Gravity of Love

Rate this book
Swearing off men…piece of cake. Surviving a run in with her ex-fiancé’s older brother who happened to be her first love? 10 out of 10 would not recommend.

When Frankie Costas packed a bag and flew 3000 miles to her Yaya's house in Hope Falls after a devastating betrayal, she never expected to come face-to-face with her first crush/love Dr. Liam Davies—who she hadn’t seen in over a decade. After narrowly avoiding a not-so-meet-cute in the ER, she was determined to keep her distance from the brooding, sexy, totally off-limits, sibling of her ex.

Unfortunately, in Hope Falls, distance wasn’t really an option. Proximity combined with undeniable chemistry, magnetic attraction, unresolved feelings, and one meddling Yaya meant she was in real trouble.

Haunted by demons—and tired of constantly being set up by his four sisters—Liam Davies was ready to make some big changes in his life. Working 60–80 hours a week as attending physician in the ER was not conducive to a private life. A fresh start in Hope Falls was just what the doctor, in this case himself, ordered, or so he thought. That was until a feisty copper-haired, amber-eyed, yoga pant wearing blast-from-his-past crashed back into his life through his carefully constructed walls like the Kool-Aid man, unraveling secrets and stirring up deeply buried feelings.

Demons weren’t the only things that had haunted Liam for the past decade…they were joined by a sexy redheaded angel whose smile made men forget words exist.

Author’s GRAVITY OF LOVE is a friends-to-lovers, opposites attract, ex’s brother, forbidden attraction rom-com with a tattooed wounded-heart/hot doctor MMC, and a sassy jilted fiancée FMC that you can’t help but root for. Their journey to HEA is paved with an adorable rescue puppy, a very opinionated Yaya, and four matchmaking sisters. Don’t miss this heartwarming, hilarious, and spicy hot tale of true love set in a small town of quirky/loveable locals guaranteed to make you feel the Hope Falls Effect™.

Gravity of Love brings us back to Hope Falls. This is new series called Main Street and it is just as exciting as the rest of the series.
First, do you ever read a series or even a book and wish you could move there? Hope Falls is this place! Not only is the town quaint and warm, but so are all the people that live there.
Now, this story was one that I was so happy to read!
Frankie knew at a very young age that she found her person and as I read the story, it definitely seemed like Liam did the same. The problem? They were young and hadnt really lived enough to know what that meant.
Frankie (Francesca) was engaged and found that her fiance had cheated on her so she did what any woman would do, she packed her bags and left. She turned to her Yaya (grandma) to take her in while she grew her confidence back.
Liam at a young age had some disappointment in his life so when he could he joined the military and left town.
Now they find themselves both in the same town and having those same feeling. Where will this go? I will ask that you pick up the book for yourself and get the answers. I am certain you will swoon as much as I did with the thoughtfulness of Liam to Frankie and her family.

A return trip to Hope Falls! Frankie returns to live with her grandma after her ex cheats. Liam is starting a family practice office in town after working ER for many years. The family connections are extensive and loopy which add to the craziness of the story. Their HEA is a wonderful addition to this fictional town!

This book was so good! Frankie’s mother had worked for the Sterling’s since Frankie was young. She grew up with her twin brothers, Liam, and Tristan. I loved how Liam always looked out for Frankie even though he was a few years older. Frankie did have a tendency to get herself in trouble, but luckily Liam always seemed to be around to help her. It was heartbreaking when Liam’s mother died and was such an emotional time for him and Frankie. Liam found out some heartbreaking news and ended up running away and enlisting. As time went on, Frankie went to college and stayed in New York and ended up working for Tristan and getting engaged to him until Frankie found something out about Tristan that broke her heart. Frankie left and went back to California to stay with her Greek grandmother, who was a character that you couldn’t help but love. Then Frankie’s life really started changing with so many things happening with one of the biggest was her seeing Liam again. I didn’t want to put the book down as there were so many secrets that came out and I didn’t know what was going to happen next. This book made me laugh and cry. The characters were so believable and I wanted to jump in the book and be a part of what was going on! I strongly encourage you to read the book.

Another absolute fantastic read. This is growing up as friends turned sexy doctor and beautiful woman HEA with laughter and sadness and a meddling grandma (Yaya).
Doctor Liam Davies has been back in Hope Falls for about 7 years now. He used to live in Hope Falls growing up but left after his mother died.
Frankie is also back in Hope Falls staying with her Yaya. Frankie is back because she was engaged to Liam’s brother Tristan who she found a video of having sex with another woman, so she moved out of their place and moved in with Yaya. Tristan does not know Frankie found the video as she found it on accident and never confronted him about it.
One day when Frankie took Yaya to the hospital for Yaya to visit Mr. Santino, she seen Liam; she had no idea Liam was back in Hope Falls. Liam had no idea Frankie was in Hope Falls.
Liam knows Frankie is engaged to Tristan but does not know she and Tristan are no longer together. Frankie has no idea why Liam left Hope Falls and why he came back.
There are a lot of secrets and things that need to be said before Liam and Frankie, but can these two find the strength to clear the air and let it all out so they can find their HEA together?
This is a beautiful love story.

