Save Me I'm Lost

Rate this book
I take it back. I take it back. I take it all back.

Tegan used to want to escape the chaos, the anguish, the guilt, the pressure... she wanted to be loved without all of the drama. I take it back.

Morgan wants to save her from her loneliness, to be given the chance to fulfill every promise he made to her. He gave her the freedom to say the horrible things out loud so he could share her burden. He just didn’t want to see her lost in the chaos anymore. I take it back.

This wasn’t supposed to happen and now the plan has changed. Now adjustments must be made. Now she has to find him in his spiral before the snap... I take it all back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Beautifully broken and impossibly hot

This book wrecked me—and I loved every second of it. From the moment I read “I take it back. I take it all back,” I knew I was about to fall into something dark, emotional, and heartbreakingly beautiful.

Tegan and Morgan’s story is raw, passionate, and messy in all the best ways. The chemistry between them crackles off the page—equal parts tenderness and tension. You can feel every look, every touch, every moment they’re trying so hard not to fall apart… or fall deeper.

What really got me was how real it all felt. Their love isn’t perfect—it’s chaotic and consuming, but you can’t look away. The writing is poetic, emotional, and full of heat that sneaks up on you and leaves you breathless.

LJ find a balances heartbreak and heat so perfectly it hurts. The spice isn’t just there for show—it’s full of emotion, power, and release. It’s the kind of passion that makes you ache and root for them even when everything is falling apart.

By the end, I was a puddle of emotions—heart shattered, soul full, and absolutely obsessed. If you love stories that burn slow, cut deep, and leave you begging for one more chapter, this one’s a must-read.

After finishing I'm Fine, Save Me, I was a mess! LJ did such a great job on that cliffhanger, I was so distraught. But thankfully book two is here and you can finally find out what happens with our MC's and the worst antagonist troglodyte I've ever read. I usually fall for the villain but this twatwaffle just received death threats in my head.
This book is broken up into three parts, all of them full of emotions and healing, with a wonderful HEA that I couldn't have been happier to read.
This isn't usually my typical genre but LJ has a way of writing about mental health and the struggles that come along with living with them as well as managing a family full of them. I couldn't have been happier to be a part of this story's journey. I truly feel everyone should read this duet as it's about understanding, acceptance, asking for help, devotion, exploration, and unlimited love.

The first book had me hooked right from the start with its gripping storytelling, powerful mental health representation, and a perfect balance of drama, tension, and spice (not to mention that jaw-dropping cliffhanger). I couldn’t wait to dive into book two, and I’m happy to say it did not disappoint.

The characters we fell in love with continue to grow in meaningful ways, and their relationships deepen and blossom beautifully.

The spice is turned up several notches (and it is hot 🥵 ), while new POVs add fresh intensity that had me gasping and literally yelling at the page. (Sorry people of Costa who dealt with that 😅)

This book delivers on every level—passion, emotion, drama—and ties it all together with an ending that had me kicking my feet with pure joy 🥰.

An absolutely fantastic continuation to an already unforgettable series! Sparkles

✨Because I fell in love with your imagination before I even knew the color of your eyes. I watched you weave stories around others for months, even when they ignored your beautifully crafted plots and character growth. I read paragraph after paragraph of you creating an entire world that was all your own. There were deities and devastation. There were witches and whimsy. You built mountains with words and I could feel how warm the sun was when you described it.✨

Save Me, I’m Lost is the final book in The Spiral Duet, and we pick back up from the cliffhanger in book one. This was truly heartbreaking and so so beautiful. LJ Daniel’s writing is so full of real emotion and makes it so easy to identify with what the character’s go through.

We explore a lot of Morgan and Tegan in this book, and the chemistry and tension was jumping off the pages!! I was so invested in their journey, and how they navigated it with Cooper at the forefront.

This book definitely put me through a myriad of emotions, but we end with a beautiful HEA! I’m so excited for the next book where we will follow Lo! She has been such a fun character throughout the series.

🌪️ The Spiral Duet by LJ Daniel

Just… wow. LJ Daniel has a reader in me for life. These books were simply beautiful—an unforgettable blend of love, passion, sadness, and devastation. I had to take a night just to process everything before I could even begin to put my thoughts into words.

