He’s my ex’s silver fox dad. The cowboy of my dreams. And one drunk sext later… Now he’s my baby daddy.
I went to the rodeo for a paycheck… Not for a wild ride with the hottest cowboy in town.
But when I accidentally sext Brick Wyatt, I fall under his spell. His rough hands. Smooth voice. And mouth made for seduction.
Now my ex’s dad is tying me up… But what if I want him to tie me down?
Will two pink lines do the trick?
SEXTING THE COWBOY is a scorching standalone, age gap romance that is guaranteed to make you fall for the hottest cowboy in town. No cheating, no cliffhangers, ultra-hot HEA guaranteed!
If you're in the mood for a sizzling, age-gap romance with all the steam and drama you'd expect from a cowboy romance, Sexting the Cowboy delivers it in spades.
This standalone novel is a whirlwind of unexpected chemistry, tabo0-ish thrills, and an undeniable connection between two people who should probably stay away from each other—but can’t help themselves.
Plot Overview: The story follows Dr. Annie Pearl, who starts out just trying to earn a paycheck at the rodeo. But everything changes after a drunken, misdirected sext lands in the hands of Brick Wyatt, the silver fox cowboy and her ex's father. It’s a wild ride from there, as the two can't seem to resist each other despite the complications of their relationship. What starts as a heated, accident-prone exchange soon turns into something more—a deep and passionate bond that leaves both characters questioning everything they thought they knew about love and loyalty.
Character Chemistry: The tension between Annie and Brick is off-the-charts, and the age gap only adds an extra layer of forbidden allure. Brick is every inch the rugged cowboy, all rough hands and smooth words, while [Protagonist's Name] is feisty, fiery, and not afraid to stand her ground. Their chemistry is electric, and the push-pull dynamic between them is addictive. What starts as an accidental sext quickly evolves into something much more, and their banter is both funny and scorching hot.
Themes & Tropes: Age-Gap Romance: Brick, the “silver fox” cowboy, is a classic older-man, younger-woman dynamic that works wonderfully in this context. He’s experienced, protective, and incredibly seductive in that "I’ve been around the block" kind of way.
Forbidden Love: The fact that Brick is [Protagonist's Name]'s ex’s dad gives this relationship an edge of tabo0, which adds to the tension and excitement.
Romantic Tension: From the initial sexting accident to the slow-burn buildup, the tension between these two is palpable. You can't help but root for them even as you're cringing (in the best way) at how messy their situation becomes.
Sexy, Steamy, and Unapologetically Hot: This book delivers on the “scorching” promise in its description. The bedroom scenes are definitely not for the faint of heart—they’re intense, passionate, and often veer into the kinkier side of things. Fans of fiery romances will love the heat between Brick and Annie.
The Writing: The writing is playful, fast-paced, and never takes itself too seriously. There's an easy rhythm to the dialogue, and the steamy scenes are well-written without feeling overly graphic or gratuitous. It’s clear that the author knows how to build tension and make you feel every heated moment.
HEA (Happily Ever After): The book promises an ultra-hot HEA, and it delivers. There's a sense of resolution, even though the road to get there is bumpy, emotional, and filled with plenty of twists. The characters go through some significant growth, and by the end, their connection is undeniable.
Final Thoughts: Sexting the Cowboy is a fun, steamy read that’s perfect for fans of cowboy romance, age-gap stories, and forbidden love. The characters are lovable and flawed, and the chemistry between them is nothing short of combustible. It’s a guilty pleasure you won’t want to put down, and with an HEA guaranteed, it’s a satisfying ride from start to finish.
If you like your romances spicy, your cowboys rugged, and your plotlines deliciously messy, this book is a must-read. Just be warned: you might fall for the cowboy of your dreams and wish you could steal him away for yourself! Rating: 4.5/5.

I’ve built an entire career on the long fall and the quick recovery. I can do it again.
This rating should be taken with a pinch of salt because I did not realise 'Sexting the Cowboy' had the suprise pregnancy trope when I picked it up, even though when it looked back it is VERY obvious on the blurb.
However, after a few pages of the sample, I immediately borrowed it off KU because the writing grabbed me. I was hooked on the atmosphere that pulled me into 'Wild West Fest' and despite having a very handsome silver fox as our MC (Brick), my heart fell for Annie, our FMC, hook, line and sinker. She was relatable and just that little bit bad ass. And while there were a couple things that miffed me off at times about Brick, like when he told Annie to smile because it made her look prettier, for the most part I loved their banter, and watching her slowly be won over while he respected her boundaries.
There was some spice, but I wouldn't say it was very heavy and although it teases some kink, it isn't kinky at all. Take that however you wish.
Back to the surprise pregnancy, it's not my jam most of the time, and knocked a star off my enjoyment for me (which is why it's worth taking with a pinch of salt if you love this trope). But the lower rating was particularly because it felt so undermining that we build this heartwarming relationship and banter between these two MCs over a month and like 70% of the book and then the pregnancy is just used as third act break up fuel and a shallow pivotal turning point to finally get to the HEA. It lacked the depth and heart that the rest of the book displayed between the two, I felt more emotionally invested in the layered and carefully written reactions of her friends and even side characters (like Blaze). Brick's actions at the end felt out of character and less on-line with the character he had been shown to be up till that point.
It's obvious to me the author CAN write and must have visited a fair rodeo or two in her time and talked to a doctor or two because there was so much vivid detail in the setting and characters in this book. And I am totally open to reading more from the author, but I will take a miss on any others with the surprise pregnancy trope for now.
If you’re craving a sizzling, age-gap cowboy romance, Sexting the Cowboy by Liz Archer absolutely delivers. Annie, a doctor working at a Utah rodeo, accidentally sexts Brick — her ex’s silver-fox dad — and sparks fly fast. What starts as a mistake turns into a full-blown, forbidden fling that’s equal parts emotional and scorching hot.
The chemistry between Annie and Brick is off the charts, and the writing keeps the story moving with just the right mix of heat and heart. I loved the believable characters and how their emotional struggles added depth to all the steam.
My only small gripe? I wished for a bit more nuance and slower build in parts. Still, it’s a wild, addictive, and surprisingly heartfelt ride.
Verdict: Steamy, dramatic, and fun — 4.5 stars for a cowboy romance that ties you up and keeps you grinning.
I really enjoyed the story of Annie, who is a doctor and is working at the rodeo in Utah, and when she meets Brick, the father of her ex, she is strangely attracted to him. She accidentally text him one night, and this leads to them continuing on with this for several days before they actually meet up for a romantic tryst. The story was well written, and the characters were believable and the story flowed well. There was lots of drama and emotions that were strong in both of the main characters. There was a HEA, but it was a hard conclusion to the story, but a good one as well.

