Honesti crossed a line with the two people she’s always trusted most, then vanished before sunrise.
Now she’s back in Atlanta for Friendsgiving, and the tension hasn’t gone anywhere. Symere and Maleia haven’t forgotten. Not her laugh, not that night, and definitely not the way she left.
They’re not mad. But they’re not open-ended, either.
3⭐️🌶️🌶️ Short FFM poly novella. This book had the potential to be better, but I felt like the transition between chapters was a little bit rough. Then we just skipped to the epilogue, and I just felt like something was missing.
Well all I can say is Nasty November….this was a cute spicy read that I enjoyed. My first time reading a FFM as well as my first read from CM Campbell and this won’t be my last.
I was immediately sucked in from the prologue. This story envelopes on “if things are left unsaid, how would you know to explore or to take to the next level”? Three best friends Honesti, Maleia, & Symere (married couple) - explore the dynamics of their friendship, and if things could go any further. Miss Campbell didn’t hesitate on displaying the spice off gate(now that’s how you start a spicy novella). Had me questioning if this story was gonna be a sweet little cozy story with love or real raw nastiness. The characters were both lovable and relatable - the main thing was how patient and understanding the married couple Maleia and Symere was with their friend Honesti. Although this is a novella, sometimes short and straight to the point is what’s needed. Great Thanksgiving themed read!
4/5 - They came out swinging with the smut in the first few pages! Nasty and short just like I like it. I only wish we got the backstory as to how this arrangement was presented to Honesti (which I love how her name was spelled).
I really enjoy CM's writing style, she does her stories with such tenderness and just beautiful writing. The way she is able to write an erotica, but make it so cozy at the same time while the characters are being put through the mattress.
Table for Three is a thanksgiving erotica novella that follows 3 friends, two of which are married. When friendsgiving turned into more that turkey being gobbled up, Honesti ran for the hills the next morning trying to process what happened.
A year later the crew is back together, and Honesti says she is done running.
I enjoyed this, it was a good time. I wish the chapters had whose point of view it was because I was confused at times on who was talking. Also I wish there was a flashback with more details on how they met, because I felt like I was missing something, and wanted a little more backstory on the characters and their dynamic prior to the hookup.
Overall I really enjoyed the story, the way they took care of each other, and how they stood up for Honesti at that thanksgiving dinner.
I had the luxury of getting an advanced copy of Dinner For Three. A beautiful Trio love story with steamy erotic themes. I absolutely loved the beautiful imagery of the erotic scenes but it was the intimacy between Maleia, Honesti and Symere that won me over. Black love is a beautiful thing even if it’s not in the traditional sense. The poly/non-monogamous world deserves to be included in the spectrum of black love. I thoroughly enjoyed this read, it put a lot of emphasis on how it takes strong people to be in this lifestyle. I especially applaud the way the author wrote the character of Symere there’s a scene where I was like please stand up and speak, I will say I was pleased with the outcome. Overall this was an amazing read. Definitely worth the time and a reread!
Who doesn’t want to be stuffed like a turkey on Thanksgiving? Honesti tried to run and I’m glad she went back. It’s more than an erotica. Cut toxic family off!
This was a short spicy read just in time for Thanksgiving. What started as something that Honesti thought was a mistake, blossomed into so much more with Symere and Maleia. I liked that we saw the bond grow between these three characters even though it was a short read which the pacing and time jumps helped with. I also liked how Symere and Maleia welcomed Honesti into their world and their home so easily. I also appreciated how they put those who didn't understand what they had going on in their place. It was nice seeing the scenes with the three of them together as well as the two FMCs by themselves. It had a little bit of everything when it came to the spice but it wasn't over the top in my opinion. I would have liked to see how these three all met sense it appeared they were friends first but it didn't take away from the storyline in any way and overall I enjoyed the book.
Sigh. I really wanted to love this beyond the smut. It would have been better if this was like a marriage in trouble or happy but seeking a third. Essentially strangers to lover. Then I would have understood why everything seem surface level and centered on sex. Labeling this as friends to lovers has me perplexed because whose friend was Honesti exactly? Granted this is a novella so the point is not to drag the storyline, but give me something to work with. I wanted the friendship to be the foundation that allowed their love to bloom.
That being said, the smut was top tier! There is a scene that would make the walls of Victoria’s Secret shakes. Plus I appreciate Symere handled the family dinner, because that’s how a man is suppose to cover his woman (in this case women). However that’s about all I’ve got.
What works for you doesn’t work for everyone. Your happiness is yours and no one else’s! Let’s chat
This quick read gave you everything from respect, understanding, support and love. Loving who you are is important and loving those that 🥰 . Honesti was hesitate at first as I feel she was a little confused, but when she thought about her happiness, she made the decision to act on it🥰. The way that Symere & Maleia loved on Honesti. Honestly the way they love on each other. Thanksgiving wasn’t just stuffing your face. Baby they were stuffing other things🤭. The spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🌶️was spicing. Loved this down, but wish it was a little longer🫣🤭! Queen did her big one with this one. Can’t wait to see what she drops next.