The first book left me literally hanging off the edge of a cliff. I was shattered, and very much desperate for more. So the second SMIL hit my inbox, the book was in my hands, and I didn’t stop until I reached the end. LJ Daniel has this rare ability to make you feel every heartbeat of her characters. You root for them, cry for them, and celebrate their every moment of growth. She breaks your heart just to piece it back together again—and somehow, you thank her for it. I also loved the full circle moment at the end, the picture being painted came together like a beautiful puzzle.

Tegan is absolutely inspiring. She’s strong for her family even when she shouldn’t be. So many times I put myself in her shoes thinking about how I would have just fallen apart, yet she pulls herself together somehow. Her fire and passions light something inside of you that you didn’t know was there. I found myself truly rooting for her success, and end that would be worthy of the grit she puts in.

Cooper’s mental health journey hit me in the best and hardest ways. His anxiety and spiraling thoughts were uncomfortable to read at times, but that’s exactly what made them real. His love for Tegan and their daughter is obviously what grounds him, driving him to keep going when everything around him felt impossible. Watching him battle his demons for his family was both heartbreaking and beautiful.

And then there’s Morgan. Loyal, loving, endlessly patient—he’s the kind of character who restores your faith in devotion. The bond between Morgan, Tegan, and Cooper felt so genuine and right, as if there was never meant to be one without the others. I feel like it can be difficult to represent a polyamorous relationship well with just the words of a book but again, LJ crushed it. Nothing about their relationship felt forced or unnatural. Morgan stood by them when so many would have walked away, and that quiet strength made me love him even more.

Now, let’s talk about Hannah Banana (aka Little Bit). I don’t usually like it when a child takes on a side character role this big in stories that are deep—but she worked. She was the glue holding Tegan and Cooper together when everything else was falling apart. Sassy, hilarious, and so full of heart, she added the perfect balance of light to all the heavy. Her bond with Coop, especially… be still my heart. The way she and Mr. Mo fit too? Again, perfectly executed.

And the spice? Ramped up in book two and I was here for it. It never overpowered the story, but when those scenes hit—well, is it hot in here or is it just me?! *Fan's myself*. The connection, the intensity, the emotion you feel through Tegan in these scenes… pure *chef’s kiss*.

Overall, these books together gave me everything—every emotion, every ounce of love, pain, tension, and healing I could hope for. LJ Daniel wove suspense and romance together so beautifully that it felt like every piece was needed. This story will live rent-free in my head—and heart—forever.

Living the story like you were there

LJ this series is absolutely heartbreakingly beautiful. You have a way with words that drags you into the story and you fell like you lived it.

Book one was so amazing but it left us in such a terrible state of the unknown. I wa eager to dive back in and I was not disappointed. This series will live with me forever.

Cooper and his mental health struggles are shown so well that you can feel his anguish as much as how it affects the others. He has so much growth in this book and I'm positive Morgan helped with that.

Morgan is such a rock. He's there when Cooper needs something his wife can't offer. He connects with this family so perfectly you would think he was always part of it.

Tegan has always been the rock. No one understands the extreme pressure she puts on herself to never burden anyone watching her finally share the burden was absolutely beautiful.

In a novel so adult oriented you wouldn't expect to want so much from a child character but she Hannah is absolutely just as important as the other characters. Watching her blossom was so rewarding. Her character has her struggles but she is so strong herself. Seeing the bond she has with Cooper will melt your heart. Seeing her acceptance of Morgan just shows how much he fits.

This book has fantastic spicy scenes that are so fun and unique to their relationship dynamics. However, the emotions in this story are everything.

"When I call you beautiful or gorgeous, it isn't just some pet name. It's because when I look at you I see how beautiful you are. I see how gorgeous you are. Inside, outside, up, down, and sideways."

I can't wait to see what's next from LJ. I'll never stop recommending this series. I'll also own everything LJ ever offers. You were made to be a writer. Thank you for sharing such an important story and doing so with all the mess, beauty, and spice it deserved.