We're drawn into the lives of Annie and Brick. She's a doctor struggling to keep her practice afloat. Needing more money for her practice, she decides to work at a rodeo. Once there, she meets Brick, and they have instant chemistry and attraction. The downside is that Brick turns out to be her ex's father. There's some drama and twists, and when her ex's son finds out they're in a relationship, he freaks out. But there's nothing they can do about it, as they continue seeing each other, and it's a foregone conclusion when she discovers she's pregnant. A page-turner and a must-read.

No cheating, spice 3.5/5 not kinky but hot. No spoilers but this has some family drama, lifestyle work clashes with needs and undeniable chemistry. Her ex, his son chooses alcohol over love and responsibility he catches them and makes the Dad feel guilty, too old to be with her The rodeo ends in a week and he's the head of his family of four adult kids who all earn on the circuit traveling from state to state so even though he wants her, his son made him think he's being selfish, he's to old. Will he choose her out his family? Read to find out, well worth it. One year later epilogue and two years later bonus
Dr. Annie Pearl is just trying to pay bills at the rodeo when a drunk, wrong-number sext lands on Brick Wyatt’s phone—her ex’s smoking-hot, silver-fox daddy. One mortifying message turns into filthy texts, stolen nights, and a forbidden fire neither can extinguish. He’s all rough hands and dirty commands; she’s feisty enough to give as good as she gets. Age gap? Massive. Complications? Off the charts. Chemistry? Combustible. Accidental sext → all-out obsession in one wild, heart-pounding ride.

Annie is a doctor that her practice does not make ends meet, so she signs up to work the rodeo. She meets Brick and has an instant chemistry, the bad news is,he is her ex's dad. Brick knows exactly who she is from the beginning, but that does not deter him.
There is a lot of drama especially when his son finds out about the pair seeing each other. A lot changes when she finds out she is pregnant.

Are you CRAVING for a really HOT and SPICY romance book that might make your spine tingle and toes curl? When you answer YES then start salivating over this HOT cover and the wonderfully written Brick. I found myself smiling at times over the things Annie did which makes this romance book a 10 out of 10 and more. Of course, Brick has a lot to do with the intense HEAT in this book as well.

Annie is a doctor working at a rodeo when she accidentally sexts her ex's father, Brick. The situation takes off from there. What will happen in this steamy age gap romance when her ex still feels he has a claim on her?

Brick and Annie’s story has her working at the Rodeo and meets her ex’s dad, which she is attracted to. She accidentally texted him one night and they continue until they meet for a nighter. But he finds out that he’s her ex’s father but still pursued her. It was a good storyline with a hea.

This book has it all. There are real life themes interwoven with the romance. Annie and Brick are adults who connect despite all the events and people in their histories that argue against it. Loved this book! Liz Archer knows how to tell a story that will resonate with readers; there’s something for everyone to enjoy and ponder.
Great ride. Annie and Brick make sense even when they don't. Annie needs someone in her life that she can count on and Brick is looking to connect with someone who sees him for him. They both are so adorable together. This is one sweet ride to romance.

This was one of my favorites. His son pushed away his girl and years later she’s a doctor and fell in love with his dad. Her ex is an ass if he wanted her to begin with then he shouldn’t have treated her so poorly.
Gotta say Liz Archer did a fantastic job with this book. 10/10. I can’t even begin to say how drawn I was to this especially with Annie and Brick. Binged it all in one go. Highly recommend as would all her other books too.
Rodeo, an damaged ex, sexting his hot daddy and getting a response. The doctor on site can’t get enough of him despite the 15 year age gap. Messy, great sex, and sneaking around until it isn’t a secret 🤫
Sexting the Cowboy by Liz Archer. Forbidden Silver Foxes
Age gap, father of ex boyfriend , alcoholism, dangers of the rodeo. Family issues, be it jealousy or rivalry, or just not feeling adequate, the problems are there some simple some not so simple.