A sweet and tender kind of love. Their story may be short but it leaves nothing to the imagination in the best way possible. I loved the yearning between the characters and how they showed care and vulnerability. And let’s not forget… this book was SPICY 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
It’s one of those reads that sneaks up on you, soft at first but before you know it you’re completely wrapped up in the tension, the passion, and the emotion. The kind of story that lingers even after the last page, leaving you wishing there was just a little bit more.
Um… So excuse me while I scream into the void for five minutes but CM Campbell, MAAM, please see me after class! This was SO good! When I tell you the spice had my jaw on the floor bc why would you have that lady getting double stuffed like an Oreo!? Cassie has SUCH a beautiful way with words and somehow she can make a 3some sound so… pretty. And the way they loved on each other and showed up for one another was the icing on the cake! 10/10 would definitely recommend!
This novella was told so well & I enjoyed it. A lot of times when an author does a throuple trope it can be a bit redundant or it can seem like you’ve heard the story before. That wasn’t the case with table for three. This story is a friends to friends throuple with no messy conflict. The only thing messy are these steamy scenes 🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥🔥. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read by this author and she’s quickly becoming an automatic read for me!
Listen, don’t let the smooth taste fool you!!!🫠 This is a poly romance, these people love each other. But baby they are fawking, hunching, getting it IN!! And they start on the one. Before we know their names we know who gets like a water park and who can take 🍆. 😈
One thing that CM Campbell does so well is give you a super sexy novella that feels like a full novel. The way she made Thanksgiving come to life from the food, the smells, the sounds, and the judgement…chile the judgement.
Okay now, Ms. Thanksgiving Spice! This short packed a punch, and I enjoyed every second of it. Not only was it nasty (in the best way possible), but the intimacy was very much on point as well. If you like spice and polyamorous relationships, I highly recommend you check this one out.
This was a quick good spicy 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ read Honesti Maleia & Symere need another book I need back stories….I need to know how life goes with the babies…..they loved each other with purpose f what other people thought about their relationship and the way Symere aired dirty laundry at that table I was here for iii. Well done
First, let me just say kudos to Ms. CM Campbell for her vision for this book and for pouring herself into each of her characters . Not only did she deliver a Thanksgiving romance novella centered around the richness of Black Love, which is not seen enough for this holiday season, but she made something non-traditional and judged, be beautiful and admired.
There aren't many polyamorous stories with black characters, so I enjoyed this one a lot. Beside those ooooooh so sexy and spicy scenes that had me reading, rereading ang hilighting, there was so much more "on the table." Here, we got to see a love that many perceive as immoral, messy and selfish be the exact opposite as Symere, Maleia, and Honesti chose each other wholeheartedly 🩵🩷💜 and they weren't about to let the noise from the outside world mess up what they had.
Thank you for sharing a world with a love some of us only dream about and doing it unapologetically. I hope to see more stories like this emerge from your pen, Ms. Campbell 😊.
I need to get more into this author’s catalog, because I am wondering if she more books like this. Because baaabbbbby this was spicy and I love polyamorous romance novels. This book was short but it was really good and I need her to drop more books like this.
Every family is not always the same way. This book is about true love. She deserves to get her flowers. She found a way to share a story that many people dont understand and want to know about. It is a lot to be in a poly relationship and make it work. This couple found their one and made it work.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ This story was a novella that had very low drama. The spicy scenes were done very well and I expected nothing less for an erotica. I really liked the characters and this is a great Thanksgiving read!
Perfect read for Thanksgiving week! I would recommend! 💖
This is exactly the kind of Friendsgiving chaos I live for. From the moment they’re all in the same room again, whew, the air gets thick. Their chemistry is bold, grown, and full of that unfinished-business energy that makes you sit up straight. C.M. Campbell made it sexy, tender, and just messy enough to keep you hooked.
This story gives temptation, accountability, and a whole lot of “so what we doing?” energy wrapped in a Friendsgiving setting. A quick, spicy, delicious read that proves some tables are meant for three and everybody eats.
Some novellas are a fraction of what they claim 2 be but this one tells the story of a woman & her 2 bestie. The three have a spicy night 2 remember & then she runs away scared. After much contemplating she returns 2 rebuild her life with them. The spicy scenes were really hoooottt!
I enjoyed this book a lot. The writing was solid, and the story was easy to follow. I rated this book 3.5 stars because I wished the author could have given us more backstory on the three of them. I had so many questions about their origin that it left me wanting more. The author thrusts us right into the story, and in a way that was a good thing. However, I felt like the story needed a little more. Another 25-50 pages would have done this book justice. Nonetheless, this was a good book.
How do I put this into words .... ive wrote and deleted three times now and I still have nothing but how amazing my first introduction to this authors work knocked me on my behind and I want more!!!!!
Crazy how this is my first read by CM Campbell but won't be the last. This was everything and more! My goodness. I wish it was more, but it gave us enough and hella spice! And I love the first Thanksgiving scene, don't like, get the fuck out! Great book!
If you’re looking for a quick spicy read this is the book. I love how although this was an erotica you were still able to see the love and chemistry between these characters I love it.
