Bubbly Duet #1

Pops of Violet: Part One

Rate this book
Everyone makes mistakes. But have most people made a choice that resulted in an almost fatal ending for the person they love the most?

I did.Years ago, I withheld information from my mom that almost got her killed. She was taken, and every bruise on her body was my fault.

My mistake made my mama wilt, and the bubbly personality everyone loved about me began to fade.

One pop at a time, my bubbles ceased to exist. In that slow disintegration, self-hatred and anxiety filled the emptiness.

I vowed never to hurt another person again and cut myself off from connection and care. Isolation is better than heartache.

Until someone makes me realize that my detachment is causing pain too.

The Wilted Duet world continues with Violet’s story. This duet can be read as a standalone, but if you want to avoid spoilers, reading The Wilted Duet before The Bubbly Duet is recommended. You asked for more spice, and Violet is ready to deliver! Angst, heat, groveling, betrayal, trauma, high emotions, and revenge await. Dive between Violet’s…pages…and fall in love and maybe a little hate.

This was such a compelling, character-driven book!
The real strength of the story lies in the characters. Their struggles, emotions, and the way their relationships evolve.
It’s much more focused on the people than on heavy plot mechanics, and honestly, that worked well for me.
The storyline takes a bit of a backseat at times, but it serves mainly as a framework to dive deeper into the emotional journey of the characters.
What truly kept me hooked was how deeply we get to connect with them: their mistakes, insecurities, growth, and vulnerability. Even when they mess up, you understand them. They feel raw, flawed, and incredibly human.
That cliffhanger was brutal, I need the next book now!

This was an emotional journey, exploring guilt, mental struggles, insecurities anxiety and healing. It also navigates a new poly dynamic between 2 couples, with a lot of baggage and miscommunication.
The characters are raw, flawed and hopelessly besotted with each other, even if they can't admit it all yet.
Violet annoyed me at times, as she whiplashed between jealousy and insecurity, but the need to have everyone love and want her. She is still very vulnerable and continues to shut herself away and run away as her form of coping.
I enjoyed the dynamics between Nate, Ellis and Jamie the most, and the cliffhanger ending was dramatic.

I absolutely adored the beginning of Violet’s story. Utterly heartbreaking to fully understand the impact her past mistakes have had on her life. She’s riddled with guilt and has completely shut herself off from any amount of happiness. The emotional upheaval that she experiences as she starts to break down her walls were devastating and so well-written. The actions of the MMCs were also equally emotional - be it masking hurt with anger or anxiety with OTT protectiveness. Y.V. always provides expert representations of the human experience and realistic responses to devastating circumstances. All the emotions, per usual, and of course, a cliffhanger that has my heart in tatters and desperate for Part Two!

Wowzers, that cliffhanger hurt!!

Set seven years after Wilted Duet, focusing on Blue’s daughter, Violet, and the trauma she carries from the events of those books. You don’t need to read the first duet to follow along, but it adds great context!

This is such an emotional book—the entire thing is a rollercoaster ride. I loved how fully committed Jamie is; Violet truly means everything to him. It was so much fun when Ellis and Nate turned up to expand the dynamic, though it’s a shame their return wasn’t 100% honest. But hey, that’s why the cliffhanger stung so much—they were right on the pinnacle of something earth-shatteringly awesome!

Violet is absolutely riddled with guilt over how her actions impacted Blue (her pseudo-mother from the Wilted Duet). It is utterly heartbreaking how she shut herself off from everyone and keeps running rather than facing her feelings. The voices in her head twisting her view of things were totally relatable and very well written.
Now that her walls are finally starting to come down thanks to Jamie and her friend Cassidy, it’s thrown her into total emotional turmoil. The return of Ellis and Nate into her life added even more to the mix, however not entirely in a bad way. It’s a case of two steps forward, one step back, as she works through her feelings and reclaims her old self.

Jamie is such a sweetheart with a dominant side in the mix, which makes him absolutely scrummy. He’s been totally invested in Violet for years; he just had to wait for her to fully let him in and drop her walls.

Ellis is the flirtatious brat whose mouth runs away with him; he wears his heart on his sleeve while battling his own anxiety, especially around big feelings.

Nate’s steadfast nature is the glue, I think, that will hold them together. He is definitely the dom (mostly with Ellis for now), and I’m curious to see how his role with Jamie pans out in the next book.

