Momo lleva a Bamora, la chica que se transforma en un monstruo gigante, a la escuela en su primer día de clases, y se le ocurre tomar un atajo por unos edificios abandonados. ¡Ahí se topan con la mujer de la boca cortada! Parece que Momo logra derrotarla con unas palabras mágicas y escpar a salvo, pero ese espíritu maligno las sigue acechando. Seiko les ordena a Momo y Bamora que se encierran en su habitación después de las 10 de la noche para que la mujer de la boca corada no las encuentre. Momo piensa que es pan comido, pero el yokai se aprovecha de sus sentimientos hacia Okarun para hacerla salir del cuarto. ¡Además, después de clases, Okarun y sus amigos se encuentran con unos alienígenas desconcidos!

No volume 10 de Dandadan, temos as consequências da “aventura” que Momo e Bamora que pegaram um atalho para chegar a escola e acabaram se deparando com uma maldição/espirito da Mulher da Boca Cortada. Mesmo resolvendo a situação (conforme visto no volume 9), Momo descobre que a maneira que ela lidou com a situação tem uma “brecha”, a qual ela ira lidar nesse volume.

Assim, Momo e Bamora precisam ficar trancadas no quarto, sem acesso a espelhos, janelas e afins, das 22h às 5h, para poderem se salvar. Porém, a Mulher da Boca Cortada vai fazer de tudo para manipular Momo a sair do quarto.

Após a resolução desse problema, acompanhamos as interações dos protagonistas na escola, tendo que se reunir de maneira sorrateira para falar sobre as bolas do Okarun, assim como “driblar” os olhares e fofocas dos outros alunos da escola. Inclusive, até a representante de turma do Okarun está brava com Momo, Jiji e Aira entrando a todo momento na sala de aula para ver o Okarun.

No que tange a inserção da Bamora na trama, foi algo bem natural e plausível. Ela está acompanhando os protagonistas na escola como aluna de intercambio, enquanto aprende o idioma humano (japonês) para se comunicar com o grupo.

Apesar do mangá já ser dinâmico, do meio para o final da trama, um outro arco se inicia, envolvendo novos inimigos para o grupo e cenas incríveis de ação são trabalhadas. O grupo está dividido e sofrem ataques de inimigos desconhecidos ao mesmo momento. Inimigos esses, que trazem muita dificuldade aos protagonistas.

Ademais, estou curioso para entender mais sobre esses inimigos e a relação deles com os acontecimentos anteriores, assim como o objetivo deles com o grupo.

PERIOD. THIS VOLUME WAS CHEFS KISS. I love the gang dynamics so much. The whole alien invasion though…. Not cool man. And vamola is the main reason 😭😭😭😭. Also okaruns genutals cannot take a break😭😭😭 Why is everyone gunning for them💀💀💀. I can’t believe jiji and aira almost died too😭😭.
Momo though. She is so badass. I LOVE HER SO MUCH. MY NEW FAV FMC FR. She is gonna get so powerful.
Also please tell me the serpoians maybe get behind the gangs side. I hate them but like maybe redemption arc….?

In the tenth volume of Dandadan, the team finds themselves in a dire situation after a new demon begins haunting Momo and Vamola. This is a pretty great volume, with a GREAT standout chapter where the demon attempts to lure Momo out of her room by using the voice of her lover, a moment that is both excellent and sad. Also fuck you demon.

The rest of the volume is just as intense, with all our heroes getting blasted and beaten by alien creatures. The stakes are high, leading to an intense final confrontation where Momo is forced to team up with a very unexpected ally.

Overall, this volume earns a 4 out of 5 for its blend of humor, horror, and high-octane action.

4/5 After a slower volume in 9 shit goes nuts in volume 10. A new type of alien has shown up out of no where and just starts beating the ever loving crap out of our team. A very shonen esque volume where everyone is pitted up against different enemies. Pretty exciting volume with some excellent art and crazy fights.

Vamola is put in the same class as Okarun, and she's an instant hit with the other classmates. We find out the Slit Face Woman(ugly yokai) isn't actually defeated, and has now cursed Momo.
Some strong ass aliens show up and basically one-shot the crew. Plot twist, Vamola brought them here.

The dynamic between Okarun and MoMo is very cute, but it's been ten volumes already; just say you like each other, so we can see the plot development. And yes, I do know it’s a Shonen Manga, but I’d actually like to see what happens when these characters try to date each other.

alien girl is really fun and i enjoy her. i enjoy the relationship building with her and momo (even tho it is SLOW) but the real star are the fucking spirits because HOLY SHIT these might be the scariest of them all. reading this shit at night in the dark??? i actually go scared. like we have this stupid ball recovery arc with stupid gags and then we get some of the most haunting art - I LOVE IT

This series never fails to deliver! Over and over again I keep wondering how they can keep up the momentum and the insanity and yet they do. I absolutely love watching the heroes grow and develop as well as the story that they are traveling through. I wonder if some of this is a metaphor for puberty? Lol

Aliens!

This was a great installment. There was a lot happening, but it felt well put together, coherent unlike the previous volume, which was choppy in my opinion. This flowed and delivered on the usual Dandadan action and story telling. I hope the next volume keeps the momentum going!
