This book was recommended to me by the author and after finding out it contained some of my fave tropes- fake dating and forced proximity- I dived right in. I really enjoyed the first half of this book. Everett needed a fake boyfriend to attend his brother’s wedding with his horrible family so Jace comes to the rescue. Jace and his shenanigans were hilarious and kept me entertained. They were my favorite thing about this book. Then it got sappy. Like reallllllly sappy. Add instalove and constant pet names and it became a bit much for me. I did finish the book but I definitely found myself skimming a lot, especially the last few chapters. The spice was good but the conversations during were odd, very polite and seemed out of place. It was all very dramatic, overly so at times.