Watching Violet navigate her internal battles was heart-wrenching, and seeing her reclaim her 'bubbles' was a beautiful highlight. The spice is next-level—the individual and group scenes are not only incredibly hot but also filled with a deep emotional weight that makes every moment count.

Expect lots of guilt, strong emotions, and longing. It's a journey worth going through, and I’m just glad I don’t have to wait too long for the next book!

Book two is going to be interesting—I know there’s going to be grovelling, and lots of it!

“I’m not perfect, but maybe I can accept that he believes I’m perfect for him.” 🫧

🫧♡🫧---ARC Review---♡🫧♡

This book was a hauntingly beautiful, emotionally relentless experience. From start to finish, it radiated grief, love, heartbreak, and longing in a way that felt almost tangible. The pain wasn’t just described; it pulsed through every chapter.

“I’ll bend over backwards while burning the f*cking world down for her.” 🫧

Even without reading The Wilted Duet, I never felt lost. The brief glimpses into Blue’s story were strategically placed and gave just enough context to understand Violet’s reactions and emotional state. It was clear that Y.V. trusted readers to piece things together without spoon-feeding information, and that choice made the reading experience feel immersive rather than overwhelming.

🫧 “I lie to myself because it’s easy. Because I don’t trust myself. Because most of the time I don’t even love myself.”

What stood out most was the raw, unfiltered portrayal of trauma. The characters’ responses to grief and heartbreak felt deeply realistic: messy, irrational at times, and painfully human. No one reacted perfectly, and that authenticity made everything hit harder. My heart genuinely hurt for every member of the group, even the one I felt caused the most damage. In a way, that character’s actions served as a sobering reminder of what can happen when emotions are left unchecked.

“I’ll drive her anywhere in complete silence as long as she wants to be with me.” 🫧

Violet was a standout for me. Even in her darkest moments, her strength and selflessness were undeniable. She continuously put herself in uncomfortable situations for the sake of the people she loved, hoping to ease even a fraction of their pain. Watching her persevere through everything thrown at her made her incredibly admirable.

🫧 “You’re my love and my life, Violet. Of course I’ve thought about keeping you safe, happy, and healthy. If they aren’t on board, I won’t be throwing any buoys.”

As for the guys…every single one made at least one frustrating choice. Nate and Ellis, especially, have some serious ground to make up in part two. Jamie, though? Jamie was everything. Patient, protective, kind…even when Violet pushed him away. He owned his mistakes without deflection and consistently prioritized her well-being. He set the bar high.

“And if she second-guesses me, I’ll prove my love again and again until the day I die.” 🫧

And that ending. I had to reread it because I genuinely thought I misunderstood what happened. The shock was immediate and brutal. The final chapters felt like a punch to the chest, leaving me emotionally wrecked and desperate to see how this story continues. Part two cannot come fast enough.

Ok

I don't think I've ever read a more frustratingly, self centered, whiny FMC in my years of reading, ever. At first I thought that maybe it was just me? Going thru a book slump, going & rereading my faves & saw that this was just released & was so excited by the blurb..

It was a struggled getting past chapter 3 with this chick. Her vapid inner monologue (girl is 26, I think? She comes off as 19) the way she treats her fuq buddy of 5 YEARS!!!!! Seriously, 5 years & he's PERFECT, like eye rolling book boyfriend no way is he for real perfect & he has to chase HER to the coffee shop to get HER to talk to HIM because she's a vapid b'tch & she's getting pissy at HIM! because of a nickname!

I'm sorry. Her so called 7 years ago traumatic reason isn't a big enough excuse to still be treating this man the way that she does. I don't care what her anxiety tells her in her mind. She's a fuqing adult with adult friends, an adult Mom and 4 adult father's all with moral compasses (plus all those therapists she keeps talking about) that could easily fill her in if she wasn't so busy avoiding everything in life by running around taking photos by herself or whatever she supposedly does to make money..

Then we meet Ellis & Nate.
Just when you start to wonder well maybe this is where the FMC will start getting better, at some point I'll start to actually feel SOMETHING for her, we find out that 7 years ago she ghosted Ellis & Nate. Like they were going to get married & live happily ever after & she disappeared, blocked them on everything & ghosted them!...
Ma'am, are you kidding me right now? I can't.
Her track record is 3 for 3. She's treated 3 guys like total crap 3 for 3.
Girlfriend is still going home asking Mom for advice because she's a whiny baby that still blames herself for whatever happened in the previous book.. am I upset that she wants advice? No. Im upset that she NEEDS it. 1 of that last lines of the cliffhanger is she needs or wants her Mom& im like girl, grow the fuq up.