The first book left me on a massive cliffhanger. I was devastated, heartbroken, absolutely wrecked. So the moment I got my hands on the second book, there was no way I could put it down.

I have to start by praising the author for the prologue. Without giving away any spoilers, it’s brilliant. The way it ties the story together, the emotion, the tension… simply perfect.

Now, let’s talk about Wayne. I have never encountered an antagonist like him before. He is completely insane, utterly vile, a true madman. But as much as I despised him, I have to admit he brought incredible twists and tension into the story. Every time the POV switched to him, I found myself both nervous and oddly thrilled.

Cooper and his mental health journey hit me deeply. His anxiety and spiraling thoughts were hard to read at times, even triggering, but that’s exactly what made his character feel so real. I understood him, I understood his love for Tegan, and I appreciated how authentically their relationship was portrayed.

And then there’s Morgan, my absolute favorite. He’s everything: loyal, loving, patient, devoted. His connection with Tegan and Cooper, and the dynamic between the three of them, felt so genuine and powerful. Their relationship was written beautifully, tender, passionate, and full of trust.

As for the spice, let’s just say it’s not what the whole story revolves around, but when it happens, oh my God. Those scenes were intense, perfectly written, and full of chemistry.

Overall, I adored this book. The author handled complex emotions, trauma, and love with such care. It’s a story worth reading, raw, emotional, and unforgettable.

Book 1 left me an emotional wreck so I thought I knew what to expect going into book 2. Oh how wrong I was. Rarely does the conclusion of a story check all the boxes to be satisfying, but Save Me, I’m Lost did just that.

LJ Daniel has written a beautiful and emotionally complex narrative that still lingers with me days after reading it. The raw, messy and very real feelings she manages to evoke in her characters - from the very much hated antagonist to the MCs - is truly a testament to her skills because I was right there crying alongside Cooper and Tegan in one minute then celebrating with them in the next.

The author’s familiarity with the heavy topics mentioned in this book resulted in a story that reflected the characters mental struggles with care, respect and truth. I would urge everyone to give this duet a chance just to gain a deeper understanding and compassion of what some people are facing daily. Not everyone’s love story is the norm or a straight road to a HEA. Some are finding those pieces of your soul whom you can’t see yourself living without and who will weather every storm you face with unwavering devotion and a quiet patience. This conclusion was absolute perfection and is easily one of my top reads for the year.

Thank you to Naughty Nook PR for my ARC of Save Me I’m Lost, Book Two in the Spiral Duet by LJ Daniel!

I remember feeling soooooo overwhelmingly wrecked when I read the first part of this duet (I’m Fine Save Me) a several months ago, so getting to read the second book is everything I needed! One of my favourite things about this book is how there are technically two stories happening at the same time, but Daniel makes it seem effortless to combine the two. Of course everything is interconnected, but if this book were just about Tegan’s dad Wayne and his antics, it would be a page turner… or if it were just about Tegan, Cooper, and Morgan figuring out what their family dynamic is, it would be a page turner, but both of these stories take place at the same time and it makes it hard to put the book down once you get started. Plus add in the mental health rep, disability rep, some kink exploration, etc., etc. and you have what this book turned out to be which is brilliant.

The Spiral Duet is a must read, and if you haven’t started it yet you now have the benefit of not suffering the cliffhanger for too long because Save Me I’m Lost is available now!!

I absolutely love how the characters and their connections continue to grow so beautifully, functioning as one unit. Tegan, the ever strong woman who has carried more weight than anyone should, is finally starting to let her walls crack, becoming more open with her emotions and herself. Cooper’s deep love for Tegan and Hannah continues to anchor and ground him, allowing him to open up more in his delicate moments. We get to see more of Morgan and his unwavering patience, understanding, and support for their situations and unconventional dynamics. And Hannah—her remarkable growth, spark, and sass tie them all even closer together. The writing is vivid, tying the emotions, capturing the raw, heartfelt struggles each character faces while highlighting the powerful connections that bind them not just to each other, but to some other closest characters. It's beautiful to see hope, trust and chance coexist, even in the most delicate situations. I received this as an ARC and grateful for it.

