the world have access to Dr. Jeremiah's Bible teaching each week. Turning Point Television offers a half-hour Bible study message and a full hour worship service with the same great preaching. Carried on several national and international networks such as TBN, ION, and INSP, Turning Point Television has most recently been added to Middle East TV Network and BET, the Black Entertainment Network.

Dr. Jeremiah is a sought-after conference speaker for organizations around the country. He frequently speaks at Cedarville College, Dallas Theological Seminary, Moody Bible Institute, Billy Graham Training Center, Phil Waldrep’s Senior Adult Celebrations and numerous NFL, NBA and Baseball chapels.

Along with his speaking schedule around the country, Dr. Jeremiah also finds time to fulfill another passion in his life, writing. His books are always gripping and right to the point. Some of his books include Escape the Coming Night, The Power of Encouragement, What the Bible Says About Angels, Prayer The Great Adventure, which brought him The Gold Medallion Award in 1998, God In You, Gifts from God

Shattered" is book 2 in "The Vanished" series by Dr. David Jeremiah co written with Sam O’Neal. The series explores what may happen during the end times based on Biblical fact. Shattered takes up where Vanished left us, with the world still reeling from the Rapture. Ancient prophecies are happening and the Antichrist is growing his power.

The novel picks up from the Vanished with Saul Katz, a brilliant scientist. Saul finds his life transformed as he is chosen to be one of the 144,000 evangelists. Meanwhile, John Haggerty, also from book one, is on a path of vengeance. He holds the Antichrist, Matthias Vilks, responsible for the destruction of America as well as his own personal losses.

Dr. Jeremiah deals with faith and courage in a dark and desperate world where characters must rely on their faith to resist the forces of evil. In a haunting manner, readers are exposed to prophecy, betrayal, and hope for redemption. Scary and jarring is the Rise of the Antichrist depicted in a fictionalized account of how the Antichrist, a charismatic but malevolent leader, comes to power.

All this from the scholarly and renowned point of view of pastor Dr. Jeremiah. He has penned another thrilling page-Turner, giving readers a look into biblical end-times prophecy.

The co authors have blended captivating text into intense suspense all with biblical themes.

“Shattered" scheduled for release on June 16, 2026, is not a stand alone read so grab your copy of The Vanished to read prior in order to understand the full context of the story and the well developed characters.

A Look at "Shattered"
"Shattered" is the second installment in Dr. David Jeremiah's "The Vanished" series, a fictional exploration of the end times. This Christian futuristic thriller is set in a world still reeling from the Rapture, where ancient prophecies are unfolding and the Antichrist is consolidating his power.
The novel follows two central characters on their perilous journeys. Saul Katz, a brilliant scientist, finds his life transformed as he is chosen to be one of the 144,000 evangelists. Meanwhile, John Haggerty, who was introduced in the first book of the series, "Vanished," is on a path of vengeance. He holds the Antichrist, Matthias Vilks, responsible for the destruction of America and his own profound personal losses.
"Shattered" delves into themes of:
•Faith and Courage: In a world succumbing to darkness, the characters must rely on their faith to resist the forces of evil.
•Prophecy and Redemption: The novel weaves a narrative of intertwining prophecy, betrayal, and the hope for redemption.
•The Rise of the Antichrist: The story provides a fictionalized account of how the Antichrist, a charismatic but malevolent leader, comes to power.
Dr. David Jeremiah, a renowned pastor and author of over fifty books, is known for his extensive work on biblical prophecy. In "The Vanished" series, he brings his theological insights to a fictional narrative, creating a story that is both a thrilling page-turner and a reflection on biblical end-times prophecy.
I really enjoyed this book and couldn't get enough of it! The way Dr. Jeremiah blends suspense with biblical themes is captivating. I can't wait for the next book in the series to see what happens next.
Please note: "Shattered" is scheduled for release on June 16, 2026, and is currently available for pre-order. For those new to the series, it is recommended to start with the first book, "Vanished," to get the full context of the story.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Shattered is the gripping second installment in the Vanished series—a fictional yet biblically grounded exploration of the end times. The story opens in the immediate aftermath of the Rapture, picking up seamlessly where book one left off.
John Haggerty, a doctor introduced earlier in the series, is consumed by grief and vengeance after losing his entire family in the Rapture. Although many know that only Christ-followers disappeared, a growing movement now claims the event was nothing more than the result of a new global pandemic. Caught in his uncertainty, John finds himself working alongside the self-proclaimed Anti-Christ.
Saul Katz, a scientist also left behind, undergoes a profound transformation and joins the rapidly expanding group of new evangelists. Meanwhile, Abigail Hart—who lost her husband and infant son—never doubts what caused the “Great Disappearance.” She has built a thriving underground network of believers who are courageously spreading the truth.
This fast-paced, compelling story blends faith, courage, and the eternal battle between good and evil during the perilous days of the Tribulation. It’s an absorbing continuation of the series and a powerful reminder of hope in the darkest times.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All comments and opinions are my own.

