Falling For A Wolf #1

Falling For A Wolf: Part 1

Rate this book
Christina 'Chrissy" Monet aspired for something more than the life of a simple blog columnist. Her wishes come true when an old wooded property comes up for sale, and she pours her life-savings into the fixer-upper. The property comes with the added bonus of a handsome neighbor by the name of Adam Smith, but sparks fizzle rather than sizzle when she realizes he owns half the property she hoped to have. They part ways with biting remarks on her part, but she finds her carpentry skills aren't up to the task and she's forced into a relationship with the mysterious Smith. Strange happenings occur and she's left wondering whether Smith has more up his sleeve than muscle.

Falling For A Wolf #1 is the first book in the FALLING FOR THE WOLF series.

I want to love this book because I loved this first book, but even knowing that it was a novella with a cliffhanger I dived into this great alpha male shifter book. I could picture it and fell in love with the characters within just a few pages. I definitely want more and wish the box set was offered on Amazon.

This book is terrible...the writing is very highschoolish and there's several things I don't like about it. "Then this happened, then that happened, etc etc"

- Butt-face....seriously. Also fat shaming the person being called Butt-face, again highschoolish.
- Too many details that aren't needed.
- You buy a house without even LOOKING at it?! WHO DOES THIS.
- Everyone knows your name in the new town you live in...uh yeah that doesn't happen.
- You don't even check if the place that is in the middle of no where has an internet connection - you know the thing you need to do your job?! It's the entire reason you wanted to move in the first place, so you could tele-conference in. But nope let's not check that.
- You get a weird vibe from the neighbor but you still agree to cook him food in exchange for him doing repairs on your house...

The heroin of this story comes off as childish and dumb. I will not be continuing this series at all.

I liked this book and it’s about Christina Monet who is a blogger or columnist in the city and thinking of moving and she’s not a fan of her job and is looking for somewhere so she buys a house when she used to go with her parents when she was a child and still has good memories about it and she meets some of the people in the area. Christina meets Adam who owns part of the her land since it has two parcels and something is going on and Christina wants to find out and Adam has a secret which Christina finds out about like he is a wolf and Adam’s opens up to Christina about his past and family and what happened to him and I like that they get along and Christina meets some of the town folk and animals nicking her food and Adam is going to help Christina with her repairs on the house and I like that this was a quick paranormal read

Disappointed

OK so I got this on amazon and thought I was buying a book but it turns out its only the beginning to a book. Its is interesting with all the different turns. This could be a great story and has the start to what could be a very exciting love story but like I mentioned its just the start to something. There isn't a cliffhanger its like you ran out of paper.......... Very disappointed and if you don't plan on buying what ever is available ahead of time I wouldn't buy this book or should I say intro....

Though the female lead was fun, there really was no plot to this story as much as I wanted it to be. The lead guy was okay but not someone I would be remotely interested in. His dialogue was flat, though sometimes humorous.

My main issue was the lack of a plot. This is more like a serial than a stand alone, but unfortunately, it did not end on a cliffhanger that makes you want...no need...to get the next one. I will try one or two more books by this author to see if it changes up for me.

I downloaded Falling For a Wolf as a free 60-pg novella from Amazon. This was the first installment in a serial, so it's not the complete story. I usually avoid these, but it was well-written and I liked the characters-- will I continue? Nope, I try to avoid installments, but for readers who enjoy these parceled-out reads, this is top quality.

Great Start!

I couldn't help but smile at Christina's personality all the way through this first boom, she tends to always have something sassy to say and then Adam always smiling at her like he is amused makes me giggle like a school girl. I can't wait to read the second book in this series.

what do you do when you want to telecommute to work? you buy the cabin you visited as a child, fight with an ornery squirrel, and meet your neighbor who is a were wolf by bite, not birth. And this is just the first 24 hrs. Add in super wealthy, pushy neighbors to boot.

Sweet Read

This was an easy, cozy romance with lots of cute and funny conversations. A very simplistic read and a little too short. It is a clean romance and fine for all ages to read and enjoy.

It has its moments

I’m giving this two stars, because it has its moments but overall it’s a little too unrealistic for my taste. It is worth the read, and it’s not too long so you can definitely tell you like it or not right away.

I ready don't like shifter books but...

This was so great!!! I loved every minute of it and can't wait to read the next installment. I just loved their interaction, her smart mouth, the setting, everything. Great start to a series Mac Flynn. I'll be following this one.

Good premise, should have used spellcheck.

Lots and lots of spelling and grammatical errors. Didn't enjoy the lack of plot. Good character development, but hard to read if lack of editing bothers you.

I liked the plot as well as the love interest, but this being a cliff hanger left me wanting for more! Classic mistake also (17th century is in fact the 16 hundreds) makes his mother who died in 1830 well over a hundred years old. Shame that there was no connection as such other than a kiss..

Short but cute

It was short, it was cute, it wasn't really a romance, IMO, because it ended before any of that really came into play.

Werewolf shifter romance

It was different reading but I still enjoyed it but it was too short then stopped in the middle of the story just to finish up in another book.

Disappointed

I don't like short stories. There wasn't mentioned that this is only a short story. That is why I gave only 2 stars.

The interaction between Adam and Chrissy is hilarious at times.
Seems they both have issues to solve in their lives and could help solve them together

Chrissy and Adam.

Good story—or at least the start of one. This book is in dire need of editing. Plenty of meat to start of series once a thorough editing has taken place.

First of a series of a six, this is a nice story and finishes in a suitable way — no annoying cliffhanger at the end. Shocking spelling errors though.

Read as part of our #HateReads theme in bookclub. The author tried to just jump into the plot, and while I appreciated the effort, it was insufficient. Needed a lot more editing.
