I used an early version in teaching history of psychology one year. I thought it was decent but the students found it to be pretty tough sledding. Probabaly quite outdated by now.
Almost finished, is a really good book if you are interested in Psychology and you don't have a clue where to begin; the book cleverly contextualizes the most trascendental psychological systems with their most prominent psychologists, and give a background in terms of their political, economic and social environment in order to understand not only their theories but what was the historical context behind those theories.
As I said in the beginning of this review, it's a very nice book if you are interested in Psychology and you need a reference book to start.
