The Demon Inside

Rate this book
The shocking story of Dallas minister Walker Railey in "one of the most haunting, prominent crimes in Dallas history" (Dallas Morning News). When Walker Railey summoned police to the scene where his wife was nearly strangled to death, they had reason to suspect the minister himself, who had recently tried to commit suicide, leaving a note which read, "There's a demon inside my soul".

A pastor tries to murder his wife but she doesn't die. And yet she is so badly disabled that she cannot testify against him. This is a sad story but a bit longer than it needed to be.

Follow up to story and possible spoiler:

Doing a search to find out what happened after the book was written I found out the wife lived basically as a vegetable for 25 years and passed away in 2011.
