The Holy Spirit: God’s Presence and Power at Work in Us

Rate this book
See the Holy Spirit at work in the world.

The Holy Spirit is God's active presence and power at work in the world and in our lives. Through the Spirit, we are transformed, led, empowered, and guided in our faith journey. Jesus promised his followers that the Spirit would come alongside them as comforter and counselor, empowering them to transform the world.

In The Holy Spirit, Adam Hamilton explores what Scripture teaches about God's Spirit—from the Hebrew Bible through Jesus' promises in the Gospels, the powerful Pentecost experience in Acts, and the rich teachings found in the New Testament letters. This accessible study helps believers understand and experience the Holy Spirit's presence and power in their daily walk with Christ.

Perfect for small groups and individual study, this resource focuses on The Holy Spirit as revealed in the Gospels, Acts, and the Epistles. With the purchase of the book, you will also receive access to complimentary leader helps and video content. Each video session is approximately 5 minutes in length.

Once again, Adam Hamilton is able to explain to believers what our religion says about The Holy Spirit. He begins with the Old Testament scriptures, details what the gospels say, next how John explains it in Luke and Acts, and ends with the letters of Paul and the fruits of the spirit. This is a serious study that requires a rereading of the Bible passages as the book is read. OUR HOLY SPIRIT WANTS US TO call on IT; Hamilton describes how this works and will help the reader to become more comfortable in doing so.

Adam Hamilton Makes the Holy Spirit Relational

I really liked the way that Adam talked about his relationship with the Holy Spirit and the way that they have become almost one. This story helps us realize how important the Holy Spirit is in our lives.

This is an easy read and not long. No matter your age, I think you will find this opening your heart and mind.

Enjoy!

Excellent Bible study. Really improved my understanding of the Holy Spirit. Our group enjoyed this study. Book purchase includes video lesson and Leader Guide which is nice. Hope this isn’t Adam Hamilton’s last book now that he’s running for political office. We love his studies.

Adam Hamilton does such a good job of making things understandable. I have used his work many times in my Sunday School Class and he always excels.
