The galaxy has thrown everything it has at the Sirrion. Still, the enemy pushes inward, leaving only destruction in their wake.
Jack Riccoll’s experimental stealth tech was supposed to be the fleet’s edge. Instead, it’s failing. Desperate to fix it, he makes a reckless choice… on the wrong vessel.
Now, his mistakes are closing in, forcing him to confront the past he tried to escape and the family he thought he’d lost.

TwinStealth is set about 60 years after War Beyond Galaxies. Can be read independently. But, for those of you who have read the novel, prepare to find some easter eggs that will blow you away!

“Plot twists upon plot twists” - yeah, that sounds like it'd be quite an accurate description of this book, in the best possible way! This book, one of the many in the Galaxia series in writing by Ana, is most likely one that provides us insight into the lives of the main characters of actual novels in the series, like War Beyond Galaxies and the upcoming Hope Beyond Galaxies - which, I must say, is a wonderful way to expand a series without losing attention of the readers by making all the books too long or too short!
Now, when you begin to read this book, you might be all lost and honestly, that's fair because the plot seems to start in the middle of nowhere, like literally nowhere, in the middle of space, aboard a spaceship named the Eira, belonging to Ewan Riccoll and which is being attacked by an alien species called the Sirrion… Interesting stuff… Then we read about a certain scientist named Jack entering the Eira from another speedship belonging to Nebraska, only to realise a few paragraphs later that Jack is not just “someone", he's Ewan’s twin brother! (I don't think this fact would spoil the main plot of the book, hence, I'm mentioning it in this review)
But do things stop there? Nope! We proceed to see a lot of sci-fi stuff happening on board the speedship, like the engines spooling up, the ship getting ready for a faster-than-light travel and jumps through space time - each of which were amazingly portrayed and easily capable of keeping the reader hooked to the plot through the entire book. However, the best, I’d say, is when Jack reveals to his brother why the TwinStealth software did not work on the Eira, which nearly got the three of them currently aboard the speedship killed - I won't reveal what were Jack’s words to not spoil the book - you can always read the book to find it out!
Let's talk about the portraying of characters now - Despite not having an in-book and in-depth character description for any of the characters mentioned in this book, Ana has still managed to portray each of them perfectly, including themselves, their behavioral patterns, their mission, their home, foes, allies and what not!
Not to mention, she has managed to carefully explain each of the sci-fi aspects too, for example, how the characters survive such large accelerations aboard the speedship using certain advanced devices, which you'll have to discover when you read the book for yourself haha! So yeah, overall, this 30 page short story was an absolute banger, totally deserving of a 5-star rating from my end of course, and I'm sure it'd be a treat to any sci-fi reader! Combine this with the two novels of the series and you'll have read what I feel is one of the best military, sci-fi opera series out there!!
Sharp, emotional sci-fi done right. It throws you straight into the chaos. No hand holding, just raw tension and real people trying to survive. The world feels lived in and gritty. Ewan and Jack Riccoll's brotherhood, equal parts loyalty, guilt, and frustration hits as hard as a firefight. Nebraska’s dry humor keeps things grounded, and the tech (especially the TwinStealth system) makes you want to know more about the universe.
Set in the Galaxia universe, this is a bite-sized version of everything I loved in War Beyond Galaxies. It's a character-driven story about war, loyalty, and morality. I can't wait for more in this universe.