This final book took me on an emotional roller coaster I’ll never forget. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat, my heart racing with every twist, and the emotional weight was tough in the best possible way. But then—those happy moments? I found myself giggling out loud, sighing in relief, and falling in love with these characters all over again.

The FMC continues to be raw, strong, and so relatable. The MMCs bring the fire, the heart, and the comfort, and their relationships remain beautifully healthy and open. LJ Daniel has such a gift for balancing heartbreak and healing, darkness and joy.

This finale wrapped the story in a way that was both devastating and satisfying. It’s a rare series that stays with you long after you’ve closed the book, but this one will.

If you’re searching for a series that makes you feel everything—this is it. LJ Daniel stuck the landing, and I’m so grateful I got to experience it.

After reading Save me, Im Fine a was an absolute wreck, waiting until the moment I could read Save Me, Im Lost and I was not disappointed in the wait.

Tegan does so much for everyone and the ending the author gave her is absolutely heartwarming. Cooper is a sweetheart that deserves the escape from his own head. And Morgan brings them both some relief. while loving Teagan he respects whatever boundaries Cooper has, but not only that he treats him like they are best friends.

This book brings the drama of Wayne in full throttle, showing you what extreme thoughts go through his head. It shows you the love and acceptance people can bring allowing you to let them in. It shows depressive episodes, spicy scenes, and a world where some people can relate to the harder things, while others relate to the simpler things.

An absolutely amazing finish to the first book that doesnt leave you wondering or questioning anything that could happen after that last page.

I absolutely loved this book! LJ Daniel did an amazing job weaving suspense, emotion, and romance together, and I was completely captivated from start to finish. The story took me on an emotional rollercoaster—I was on the edge of my seat one moment, then laughing or sighing with relief the next. The twists kept my heart racing, and the balance between heartbreak and healing was executed perfectly.

The characters continue to shine—Tegan is raw, strong, and so relatable, while the MMCs bring the fire, comfort, and heart to the story. Their relationships feel healthy, open, and incredibly real. I was so impressed with how the finale wrapped everything up in a way that was both satisfying and emotionally powerful. Four stars for a story that’s gripping, heartfelt, and unforgettable—I’ll be thinking about it long after I closed the book!

I’m so happy that I got to see how this duet ends! And I am happy to tell that I loved this ending!
The ending on the first book, oh how I yelled and all most throwed my kindle out of the window… I was waiting so long for this book and I was so scared at the same time
Loved these characters so much! Tho Wayne I did not love at all, I have so many bad words to say about him, but I wont be saying them now. And Annie, yeah, I would have been happy to smack her on the face.. So didn’t love all of them but most of them
I did cry, laugh, swoon and ghasp and swoon some more, oh my my what scenes did this have
Really waiting what LJ is coming up next!
And have to say that I am so HAPPY for Cooper! I really really loved him, such a sweetie
Teagan and litte bid, so much love for both of them. And lastly Morgan, swoon swoon and swoon!

After the cliffhanger ending of the first book, I have been anxiously awaiting this book. OMG. It was so worth the wait. LJ same right out of the emotional gate with this book.

I think I was holding my breath with the aftermath of Tegan's twit waffle of a father and what he had done to Cooper. Yet, love prevails. I was so happy to see Morgan intertwined into the story more. The way that he recognized the delicate balance between Tegan and Cooper and what they shared is special was lovely. These three are great together.

Hannah is a doll. OMG, the ending with her. I could not deal. Not our little Hannah. This book is amazing. The first was great but LJ, you outdid yourself with this book. Everyone needs to read this duet.

Save Me, I'm Lost is the 2nd part to The Spiral duet series.

Book 1 ended on a cliffhanger and lord have mercy I have been waiting for this book. LJ Daniel does an amazing job at showcasing the struggles that Tegan is having while her husband is in the hospital.

We knew where this was headed... Tegan's dad is a POS.. to be quite frank.

Anyway, Morgan is there for her when she needs him most while Cooper is recovering. The dynamic of these three is different than most why choose romance novels. So be prepared to be a little uncomfortable in some spots. Please be open minded because honestly, LJ does a wonderful job of navigating these relationships.

