Star Trek: Voyager—Homecoming #4

Rate this book
Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Captain Janeway and the Voyager crew agree to ally with a collection of Borg deep in fluidic space, and Seven plunges into the collective. They may be Borg, but there’s something…strange about them. Something alluring. Especially when it comes to a particularly individualistic member, Nine. Together, Nine and Seven might be able to build a deflector and help their crew members escape back to normal space—but that’s assuming they stay hidden from Species 8472 bent on their elimination.

Star Trek: Voyager — Homecoming #4
Susan Bridges • Tilly Bridges • Art by Angle Hernandez

One of the strongest issues in one of the most consistently thrilling Star Trek comics on the shelves. This series just keeps leveling up.

Homecoming #4 throws the Voyager crew into their most precarious position yet—caught between the impossible and the unthinkable. The creative team delivers an issue that’s equal parts tension, wonder, and character‑driven drama, proving once again that this series understands the heart of Voyager while boldly expanding its mythology.

The alliance with a faction of Borg in fluidic space is the kind of narrative swing that could easily collapse under its own ambition, but the Bridges duo handles it with confidence and clarity. Hernandez’s art brings the surreal, shifting environment of fluidic space to life, while giving the Borg collective an eerie, almost hypnotic presence. It’s visually rich, atmospheric, and full of momentum.

Seven’s plunge into the collective is the emotional core of the issue—dangerous, intimate, and unexpectedly compelling. The introduction of Nine adds a fascinating dynamic, hinting at individuality within the collective in ways that feel fresh without betraying Trek canon. Their uneasy partnership to build a deflector and save the crew gives the story both urgency and heart.

Meanwhile, Species 8472 looms like a cosmic nightmare, raising the stakes with every page. The pacing is tight, the tension relentless, and the question of whether Voyager will ever make it home feels sharper than ever.

This issue fires on all cylinders—character, lore, action, and emotional depth. A standout chapter in a series that refuses to slow down.

More, please. Always more.

Such a love letter to Star Trek:Voyager fans. Really love how the writer's have redone the 'Honecoming final episode of the show into something with such an excitment filled twist and more of the dreaded Species 8472.

great series

I feel like this is the story that should’ve been the last episode of Voyager. Make sure to read the series.
