Phenomenal story featuring Daddy Saul and Little Cam! The anxiety rep is so well done and meaningful/impactful. There is depth and relatability of the main characters that they almost feel like you could just go visit. Saddle Up just may be where it’s at to find some interesting reads!

If you are familiar with this author and The Plumas books in particular, then you may remember Cam as Kara’s bestie from her ‘old’ life. It was just so lovely to see some healing for them both. Kara is to be loved and protected at all costs. (There’s others too but you have read more Plumas stories ;)) Now it seems Cam may just need to be in the category as well. Or maybe I just have a thing for these littles! I’m ready to open up a Milkshake shop and be a safe space…

Anyway, well paced, well written featuring found family, hurt/comfort, forced proximity, DD/lb, ABDL and more! Highly recommend!

This book is part of the multi-author Saddle Up collection and there’s no need to have read the other books in order for this one to make sense. They all stand alone just fine. This book does stem from another book the author has written where Cam was apparently a secondary character, but even having never read that, I found that the book worked just fine.

There’s a lot going on in this book from both the MCs, as well as the kink side of things. I will say that, for me at times, the story got a bit chaotic because of all the different points. But at its core, its about two men who find each other sort of by accident, whose kinks align, and are able to find their happily ever after.

I had so so much fun reading this book! Saúl and Cam were so lovable and relatable. They truly felt like real people. I would love to be friends with them and it was so easy to root for their happily ever after.
They were both struggling and it was so nice seeing them grow as characters, fall in love and be better by the end of the book. The setting with the animal sanctuary was great. I loved meeting all the different animals.
I also liked a lot that the author made sure to show the importance of therapy and I loved the connection between this book and the Plumas universe. It was a really pleasant surprise.
If you are in the mood for an emotional DD/lb book with hurt/comfort, explosive chemistry between the two main characters and cute animals I highly recommend it. It warned my heart.

I thought this was going to be some light cowboy romance with a bit of explicit content but it was a disturbing story about a guy with severe, crippling anxiety (who happens to have a couple of kinks). I guess I should have researched the author and book more thoroughly. For some reason the handling of the character’s life altering anxiety and extreme self-loathing did not sit well with me, starting with the fact that there’s no explanation for either of those (except for him ghosting a friend at the worst possible time). There’s little improvement as the character still thinks people who seemingly like him and consider him a friend will hate him because he doesn’t like the cake they baked at the end of the book… Add to all the heavy stuff the kind of kinks he’s into, and it’s a terrible mess that left me feeling disturbed.

This review is based on an ARC I received.

I blew through this book. I was engaged from the get-go. And I'm so glad we got Cam's story, that was shrouded in mystery in Kara's book. (Dramatized, but Cam ghosting Kara was mentioned, but not explored) Cam is just so dang likeable I wanted to wrap him up in a blanket and squeeze him. Saul proves to be worthy after he spends some time getting over himself. As someone with anxiety, I appreciated the anxiety rep in Cam. And hoooo boy does he have anxiety. Which ended up making him self-aware in very refreshing ways. I think that's a lot of what kept me reading.

a lot of rambling

I can tell when books aren’t from English as a first language writers. I’m aware we’re all self publishing, etc. but please have editors specific for the correct language translation. As a long time reader it’s annoying and hard to understand when books aren’t translated properly.