That's been her entire problem the past 7 years, she's not moved on & instead used her trauma to hurt others & run away & obviously ignore her therapists, ignore her Mom's words & everything else. Putting herself in dangerous situations (near the end) making everyone worry for her & for what?

Won't be reading bk 2..

Honestly, there is just something about a darker, angsty why choose that is told in duet format. We get all of the emotion, the guilt, the heart break so that we can set everything up for Part 2. This duet is related to Larson’s Wilted Duet, but you don’t have to have read that to be yanked into this story by these characters and the raw emotion that the emit. I hadn’t read the Wilted Duet, and I never felt that I was missing anything while reading this. This book really just hits so hard in the feels, and it felt like it exposed a hurt that was raw and emotional. The way that the characters were going through their own trauma really showed their depth. These are the books that really touch you and have you wanting part 2. The cliffhanger at the end was really just the cherry on top.

The four main characters are what make this book absolutely worth reading. Violet is dealing with the trauma and guilt of what she did in her past and it has changed her deep inside. She has lost her “bubbles” and refuses to let people in, even Jamie, her on and off “booty call”. But Jaime wants more. He wants her and would give her the world if she let him. I adored Jaime. He was the perfect mix of dominant and a man that would give anything to make his woman happy. Ellis and Nate are something else and I can’t wait to see how they evolve in the second part. They have their own history and agenda, one that will have you slightly questioning them. But I know and have faith that book 2 will give me everything that I am begging for by the end of this book.

This book is definitely one that you need to make sure you are in the right place to read. It has love, it has spice, but it also has hurt and pain. It is a story that will have you exploring the emotions that these characters are feeling and get invested in how everything turns out for them. I can’t wait to see how everything will shake out when we get book 2. This is one of those books that I would recommend to anyone that is looking for more to the characters in their books.

~This is definitely one of the “calmer” books Y.V. has written — and if you’ve read her before, you know that still means it starts dark… and stays dark.
~Violet, the daughter of Blue from Petals of Blue, is battling intense PTSD from everything that happened to her mother. She’s trying to survive it, process it, and somehow figure out who she is outside of the trauma. Watching how one mistake from her past shaped her entire life was heartbreaking. Seeing her slowly isolate herself and push everyone away hurt more than I expected.
~Now let’s talk about the MEN.
Jamie? Completely, hopelessly in love with Violet — and you can feel it in every interaction. Then you have Nate and Ellis, who share a complicated past with her and are trying to figure out how they fit into her present. And just when I thought I had the dynamic figured out… boom. The three men get together before Violet even realizes what’s happening. I did not see that coming — but I was not mad about it at all. 😏
~That being said… Violet tested my patience. Her emotional insecurity caused some serious whiplash. She would say one thing, then immediately do the opposite, and there were definitely moments where I caught myself rolling my eyes. I understand she’s traumatized, but whew — it was a lot.
~I’ll absolutely be reading Part 2 because I need to see where this goes. I’m just hoping Violet shows some growth and maybe gains a little more emotional maturity. Honestly, maybe Blue needs to step in and talk some sense into her.

Not all thoughts are facts.

What a powerful and moving story!

This is a why-choose romance with delightful MM moments and the first book in a duet.

If you read the first duet—the story about Blue—you’ll remember that cheerful young woman who was raised by her cousin as if she were her own daughter.
It was impossible not to admire them and the beautiful relationship they shared. It was also impossible not to feel a pang of sadness for everything they went through.

And the hardships of the past still haunt our beautiful Violet.

Some pain isn’t visible, but that doesn’t stop it from consuming us from the inside and paralyzing us on the outside—making it impossible to truly live, only to survive.

Violet hasn’t let go of the past yet. But her family and friends refuse to let her fall. Anyone who knows her understands how phenomenal she can be, even if she doesn’t see it herself.

That’s how she ends up involved with an incredible tattoo artist who knows exactly what he wants, even if he’s still figuring out how to get it. He’s a man full of ideas and determination—and I’m definitely rooting for him!
And he won’t have to feel alone for long, because reinforcements have arrived. I truly hope they’re here to stay. They seem like wonderful people who know how to share—one of the very best qualities.

It ends on a cliffhanger that left me eager to find out what happens next!

"Your brain is going to destroy you if you let it."

