What a lovely story with some great characters Ivy, Rosie, Lottie, Gert ,Tom , Maureen ,Red, Ollie, and sally, a fabulous tale of love and family 5 STARS a great read from Ruth Hamilton .
Brilliant! I love Ivy and the strength of the female characters. Absolutely love this author, especially the brilliant way she peppers the most dire situations with humour. Had so many laugh out loud moments!. Excellent read!
I didn't like putting the book down. I enjoyed from start to finish. I am looking forward to next book if it I'd anything like the two books but Ruth I shall be very happy. The story had substance all the way through. Lovely!
My second time reading this book, the first time being many years ago. As with every Ruth Hamilton book, I couldn't put it down. Based in my home town of Bolton, it is a sad and happy story, full of northern grit!
I enjoyed th is story it was very interesting from start to finish. All about gritty Lancashire folk the evil owner of the mill received his commupance.
