The Daisies of Africa: A story of faith and transforming lives through church planting

"I enthusiastically commend The Daisies of Africa and encourage readers to learn as well as enjoy and to apply the message in their own contexts." David Devenish, Newfrontiers

The Daisies of Africa is a story about transforming communities through faith and church planting.

As you follow the journey of Steven and Heather Oliver and their family, you’ll discover how God uses ordinary people to accomplish His extraordinary purposes.

Set in a remote African village, this story is woven with human vulnerability, real-life struggles and the undeniable presence of a great and faithful God.

What began as a simple step of obedience grew into a vibrant community of believers who dared to trust God for big things. Their story is one of simple faith, blind obedience and a deep longing to make God’s love known to every person, near and far.

The Daisies of Africa by Steven Oliver is a testimony to God’s heart for the nations and a call to follow Him with courage, expectation and wholehearted trust.

"It is not difficult to recommend this remarkable book. A superb example of obedience, humility, honesty, vulnerability, and courageous faith, giving God space to demonstrate His power, faithfulness, and ability to lead and guide. I urge you to read it and be stimulated by Steve and Heather’s wonderful story."

Steven Olivers Daisies of Africa is a beautiful story of Steven and his wife Heather and the planting and growing of Dihlabeng Church amongst an overarching call to ‘remember the poor’ not as a project but as co-inheritors of the kingdom.

Throughout this book I was struck by how much faith was displayed in trusting God to confirm many prophetic words. And how many times that had shaped Steven and Heathers life’s and in turn the lives of the many God worked on through their ministry.

This book is a powerful testimony of how Christ transforms the people who form communities through church planting. I feel blessed having read this and I know this book and its testimonies will ignite greater faith in any who read this.