I loved the anxiety rep in this. We met Violet back in Petals of Blue as Blue's cousin/adoptive daughter. While what happened to Blue didn't 'happen' to Violet, she has carried an immense amount of guilt over it and that has developed into some rather severe anxiety.

"This sucks. I suck. Anxiety sucks. S*x is good, though."

It's also taken over her life completely. Gone is the bubbly girl obsessed with excentric things, now her room is barren, she keeps a large distance between herself and everyone else.

“I’ll drive her anywhere in complete silence as long as she wants to be with me.”

Queue in Jaime. If ever there were a saint - it's him. Jaime has been in love with Violet for years, taking the crumbs of attention she gives him because he knows it's all she's capable of for the time being. Their building relationship was so sweet. The way he built her up and supported her unconditionally helped Violet get to a place where she wanted to battle the demons in her head.

“You’re my love and my life, Violet. Of course I’ve thought about keeping you safe, happy, and healthy. If they aren’t on board, I won’t be throwing any buoys.”

Then comes along Nate and Elis who Violet knew as a teenager online and started a long distance relationship with. Right as they were about to meet in person, everything went down in Petals of Blue. It's years later and Elis especially has held a bit of a grudge. This leads both Nate and Elis to make some very...stupid decisions.

I seriously hope the two of them grovel hard to both Violet and Jaime in book two. Though, if I know YV Larson, she's definitely going to make them do it.

I went into Pops of Violet Pt. 1 expecting to enjoy it… I did not expect to be this emotionally unwell about it.

This book has such a distinct vibe. It’s soft in some moments, sharp in others, and there’s this constant underlying tension that just quietly wraps around you and refuses to let go. The atmosphere? Immaculate. The emotions? Loud. The attachment I developed? Immediate and slightly concerning. The spice was spicing (Seriously 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶)
What I loved most is how everything feels intentional. The character dynamics aren’t surface-level, there’s depth, subtlety, and that delicious slow unraveling where you realise you’re way more invested than you planned to be. I found myself highlighting lines, pausing to stare at the ceiling, and then diving right back in because I needed more.
It’s the kind of story that doesn’t scream for your attention, it pulls you in gently and then suddenly you’re consumed.
And that ending? RUDE. (In the best way.)
If you love stories that lean into emotion, layered characters, and a vibe that lingers even after you close the book, this one is absolutely worth your time.
I’m seated for Part 2. Respectfully. Slightly unhinged. 💜

Y.V. Larson is one of the best authors if you're looking for emotions to run high. The prologue and text chapter that followed it had me in tears already. There's so many elements in this book that can be relatable to any reader. Anxiety comes in many different forms, and this author has shown a few of them in this book. This could also be an issue to some readers' mental state, so please read trigger warnings and remember that your mental health is important!

Oh man, I feel so bad for Violet. She's stuck in her head in a loop that won't end… not even that, but I think by the halfway point, my heart was just broken for Violet.

You can't build anything on a foundation of lies.

Ugh, the banter with Jamie… Can I get a bestie that looks like him to banter with? Please!! He's perfect… Even in his not so perfect-ness, he's amazingly perfect for Violet.

I love Nate. He's so conflicted and really just wants to be himself, but he seems scared. We must protect this man at all costs!

Ellis.. I don't think he realizes how much he and Violet have in common. He has to get out of his head as well.

Violet still carries the guilt when her mum was kidnapped. She feels it was all her fault even though her mum has forgiven her, she never saw it as being Violets fault.

She’s has an arrangement with Jamie a guy she has been with for over 5 years where he’ll only have her body and nothing more, she doesn’t do relationships. All Jamie wants is for Violet to see, that she deserves to be loved and he wants her to take a chance on them.

But Violet past cashes up to her, when Nate and Ellis come back into her life after she left them with no explanation, she now has to decide whether or not she can let her walls down and open her heart to all of them💕

Throughout the story you can see how the guilt Violet carries is affecting her, she went from being a bubbly and bright to being detached, but can the love of three men change that.

I read this book all in one day, I couldn’t put it down. The plot, the chemistry 🥵 but also how the effect a tramatising event can have especially on Violet and how she struggles to let go of that guilt and live a life she deserves full of love and happiness.

Pops Of Violet follows Violet and her struggles. You see Violet in Blue's duet by this author. You don’t have to read that duet but I do recommend it.

Violet has been struggling for years with the guilt she feels for what happened to her Mama. She isn't her bubbly self anymore. She just gets by with trying to detatch herself.

