I dare say the ‘celestial’ part of the title will give you a hint as to where the storyline may lead. Our FMC Evangeline is tormented by visions that seem to real, so lucid. Her parents end up having her institutionalised where she makes a new best friend. Upon getting out, she works hard to make her living a a painter, to the point of having her art in a gallery. We have Lucian who is a professor, he meets Evangeline by mistake, however this meeting leads us into a whole world of nephilim’s and seraphim’s, secrets lay undiscovered, betrayals uncovered and a past that comes back to haunt.
The story starts off slow paced, building us up into their world, getting faster towards the end of the book but as the back wording has been done, this would make sense. There are small parts of spice, some violence but nothing overly aggressive for me. I would say it’s a good YA read ☺️

The plot of this book moved rather quick and there wasn’t much world building (I’m a sucker for world building). Even without world building, this was a nice read. It moved slow at first and then moved quick, a little too quick for my preferences. It ends on a cliffhanger that I’m not entirely sure how it will be resolved. Definitely makes me interested in reading the next installment of the series. This is a great book to read if you need a break from a long book.

I absolutely adored this book! Having the incredible honour of beta reading for the author ahead of its re-release was such a privilege, and I’m happy to say it didn’t disappoint.
This story gave me everything I look for in a celestial tale - an ex-nun, morally complex angels, and fallen beings who aren’t what you expect. The worldbuilding is imaginative, and refreshingly different.
Evangeline and Lucifer completely stole my heart. Their dynamic is emotional, compelling, and full of yearning, making their journey one of my favourite parts of the book. (Up until the end of the book anyway - no spoilers here though!)
The only reason this isn’t a full five stars for me is the pacing, which didn’t always feel even. Some sections - especially at the beginning - felt a little slow, while other moments felt slightly rushed, particularly when Evie begins to step into and own her new identity. I would have loved a bit more time to sit with that growth.
That said, this is a fantastic read. If you enjoy celestial fantasy with depth, romance, and twists on classic mythology, this is absolutely one to add to your TBR.

Lillie has written a beautifully intricate story that follows Lucifier and Evangeline. Evangeline is strong, fiesty and will definitely be a FMC that you'll love! The angst between these two is so hot and I can't wait to see where their relationship goes.
If you love your paranormal romances dark, filled with twists and turns - then look no further. This the first in a duet, so it does end in one hell of a cliffhanger!

I loved EVERYTHING about this book except it was a cliff hanger! I don't normally read cliff hangers but this one was absolutely a page turner and has me up reading and following to see what happens next!!!!.

This is an intriguing start to a new series, bringing a new perspective on the age-old roles the seraphims are cast in.
There are a lot of parts very well written, abounding in descriptions and metaphors, where the feelings and the inner struggles of the characters shine through beautifully.
The plot is clear, the stakes in the fight between good and evil clearly defined, but there are some inconsistencies in the way things unfold based on what the reactions of the characters should be. Maybe I'm wrong, but some dialogues feel stilted at times, or maybe a little bit disproportionate compared to the perceived guilt of the character or what is he is supposed to have done wrong, like the character is mature but has a childish reaction.
This book ends on a cliffhanger, and I do want to find out what happens next.

I wasn't too into Lucian and Evangeline. I think that's because Lucian and Evangeline were fighting what they were. There were a couple twists I didn't see coming, and the book ended on a cliffhanger, leaving me wanting more. The first part of the book was a little slow, but the pace picked up. It kept me interested throughout. I'm hoping to see a second book to see the relationship between Lucian and Evangeline grow!

I read an ARC copy of this book from Wings and Words (thank you Beth and Lillie).
Whilst it was an enjoyable read I found it a bit slow. I liked the characters and interaction between them but some of the chapters didn’t always flow. That being said I did want to find out what happened to them in the next book

This book wasvery fast paced, and in such a way, that it seemed to jump to the next thing and hope that reader made the right connection to follow.
Our FMC wasa nun who quit- and is experiencing religious guilt for wanting to be sexual. There are multiple POVs, Multiple relationships. The story is intriguing, however the execution is where I fell off.