Beautifully written second chance at love story. Frankie and Liam's story will grabbed you from the very first page and it will not let you go. Their second chance at love is filled with obstacles they must overcome. It is filled with meddling people trying to help. It will make you laugh, it will make you smile and it will for sure entertain you. You don't want to miss this one. Highly recommend. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A Heartfelt, Unforgettable Romance That Shines

Gravity of Love by Melanie Shawn is an emotional, heart-tugging romance that stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page. The characters are beautifully written and the chemistry between them is both tender and electric. Melanie Shawn balances heartfelt moments with just the right amount of heat, making the love story feel both genuine and irresistible. This book delivers everything: depth, warmth, passion, and a story that pulls you in from page one. An absolute must-read!

Gravity of Love is the first novel in the Hope Falls: Main Street series by Melanie Shawn. It follows Frankie Costas and her journey back to Hope Falls. Frankie is truly something else. She is the a firecracker! There really is no other word! I loved her spirit, her strength and really everything she stands for.

Dr. Liam Davies has really had a whirlwind since he became an adult - finding a new side of himself. But leaving a part of himself behind, with the girl he's not supposed to love has left his life empty.

Can Liam and Frankie find their way back to one another and make something between themselves, using that Hope Falls Effect!

A second chance that almost didn’t happen. Frankie and Liam have known each other forever, but haven’t been in touch for a decade. Guilt, bad decisions have kept them apart. What will it take to reunite these soul mates? Will the magic of Hope Falls do it again? Pick up this page turner and enjoy. Lots of laughs, tears, and lots more feels awaits you.

Frankie fell in love with the boy of the house her mother took care of. Liam ran as fast as he could after overhearing life changing news. Now Frankie is back looking after her gram and little did she know Liam is set to be the new doctor in town...I love all things Hope Falls!!! This book was amazing. It will keep you glued to the pages and your seat!!!

A great new series. There is so much info and character development in this book that I got a real feeling that I was there right next to Liam and Frankie.

I loved the connection between Liam and Frankie, how they had a connection since early childhood and I loved how he put his heart on the sleeve and bought a house that was just want she wanted even though he thought they might never be together and she would never know about it.

This series is only going to grow and grow.

I always love going back to Hope Falls!

While I am not the biggest fan of the push/pull, I’m going to be a martyr storyline, I did love the characters. Liam is definitely a new favorite. And I’m glad they got their HEA.

And we're back!!! In Hope Falls. After a breakup Frankie visits her grandmother to find solace and peace. What she also finds is Liam, an old friend and crush. After a few detours and a bit of hilarity they manage to find themselves finally on the same page in the same town at the right time!

What a great book and can I just say that Frankie Costas is definitely one of my top heroine’s that this author has written. Really liked this entire book and I would almost say it’s a Melanie Shawn book on steroids. We have so many pop culture, tv, and movie references some from obscure movies that I remember watching back in the day. Definitely a lot going on with her ex Tristan then there’s Liam but why Davies and not Sterling. We also find out a lot of what happened in the past especially with Liam. Yaya definitely stole the show however and she was always there for comedic relief or when there was an awkward situation, she’d step up and either take credit or blame. When Frankie’s mom, her fiance and Tristan show up, it’s like Houston we have a problem. I have to say not a fan of Tristan at all and then as things start ramping up for the big event and her mother makes that horrible comment to Frankie about Liam I wanted to slap her. We also have Zion who shows up and is Frankie’s BFF and stirs up trouble which I totally loved. The big event happens and Frankie finally has her say with LIam about everything especially the sunroom at his house which totally floored her and as we’re getting towards the end of this book I have to call out page 319, it was everything. Unfortunately, something happens and everyone is hoping for the best and this has hit Liam like a freight train and I really felt for him wanting to help save the day but he can’t. I’m beyond relieved with the way everything turned out and the ending with Liam and Frankie and an assist from Yaya, definitely a movie ending. Looking forward to our next book with Poppy and AJ. Wonderful book!

When you think this author can’t outdo herself after the last book of hers you’ve read, she delivers a dynamo of a story with the start of this new series.
Frankie Costas and Liam Sterling/Davies became friends when little Frankie would follow her older brothers and the Sterling boys wherever they went.
She was a tiny force to be reckoned with.
When his mother dies, it’s Frankie who climbs a tree to his bedroom to console him. But that night he did the unthinkable, according to him, and disappeared for the next ten years.
Frankie was left heartbroken, never understanding why he disappeared from her life.
When she returns home to help her grandmother as well as get away from a breakup with none other than Liam’s brother, yes, it does get more complicated, she never expected to see the man she’s always loved.
From that moment on we find out all that happened during those ten years, why he changed his last name, and why he never stopped loving Frankie.
Can these two get a chance to finally get their HEA or will the past, family, trust and insecurities, be the end of everything they ever wanted?
At times heartbreaking as well as heartwarming, this is a story about family or lack thereof, responsibilities, misunderstandings, faith in oneself and the future, hope, and taking a chance and finding a new beginning in life and love.
A winner and a great start to more wonderful additions to the series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Gravity of Love is the first book in the new Hope Falls: Main Street series and if this first book is any indication, it's going to be a great series!

