New You, New Life by Joe Dispenza is a short, accessible audiobook that clearly introduces (and summarizes) his core ideas about rewiring your thinking and approaching everyday life differently.
It’s especially good as a new year reset. Dr.Joe walks through four key lessons designed to help you step into a new version of yourself and break out of mental ruts or autopilot thinking. Nothing felt overwhelming, more like practical motivation that actually gets you reflecting and moving— Motivated to not move actually… Meditate! Ha.
If you’re feeling stuck, uninspired or just want a mindset refresh, this is a good listen.
Bonus: I really enjoyed hearing him actually read his own book… His other books are read by a dude with an English accent.
I’ve read a few of his books before, but they didn’t really click with me. This one did. Maybe because it was the right book, with the right ideas, at the right time.
Some of the key messages here:
Your personality creates your personal reality. (But if you’re not conscious or paying attention, it works the other way around: your personal reality ends up creating your personality.)
Three obstacles to change: the body (thoughts, emotions, feelings), environment, and time.
To change means going beyond the body, environment, and time.

One thing I really liked about this audiobook is that there’s very little filler. Just a constant flow of clear, direct ideas. Yes, there are some self-promotional moments where he sells his other programs, but you don’t really have to buy them.
That said, I’m still not fully on board with how Dispenza uses science, especially neuroscience and quantum physics, to frame his ideas. But I don’t really blame him. Everyone likes to use science to back up their beliefs.
And this isn’t just about Dispenza. People even use science to prove religion. The thing is, science keeps changing. Especially with new technology and discoveries. So using temporary truths to prove an ultimate Truth has always felt absurd to me.
Still, I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It gave me some valuable insights into myself. Easy four stars from me.