In this second book in the duet you watch the characters grow and really learn how to depend on the other. They become a true family. Morgan is the rock that Cooper needs and helps with the mental health issues. Morgan is truly the final puzzle piece and watching him with Tegan and Hannah you realize. Hannah fully accepts Morgan into the family and as a young girl she welcomes Morgan in the best possbile ways. Tegan has always had to be the rock with Cooper's concerns however it's such a relief of the pressure that she puts on herself. To watch her share the load is so rewarding.

Thank you to LJ Daniel for the advanced copy. I very much enjoyed the read.

⭐️ 3.5/5 | 🌶️ 2/5

Thank you to Naughty Nook PR and the author for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

What really got me was how raw and real this story felt. The writing is poetic and emotional, with heat that sneaks up on you.

There were a few slower moments, but overall it was an enjoyable read that pulled me in more than I expected.

Honestly… I think I need to re-read the first book and then dive back into this one again because I feel like a second read will hit even harder.

Have you ever read a book, where you are so entwined in the story that you feel like you are living it? That you are there as a side character witnessing it all? Wishing you could hug these characters in real life? Feeling like you actually KNOW them? Tearing your hair out? Wanting to scream at the friends on the pages to be careful? To be more aware? Because you love these people within the pages and only want them to be happy?!

That is what this book did to me and I feel bereft without my friends now. 🖤

The conclusion to Teagan, Cooper, and Morgan’s story was just perfect!!! I loved seeing how they grew together in their love and trust for each other. How they all helped one another. They were patient and kind. The suspense and drama with Teagan’s sperm donor kept me on the edge of my seat. The progression of the physical side of their relationship was so hot. I just loved everything about this duet!!!

This book took me on such an emotional journey. LJ Daniel has a way of crafting stories that pull you in from the first page and refuse to let go. The suspense, the heartbreak, and the rawness of Tegan, Cooper, and Morgan’s stories kept me completely hooked.

It’s beautifully written, haunting and hopeful all at once. I loved the emotional depth of the characters and found myself rooting for them through every messy, aching moment. I’m really hoping we get to see more of Lo’s story next!

Second book of the duet! So do yourself a favor: Go break your heart, wreck yourself properly, and cry your eyes out with the first one first 😅

It's wild how this story made me feel everything: fear, heartbreak, and desire. One minute I was terrified, the next I was crying and then blushing so hard 😭🥵

A 5☆ read. If being called gorgeous and babygirl makes your knees weak, welcome to the club. This one is going to ruin you in the best way 💖

This book hits just as much as the first one. These two books really unravel real and raw emotions and real life problems that people go through, and I think that’s what I really love about these the most. Now don’t get me wrong, the spice is level 10 HOT but the story is really what keeps you going. I loved seeing her relationship grow with Cooper and seeing him really take the time to heal, and seeing his growth with Morgan being around. Absolutely loved this book!!

LJ Daniel has done it again with pulling at the heartstrings. This conclusion to Teagan, Morgan and Cooper’s story was an emotional rollercoaster, with twists and drama this book had me hooked.
For me personally it is the realism in the situations and you can’t help but connect with the characters and the mental health representation was handled beautifully and respectfully throughout the book.
For a new author LJ Daniel has delivered a story to definitely be proud of.
This duet is an emotional read , and I totally recommend it.

This book started off crazy from the beginning. I was first a bit confused by the prologue which I guess was a good thing because it got me wanting to read more. This book had a crazy hot love story as well and some suspense which made this book enjoyable to read. It was a little slow at times, but over all I did enjoy reading it! I most definitely need to read the first book of this duet because I’m super intrigued about the beginning of this story!

This was part two to I'm Fine, Save Me, and since the cliffhanger ending of that book, I've been anxiously waiting for book two! I really needed to know how it played out.

There was plenty of drama in this story, but it all ends as it should.

I really liked the three main characters and their relationship, and how mature they all are with their situation. They each have strengths and weaknesses, and they kind of all balance each other out. Even when one MMC had some doubts about himself, he was quite open about them. I liked that.

I totally plan to reread this duet one day. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.