Frankie Costas recently moved from New York City where she was living with her fiancé back to Hope Falls and in with her Yaya after discovering the man she was going to spend the rest of her life with cheated on her. She's never gotten over the man that she would consider her first love and as irony would have it, they are about to be in one another's orbit again after more than a decade.

Liam Davies left Hope Falls years ago to study medicine and he's back and working in the ER at the local hospital. He's starting to feel all the years and hours he's put in at the hospital and he decides to purchase a family medical office in Hope Falls.

When Frankie and Liam run into one another, it is obvious that there are unresolved feelings on both sides, but circumstances keep them from really having the conversation they need to have. Will these two be able to have the chance they were never able to have before?

Coming back to Hope Falls is always enjoyable. All of the people we get to reunite with always adds to the tapestry of this idyllic town. I really enjoyed this and I'm looking forward to coming back to visit very soon!

Frankie fell in love when she was a child. Problem was that the one she was in love with, left without a word. After a few years of getting over her first love, she falls in love again and gets engaged. After years together, Frankie ends her engagement because her Fiancé cheated on her and runs to her Yaya's house in Hope Falls.

Liam left a long time ago to pursue the medical field and is burning out. Tired of regretting choices and working 60-80 hour weeks with next to no break, he puts in his notice and decides to start a family practice in Hope Falls, close to the family he didn't know growing up.

After years apart and life lived, Frankie and Liam meet up again and can't seem to stay out of each other's orbit. Soon, they don't want to but family and obligations pop up and keep getting in the way.

I really loved this story and loved that the end was happy. While there were a few points that I did not love to include the MMC had bad habits that I felt should have evolved into at least a trying to do better type of situation as well as felt the end seemed to cut POVs short, neither of these points made me not want to read and reread this story.

I love Hope Falls and hope to read AJ and Poppy's story soon!

After finding her fiancé(ex) was cheating on her, Frankie Costas packed her bags and went to her Yayas home in Hope Falls. She never expected to see her first crush Dr Liam Davies there after 10 long years and narrowly avoided her first meet cute. Dr Liam Davies has had some disappointments in life and is now ready to make some changes, when a blast from his past crashed into his life. He Liam was in love with Frankie and a stupid mistake led to him not seeing her 10 years. Fate has given them a second chance at their HEA, and the journey was beautiful.
This was an amazing read. A book that once started the surprises and twists will kept me hooked. Though the situations were funny, I felt for Frankie and Liam, their journey was full of obstacles. I don’t think I have come across a better hero than Liam in all the books I have read. Frankie was a firecracker and I loved her at the female lead. This book has depth, warmth and a beautiful connection between the MCs.

Hope Falls, a tight knit mountain community, never fails to provide the perfect setting for love. This story’s characters experienced a wide range of emotions from humor, lust, betrayal, hope, anguish, and mostly love. I found myself laughing one minute and close to tears the next, in the best possible way. Family connections provide both strength and uncertainty. The interconnected storylines showed different perspectives of the characters and had me cheering and booing them throughout the story. By the end, the Hope Falls Effect was working overtime and there was more than one Happily Ever After!

This is probably my tenth book by Melanie Shawn and it is by far my favorite! Gravity of Love is the PERFECT small-town ROMCOM! Smokin’ hot chemistry. Check. Witty banter. Check. A few I’ve-got-something-in-my-eye Kleenex moments. Check. Hawt sexy time. Check I’m not usually a fan of the ex’s brother trope BUT this one--YES! The characters all feel like my friends, and family, or who I wish they were. I want to move to Hope Falls! This is a sexy, funny romance that WILL have you believing in second chances. I really loved this book. There was so much drama that it kept me entertained and engaged the whole time.
It is a great story about a second chance at love for a couple of the characters. It was really well written.

I really enjoyed how the tension between everyone ends up working itself out. There are some epiphanies for some and it changes relationships with others.

Just a really good overall book. I am glad we are back in Hope Falls and can’t wait to see what is next!

Gravity of Love

This was a very complex story with lots of twists, turns and past history for both MCs. As a reader, I sometimes glossed over some important details and needed to go and reread a passage or several paragraphs. To some that could’ve been a show stopper, but once I get into the groove, I didn’t want to put it down.

This book was so good! Frankie and Liam were close growing up and she saw him as her hero. He was older and one night when things went a little too far, Liam just disappeared. No one heard from him for years. When he returns things are messy. How will they navigate their lives being pulled together and all the obstacles in the way?

I am so excited to read the latest series for Melanie Shawn.

The story of Frankie and Liam was the perfect HEA. A lost love, picking the wrong brother and finally ending up with the right one.

It was a very quick read and I can’t wait until the next one.
