You would not believe how fast I ran to my Kindle app when I saw that this had been delivered! I love everything that I have read by Dani Rose and I’m only sad that I just recently discovered her. First off I love anything dark, pitch black, taboo… The more morally gray/black the better! I also love short stories so this was just a win-win for me overall. Seven sins was the longest, but I’m not sure if it was my favorite…Who am I kidding of course it was my favorite 🤩.I definitely loved the ins and outs of the budding dynamics and I was super excited to see the ending because who doesn’t love a morally dark cowboy… The story just happened to have a few of them ***swoon*** I do miss living on a farm… I can’t wait to see what this author brings to us next because I will devour it in a single night as well!

Stumped dreams - entertaining and a mindfuck but also she got her revenge in the best way.

I am a huge fan of my pitch-black reads, taboo, morally gray/black FMCs/MMCs, the darker the better.

I am also a fan of short stories so this book is a great addition to my Kindle. I found that Seven Sins was the longest short story out of all of those in this novella, but I think it was also my favorite. I just loved all great budding dynamics.

Book Fantasies – this was entertaining and so interesting. I could see this one being turned into a full-length novel. But as it’s a great short story that I loved.

Family Reunion – All I can honestly say is that everyone got what they deserved in the end.

Robbed Innocence – I found it to be a bit dysfunctional but oh my; the revenge, that was the TOP TIER! Amber is a bad ass and all I can say about Matt is…dang daddy.

Stumped Dreams – This was really very entertaining. But at the same time, it was an evocative mess and I loved how she got her revenge in only the best way.

Plot Twist – This one was I think the shortest one but it was so hot and super spicy.

Daddy’s Girl – This one was one that I wasn’t expecting to be so hot and yet it really got under my collar.

Seven Sins – This one I think is my favorite out of all the short stories. The revenge plot was perfect, and all I will say is I have a great deal of respect for all pig farmers out there.

I just can’t get enough of this author and I can’t wait to see what she gives us next.

Robbed Innocence: Amber soon learns to love her "daddy" in more ways than one! Such a hot steamy 5 minutes that I will never forget!

Stumped Dreams: "stumpy" WTF did I just read....OMFG. This is a short mind f3ck of a story! Little Miss Polly Pocket F3ck doll! And once she is finally rescued by her foster brothers, Dolton and Isaac, Retribution is sought and vengeance is served, "Who knew I could find solace in my stumped dreams?"

Plot Twist: Becca and half brother Kip....secret siblings to secret lovers...OH YEH!!!! Needed more to this short quirky story, but it was hot all the same....hunted through a library by Kip and his cronies only to be blindfolded and railed in all three holes....What all good girls dreams are made of!

Daddy's Girl: A sex club and A "gloryhole room"....like WTAF??!! A Daddy Kink that we never knew we wanted or needed. A "quickie", or maybe not so much a quickie for Cara and her "daddy"!!

Seven Sins: What an ending to a series of short stories. The seven sins captivates you from the beginning and I knew I was going to love Harley with her quick comebacks and sassy attitude. Even with all the trauma she suffered growing up, and living with a man who was intent on degrading her and her body whenever he could, she came out at the end as a more centred person. With the help of her harem of lovers, including the dubious Cody.....incest or no?? Ahhh take a ride on the dark side and enjoy Darker Hearts, just as I did!

This one I completely binged in one sitting! This book is a collection of short stories and each one truly gripped me by the throat. They were dark and definitely triggering but wow was I cheering characters on for the revenge they deserved to dish out. Usually I try not to pick a favorite with these but that seven sins one WAS EVERYTHING!! I loved it! The spice was just perfect. Overall without giving too much away I highly recommend this one if you love dark and taboo books!!

Book Fantasies - When she writes a fantasy romance scene and it suddenly comes true. Her brother is now becoming the MMC of her fantasies and no longer human and instead the monster mate she wrote about in her journal. This was super spicy and absolute insanity. I loved it.

Family reunion - Coming back home to where she was previously abused and finds her room is now a smex dungeon. She has to survive if she plans to get even. This one was dark and I didn't see the ending coming but I loved it.

Robbed Innocence - When 4 masked men break in they give two options and neither are good. Dad is forced to make a decision...the rest was unexpected but definitely spicy.

Stumped Dreams - Sold to be a smex worker. But nothing was as it seemed. This one definitely caught me by surprise but I loved it.

Plot Twist - This one takes place in a library and is all spice.

Daddy's Girl - When she goes into a smex club and chooses to be used she gets a surprise when the man is huge and they need to relocate as the position doesn't work. That's not the only surprise for the night....

Seven Sins - This one is a full dark and depraved story. This one shows you all the sins and just how fun they can be. I loved these men and their brutal brand of loving.

Darker Hearts is an extremely taboo erotic horror collection, which you shouldn’t start reading without checking the trigger warnings. After doing so and if you are okay with them, you will be entered inside the wicked mind of Dani Rose, when she brings us seven dark stories from the depths of her depraved mind.

My opinion of the stories was that not all of them were really horror, but dark taboo romance, which I have to admit are my absolutely quilty pleasure reads. The six first stories were short reads, but the seventh one, Seven Sins felt more like a full novel, which also was a really good read. I absolutely fell in love with all the main characters and their personalities. I have never devoured a book so fast, even when it was 350 pages long, I finished it in a bit over four hours. I want to also add that what made most of the stories even more enjoyable for me that it seemed that there were actually deeper feelings between each couple.