Jamie has been having a physical relationship with Violet for awhile now. He tries for more with her but she keeps pushing him away from anything more. Jamie is a tattoo artist and he is just everything. All he wants is Violet and to be there for her.

When Ellis and Nate enter, you can see that they had something in the past with her but have been scorned and they are looking for some revenge. They are in a relationship together and set their sights on Jamie.

What will happen when they all come together and when feelings may or may not get involved. Such a great start to this duet and oh my that cliffy!! I alpha read this book and this is my honest review. Can't wait for next book!

That cliffhanger was vicious. I’m not okay.

"I lie to myself because it’s easy. Because I don’t trust myself. Because most of the time I don’t even love myself."

Violet’s guilt is a living, breathing thing. It stalks her. It whispers to her. It convinces her that one mistake, one moment of silence means she deserves a lifetime of punishment. Watching her carry the belief that she almost got her mother killed? Watching her shrink herself, dull her shine, suffocate her own joy because she thinks she is the danger? It was excruciating. She doesn’t just feel guilty, she feels unworthy of love. And that destroyed me.

Her “bubbles” didn’t just fade, they popped one by one until nothing was left but anxiety and self-loathing. The isolation. The running. The constant mental spiral that twists every good thing into proof she ruins everything. It’s so raw it feels invasive. And just when Violet starts to breathe again, when her light flickers back to life.. everything implodes.

"And if she second-guesses me, I’ll prove my love again and again until the day I die."

aww Violet. 🥹
So we meet Violet in a previous duet, the Wilted Duet. which was about Blue, her mom.
here we are 7 years after the events that occurred in the Wilted Duet and Violet is still struggling.
and this is her story.
I felt for Vi. she holds a lot of blame on herself for what happened to her mom.
and the struggles she goes through in this first half...broke my heart.
but damn if I also wasn't fanning myself because Violet, Jamie, Ellis, and Nate...🥵🥵🥵
Violet may have wanted to keep everyone at a distance...but Jamie had it already set in his mind and heart that she was his person. and well Ellis and Nate....they were more looking for some sort of revenge....but things didn't go according to plan. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I enjoyed this first half of the duet...the cliffhanger has me wondering what the hell is going on though.
can't wait for book 2.

thank you Y.V. Larson for the arc. 🫶🏻

My Review

Pops of Violet: Part One by Y.V. Larson

This is the first installment in the Bubbly Duet, and I was completely invested from start to finish. The author did an amazing job bringing the story to life, giving us deep insight into the characters and their struggles while showing how they come together through everything they face.

The emotional depth in this story was incredible — it had angst, intensity, growth, and moments that truly pulled at my heart. I stayed hooked the entire time, and that cliffhanger absolutely left me in a chokehold, desperate to see what happens next in this duet.

If you love emotionally charged stories with strong character development, high stakes, and relationships that evolve through hardship, this is definitely a must-read. You won’t regret diving into this one.

Your mind can be your biggest enemy

I could not put this book down!! Violet crouch’s my heart and spoke to every similar anxiety filled fear that I also shared making her so relatable. I love her and was really rooting for her to find her happiness the whole book. The guilt and blame she still feels from the incident with her mom, as well as what happed with Ellis and Nate is heartbreaking. Jamie was everything that I could have ever wanted for her, patient, caring, loyal, and overprotective. We all need a Jamie (at least I do). I even understand how Ellis and Nate feel after everything and while I did end up like Nate, Ellis still couldn’t convince me just yet.
But just like life, everything is messy and complicated and confusing and your mind can be your biggest enemy.

I absolutely cannot wait for part two to see how they are getting to get themselves out of their mess!

Hot off the Wilted Duet, we get Violet’s story, and it does not hold back. Set seven years after Blue’s story, this duet can be read as a standalone, but the emotional beats hit much harder if you’ve read Wilted first.

The shared history between these characters is complicated, messy, and painful, making their attempt to come together feel raw and earned. There’s no easy forgiveness here. Only self-doubt, reflection, and a lot of grovelling.

Violet’s journey feels personal to me. Her self-reflection, self-discovery, and drive to improve herself felt deeply human and incredibly relatable - especially given her age and the amount of trauma she’s endured. Being in your twenties with that much baggage changes you, sometimes down to your core. Her instinct for self-preservation hit close to home.

This is an emotionally heavy, character-driven start to the duet. Full of pain, growth, and longing, and it left me eager (and a little nervous) to see how everything unfolds next.