Omg
I absolutely loved this. Saw you did a quote of the book on tiktok and you sold me on it. This book was everything and more. I love books of mythic(or so) beings. I loved everything about this, world building, character progression, the action was really good and spice was nice😉 now need to actually watch this 😜😜😜 however I need the 2nd book like now 😉😉😉😉

I also loved how Lucifer & Gabriel communicated. It was awesome. And the fire between Evie and Lucifer omggggg...... 🫶❤️ also surprisingly my love for Lucifer in this book. Was. Of the charts. Why? Lol I dunno.
Their little first date was like everything omg.
About half way through i was also shipping Kaelie & Gabriel. It makes sense 2 best friends with two celestials! Come on

Also the other line that really hit me in the feels and made my chest feel like it was caving in with grief because I felt every word was "Even though it's been twenty years since she died, the hole she left behind has never healed" - girl. I got you. I feel every.single.word of this although mine isnt regarding my mother and it isnt 20 years its 10 😭😭😮💨 - I also had to step away for a few to recoup after that 😪😭😭
Gabriel destroyed my heart a little when it came to Kaelie 🤣💔

Celestial Chaos follows the Evangeline (an ex nun) on her journey of self discovery. She meets Lucian (aka Lucifer!) and together they must team up with her found friends to defeat Michael. One little thing though Evie doesn't know Lucian's true Identity and when she does find out who he really is, can she truly trust him ever again?
The book is full of angst and wanting, and is a slow burn I am happy to wait on. I can honestly say this is the 1st book of it's kind that I have read. I have read plenty of other Angel and Devil books, but nothing like this before. Be prepared for a storyline that will hold you captive, a plot that keeps you on your toes and a cliff-hanger that will make you want to throw your kindle/book across the room.

this was a great start to the Celestial Chronicles series, it had a great overall feel to it and worked with what I was hoping for. The characters were strongly written and I felt like they belonged in the story. I enjoyed the way the story had everything that I was hoping for, it left me wanting to read more in this series and enjoyed this book a lot. Lillie Alexander writes a great story and it was written perfectly.

A new authors for me and so far I’m loving her work. This story genuinely surprised me since I never read anything like it before. Turns out I like it.
Evangeline will have to fight to save the world, a predicament she finds herself in meeting Lucifer. They have to stop the disaster that’s coming. The characters are great and the banter was at times funny but you also felt the undercurrent of attraction these two drew from each other. So excited to see where this will go but we have a cliffhanger here.

Loved the book and characters lucien fighting his attraction and evangeline strong willed and sassy. The banter between the two characters made me laugh.

This is a paranormal romance with angels and humans. The plot centers around fallen angels Lucian and Gabriel and humans Evangeline and Kaelie. The plot is great which was good because there wasn’t a lot of spice. I would call it a simmering romance more than a steamy one. There are also some very dark elements and one extremely dark chapter so mind the TW. It ends in a cliffhanger and I really want to read the next one.

Such a great story line for book one! The hidden secrets with twists and turns keep you on your toes. Evangeline has visions that mark her as “crazy” by her family. These visions turn out to be part of her true identity and what she is destined for. With her new found powers will she be strong enough to protect the ones she loves from evil. This ended on a cliff hanger that I cannot wait to continue reading in book two.

I enjoyed the plot and the whole premise of this read, and the characters were likeable for the most part.
Unfortunately, the book did feel very rushed, there was no time to become immersed, before the book switched direction at whiplash inducing speed.
I was able to enjoy the characters, but only at a surface level, as they never really developed
The book is described as a dark romance, but this is more a late onset coming-of-age.

After the mishap of reading the original release version, I have finally read the new one and I can say it is new and improved! Lillie Alexander created a world I truly enjoyed getting lost in. I loved the characters and the chemistry between them! Without spoiling too much in the plot, I will just say I’m officially invested. I can’t wait to see where this story goes in the sequel! I received an ARC of this book for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. All opinions are my own.

The plot and characters are so well written, filled with twists and turns that keep you guessing. It moved slowly at first and then picked up paced quickly.

Holy crap! What an excellent book! I am utterly speechless after reading and I will warn that it is quite the cliffhanger! I cannot wait to see what happens next. Lillie Alexander outdid herself with this book! The plot and characters are so well written and definitely for me in my feels!