Just finished reading this one.
A very different read outside of my comfort zone for sure. I liked it ok
Sounds like a very scary world after the rapture. I'm glad I won't be here for that.
Lots of action going on that kept me turning the pages. I did like that about this book. Its like the Left Behind series and I'll be honest I did like this story but Left Behind was better.
There were some twists and turns that I never saw coming. Some had me looking over my shoulder to see what was behind me.
Some parts were kind of boring so I skipped over those. But otherwise it was an interesting tale of what might happen after the Rapture.
I will say that I might be surprised and lost like Saul when his friend disappeared. I couldn't imagine what that might be like. One minute there and gone the next and you're still there. No way! I'll be gone up. I don't want to stay and see what happens!!
4.5 stars for keeping me interested all the way through.
Thanks for the opportunity to read and review. I was NOT required to write a positive review .all opinions expressed are mine.

SHATTERED is the second novel in the Vanished series by DR DAVID JEREMIAH and I can’t wait for the next one! It is an exciting and gruelling read as we see the rise of the Antichrist and False Prophet, who use the Trident group to control those who have been left behind after the Rapture of the church. We also see the minitry of Abigail Hart and the World Wide Way, which consists of like-minded believers, as opposed to her “Uncle” John Haggerty, a doctor who joins the Trident Group and is caught up in a world of lies. There is also Saul Katz, who has become a believer in Yeshua, to name a few of the characters. ……
The author is a well known Bible teacher who is well versed in End Time prohecy, and the story is totally based on the truth of God’s Word. The book is full of relevant verses, mostly from Daniel and Revelations, which help us to understand the coming horrors of the Great Tribulation.
I cannot recommend this brilliant book strongly enough.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Thomas Nelson. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

A big thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, the second installment in the Vanished series.

Other reviewers have submitted extensive synopses, and I will not repeat their efforts here. But I am reminded that two of the main characters, a doctor named John and his niece Abigail (who runs a very secret online social site whose users have come to believe in Jesus) both lost their entire families at the "great disappearance," more familiarly known as the Rapture. In this book we see the antichrist take the stage, as well as the Two Prophets and the beginnings of the 144,000 evangelists. These events are very familiar to me as I have read a lot about the End Times.

I will not "spoil" the ending of this book, which takes place near the events that happen halfway through the 7-year Tribulation. I will be interested to read the next installment to see what the characters do as life on earth becomes more and more difficult.

“The time has come to pick a side.”
Characters old and new come together to create a vivid picture of what the tribulation could look like with the technology and knowledge we have in today’s world. The beginning was a little slow and wandering, but increasing action kept me turning pages. The second half was impossible to put down, while the ending left me so stunned I read it more than once. I definitely cannot wait to see what the next book holds. I need to know what happens! A spectacular series from Dr. David Jeremiah!

I had been looking forward to reading this book since I finished the first one in the series last year and it did not disappoint. The plot is too close for comfort with all that is going on in the world. The Rapture or Great Disappearing has happened and the Rise of the AntiChrist is happening. This is a page turner and you will want to make sure you have read the first book in the series before this one to give you the background details on what is happening. Looking forward to what comes in the next book!

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this in advance.

I really enjoyed this book; it was even better than the first one. It’s about the first half of the 7 year tribulation. Very suspenseful, full of the unexpected, even though you half-way know what’s going to happen, if you have read Revelation. Definitely a work of fiction, it kept me on the edge of my seat! Can’t wait for the next one!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. This is the second in a series and details what happens after the Rapture of the Church. Such a scary time. He brings the end times to life in a very real way. Hopefully there's another book coming.

This is an excellent continuation of the novel Vanished. Tribulation is described believably; the characters are relatable. Great storytelling about the things to come.