I will give this book five out of five stars, and I would recommend it to those that enjoy books that are extremely taboo and can handle a lot of different kinds of triggers.

It’s messy, forbidden, unhinged, and unapologetically bold.

The themes here are NOT for the faint-hearted—sibling fated mates, father–daughter horrors, twisted reunions, nightmare turns, and adopted sibling tension. Every story feels like the author looked at the “Do Not Cross” sign and sprinted through it full speed. If you’re someone who seeks out the stories everyone else whispers about, this collection will absolutely scratch that itch.

I wouldn’t recommend this to casual dark romance readers, but if you’re someone who likes your fiction pitch-black, transgressive, and unconcerned with morality… this anthology delivers exactly what it promises: no limits, no morals, no brakes.

Full send.” This collection is disturbingly addictive! Each story dives into extreme taboo, t0xic love, and horrific intimacy that will absolutely test your boundaries.

From sibling fated mates to father/daughter corruption and nightmare-fueled horror, every page had me whispering “I shouldn't be reading this…” while simultaneously flipping the pages faster. It’s dark, it’s filthy, it’s emotionally reckless... and somehow? I could NOT look away.

If you crave chaotic, morally bankrupt €rotica that throws caution to the wind… Besties, this is THAT book. Enter only if you’re built for darkness. 😏

Absolutely Amazing! Darker Hearts is a collection of stories that are each dark, taboo, and will draw you in. The stories range from sweet, to what the heck did I just read, to making you beg for more! There is magic, non-human, psycho exes, trafficking, and a why choose, among other things. I loved all of the stories but there are two that I favored. If you have triggers, definitely skip Stumped Dreams. If not, you are in for a wild ride! This story is creative, pitch black, heartbreaking, and will mess with your mind. I absolutely devoured Seven Sins! The plot, characters, and spice are perfection. This story is why choose. The guys are all obsessive, protective, and dominant as heck. I can't get enough of the twins. Their praise/degradation made me giggle everytime! I liked how Harley was written as a normal woman. She is insecure about her weight, relationships, and has anxiety. With the help of her men and Vera she was able to gain more confidence and not let her insecurities rule her. Everyone needs a bestie like Vera. There is a little something for everyone but make sure you check the warnings before each story. If you are down for anything, make the leap and embrace the darkness!

Dark Erotic , steamy and Deparved . Oh my freaking gosh . Let me just say I was not prepared, not prepared at all for the emotional journey Dani Rose just took me on . I have to be completely honest , this book really was a bit outta my comfort zone , not to mention I’m not usually an erotic / horror romance type of girl . That being said oh man I was I surprised by how much I freaking loved this collection. And the fact I could not devour it fast enough to was most definitely a plus . I would absolutely read the trigger warnings first especially if your someone who’s easily triggered: but if your feeling adventurous this is the book / collection for your . The collection does range from tales that are more horror based to others that are just sensual. No matter what if you enjoy the taboo this was excellent. Each story was unique with unhinged plots and crazy and exciting characters. There was not a story I did not enjoy in this collection.

The first short story, Book Fantasies, was my favorite. What can I say? We share very similar tastes in our dream men (although now I know that when I find said journal, I need to specify that I want my husband with said traits...). I absolutely loved this one. I would love to see this as a stand-alone book one day, but longer.

The other story that stood out was the last one. Honestly, not nearly as dark as I expected (er, except for what happens to a few of the characters... not going to name names!), but the characters were adorable and I love their dynamic.

Okay, first and foremost check your triggers! This is a TABOO collection and I’m not talking about a tinge of taboo this is VERY taboo, so if blood relations are a no go please turn back now. This book is definitely not for you! But if you enjoy erotic taboo reads then buckle up buttercup because Dani Rose has created a wild collection!
With 7 short stories and different levels of darkness there is something for every taboo reader. I couldn’t pick a favourite because each story had it own unique qualities.
All in all Dani Rose has done a great job with this collection and a must read for all those taboo baddies.

these stories were delicious 🥵🔥 I honestly would accept full length novels of all of those stories at some point. these are the definition of taboo so if you’re easily offended these aren’t for you. if you’re like me and loved “Stumpy” would you like to join a support group with me? I don’t know why body horror doesn’t phase me but it’s always one of the tropes that fascinates me in erotic horror stories.

Seven Sins was amazing. Harley and Vera are badass!! Cody, Kane, Zeke and John are all brutal beasts who are hot, dirty, depraved and loving!!! It is a story about rage, honesty, desires and laughter. Hot and brutal!!!

I don’t usually start reviews with this- however before even picking this up I recommend reading the TW’s! This is extremely taboo and dark in lots of places.

But past that I really enjoyed this. It was spicy, and full of dark and twisty shorts. If I had to choose a favourite I would definitely have to go with Stumped Dreams. It had all the twisty moments that I needed and was so good.

Overall this was a really good collection and hats off to Dani Rose!

Dani does it again with these stories. You know that you shouldn't love them but you can't help it.

I think that book fantasies was my favourite, it reminded me of Sandra Bollock in practical magic. Granted Sandra got the cop and Amelia in book fantasies gets her brother.

Out of all the stories family reunion and stumped dreams were my least favourite. I do think that normally I would lap these stories up so it could just be the mood I was in when reading them.

If you want short, spicy, taboo then this might just be worth picking up.

wow!! This book gripped me from the start. The trauma in this book had me finishing it in a couple hours. I love how Dani can write with such emotions on the page that you feel it all!!