I really loved this! I loved Violet when she was introduced in Blue’s story and I couldn’t wait to get a look into her love story. YV always writes fantastic emotional romances and this was no exception. Violet’s story is emotional, spicy, adventurous, romantic and so much more. Violet is witty, smart and learning to love with an open heart. The MMCs are all unique and have a lot of depth. The character dynamics are really well done and they’re complex and kept me in the story the whole time. The spice was spicyyyyy. This does end on a cliffy but it makes me want part 2 even more. I highly recommend this to all romance readers, it’s a great relatable read. I cried, I laughed, I couldn’t get enough.

Well I cried I laughed and I now need book two and something warm and chocolatey.

There is a little back and forth with feelings and acceptance of them being a group but it fits with this kind of story.

Even though you can read as a standalone I am going to have to go back and read the prequel duet (silly me for not reading the warning) not because I missed anything in this story but because I am curious as to what happened before.

This book promised spice and spice is what you get, whether the friends wit benefits or the intimacy from long established couples.

Please read all triggers before diving into this duet and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have

I don’t think I’ve wanted to give a book character a comforting hug more than I do with Violet. I fell in love with her spirit in the Wilted Duet and after everything Blue went through, I saw that light dim. In this book, we feel the full weight of what Violet has been going through and my heart absolutely aches for her. I really like Jamie, I like that he’s shown up for her. Nate is middle ground for me right now. I think he sees things a bit clearer now. But Ellis…..that man needs to learn how to not put his foot in his mouth. The ending, gahhhhhh, not quite as brutal as some of the other cliffys but dangit. I need book 2!

Once again Y. V. Larson has knocked it out of the park! Her exploration of the human psyche is vastly mature and thorough. From overcoming trauma, to rebuilding herself as well as navigating a new (and old) non-traditional relationship(s), Violet's journey is a feast of self discovery, heartbreak and healing. The spice is excellent! I only wish there were more. Though this duet can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading "Petals of Blue: Wilted Duet" before starting "Pops of Violet". I feel it helps flesh out Violet's story more vividly. In all, I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN from start to finish. And that cliffy.... *MOAN* Book 2 cannot come quick enough!!!!

Haunted by the past

Poor sweet Violet. Ever since Blue was taken she has lost pieces of herself. She used to be so vibrant and bubbly. I wanted to hug her and tell her it would be okay.

Jamie is the sweetest guy. The way that he loves Violet even when she hides behind her walls is absolutely beautiful.

Nate and Ellias are so much fun. They love each other so much. Ellias is most definitely a brat and I love it. Finding out their backstory was surprising. I hate the reason they approached Jamie but the heat is absolutely there.

That ending was absolutely brutal and I need part two immediately. Violet needs to heal and I know these boys can help her do it.

Violet has been hiding within herself after her (Mamma - Blue) was kidnapped and tortured over 7 yrs ago, she left relationships and social media behind. However she has had a F-buddy for over 5 yrs and he ( Jamie) wants to secure her in a committed relationship, however her ex’s Nate and Ellis happen to show up after she has another dramatic situation happen to her. Can they find a way to bridge these relationships into something more? However we are left we a spiraling cliffhanger so be prepared!

Holy monkey balls!!! That’s an epic cliffhanger because hello, “cliff”!

Violet has been avoiding commitment for a long time after the tragic event that occurred with her mom, Blue. She blames herself for this. Jamie, a tattoo artist, has been her constant companion for 5 1/2 years, and for the past 4 1/2 years, Jamie has been in love with her.

Nate and Ellis are Violet’s past, and she ghosted them. She didn’t intend to break their hearts, but it happened nonetheless. Now, they are navigating through this “relationship.” Will it work, or will there be jealousy?

Omg... I couldn't put this book down. I absolutely loved this story line. The character building was top tier. I actually enjoyed that the characters didn't hzve regular named that seem to always Accompany MMC. I was privileged to get this book as an ARC and I just loved it.

3 sexy men
1 woman who struggles with anxiety, self doubt, questions everything, self reflection. She felt like a real person. Most of us can relate to her struggles.

Pops of Violet: Part One by Y. V. Larson honestly broke my heart in the softest most painful way!
This is not a fluffy romance. It’s heavy, full of guilt, grief, and that lonely, stuck-in-your-head kind of pain.
Violet’s journey feels so real, and every tiny bit of healing feels hard-won.
It’s intense, it hurts, and it’s messy. If you love emotional, character-driven romances with complicated love and slow healing, this one is going to hit you right in the chest. 💜
