When NFL superstar Michael Cole throws the punch at his head coach, he doesn’t just blow up his career—he ignites a scandal that threatens to destroy everything he loves. Branded a villain by the media and exiled from the game that gave him purpose, Michael is left with nothing but regret, bruised knuckles, and a reputation in ruins.
Looking to get away for a week to catch some air with his buddies, he goes up the mountain to a cabin, only to find himself trapped by a relentless blizzard, sharing a remote cabin with Eden Rivera, his best friend’s little sister, and the girl he’s never truly forgotten. Two weeks. One bed. Dwindling supplies. And nowhere to run from the heat building between them.
With the snow piling high and old wounds resurfacing in the close quarters, Michael and Eden are forced to confront more than just their past—they must navigate the storm stirring between them. As secrets thaw, boredom grows, and sparks fly, survival means trusting each other with more than just their hearts.
But second chances come with a price, and as the outside world closes in, Michael must decide if he’s ready to fight for redemption, for forgiveness, and for the one woman who could finally make his Christmas whole.
Trapped by a blizzard, running out of options, and tangled up in a love story neither of them thought would happen again—are two weeks together enough to turn regret into redemption and desire into forever?
Snowed In With You is part of the Fumbled Hearts Romance collection. It is a series of football-based romance novels. It is not necessary to read the others in the series; however, I do recommend reading in order, as there will be spoilers.
Snowed In With You has all the ingredients I love in a contemporary romance—a fallen hero seeking redemption, forced proximity that won't let either character hide, and that delicious brother's best friend tension. Michael Cole's very public downfall and exile to a snowbound cabin with Eden Rivera, the woman he's never quite gotten over, sets up a compelling second-chance story. The chemistry between Michael and Eden works, and Del Ray captures the claustrophobic intimacy of being trapped together while old feelings resurface. When the emotional beats land, they land well. That said, the pacing stumbles in places, and a few authorial choices pulled me out of the story. The use of song lyrics as chapter epigraphs is a creative decision that carries real copyright risk—crediting the artist doesn't substitute for permission, and it's something authors should be cautious about. Despite its rough edges, there's enough heat and heart here to make it a worthwhile read for fans of sports romance and snowbound settings. Just go in with tempered expectations. A solid addition to the Fumbled Hearts collection, if not a standout.
This book actually delivers EVERY delicious thing a sports-romance fan hopes for: a fallen hero, a strong heroine, high stakes, and enough heat to make you forget there's a blizzard outside.
Michael Cole isn’t the usual brooding athlete caricature. He’s raw, bruised by his own mistakes, and painfully aware of how badly he’s messed up his life. Watching him go from public disgrace (over something that was not exactly his fault - but no spoilers here...) to emotional honesty is one of the most satisfying parts of this book. Eddie (my favorite florist of all time) is just as compelling: independent, guarded, and absolutely not the girl Michael walked away from years ago. Their chemistry doesn’t just simmer; it crackles.
Forced proximity tropes can feel predictable in the wrong hands, but here it's done perfectly. The snowed-in cabin turns into a pressure cooker of old longing, unspoken history, and real vulnerability. The pacing never drags, even though the entire story takes place in one location. Every chapter peels back another layer of their past and who they've become, and the payoff is worth every page. You won't be able to put this book down, this holiday season!
It balances spice, emotion, and character growth beautifully. The romantic tension is intense, the emotional moments land, and the redemption arc feels earned instead of handed out. And yes... this absolutely qualifies as a “read in one sitting and forget the world” kind of novel. Trust me!
So!!! If you like: second-chance romance athlete redemption arcs forced proximity / one bed Christmas romance that doesn’t feel cheesysteam with actual substance
Snowed In With You by Evie Del Rey delivers the kind of cozy chaos that romance readers delight in — two flawed souls forced into confinement by a blizzard, rediscovering what’s real: longing, regret, and second chances. The premise — a disgraced NFL star hiding from his demons, a woman he’s never stopped wanting, and a remote cabin cut off from the world — isn’t new, but Del Rey uses it with honest emotional stakes and a hush-of-winter intimacy that works.
Michael Cole’s fall from grace feels bitter and real. He isn’t a perfect hero stripped of flaws — he’s broken, defensive, weighed down with guilt and anger. That makes his redemption arc meaningful. Eden Rivera is his opposite: vulnerable but grounded, caring but cautious. When they get snowed in together for two weeks with no escape, every confession, every small kindness, and every lingering look matters.
The strength of the book comes from the tension of forced proximity. With the world outside frozen and pressuring from all sides — media, scandal, self-doubt — the cabin becomes a crucible. Love and trust don’t just grow; they’re tested. Through cold nights and dwindling supplies, what emerges isn’t instant passion, but vulnerability and restraint turning into fragile hope.
This book has my heart! Talk about an interracial relationship that resembles my own, meddling family and spanglish included!
Michael needs to clear his mind and redefine himself after some major mishaps in his NFL career, so he heads to a mountain cabin to clear his mind, only to find that Eden is already there. She is his best friend and teammate's little sister, the one that got away, and lives rent free in his heart. Eden is shocked to see Michael in the cabin, her idea of taking the time to study hits a major bump, the only guy who has been able to break her heart is here to stay, because the snow is making it impossible for them to leave.
The close proximity, their undeniable chemistry, their secret sentiments, add to their current mental state, and they will be forced to brave the isolation, forced to own up to their mistakes, learn to listen and understand, forgive and let the feelings bloom again.
But what happens when they are free from the cabin? be sure you read the end of this book... I loved it - it sounded like my mom talking to my husband!!.

Snowed In With You pulled me in right from the start. Michael and Eden have such a natural, believable chemistry that it’s impossible not to root for them. I loved the mix of tension, history, and unresolved feelings between them—being trapped together in a cabin during a blizzard only made every moment hit harder.
What stood out most to me was how both characters are trying to rebuild their lives in different ways. Michael’s struggle to make peace with his mistakes felt real, and Eden’s determination to stay focused despite everything made her easy to admire. When they finally stop running from their feelings, the payoff is so satisfying.
The banter, the heat, the emotional honesty—it all worked beautifully. This was a cozy, romantic, and heartfelt read that left me smiling all the way through. Recommend for anyone who loves forced proximity, athletes, and second-chance sparks.
I really enjoyed Snowed In With You! Michael and Eden’s second-chance romance felt believable and heartfelt, and being stuck together in the cabin during a blizzard made every interaction more intense. I loved watching them work through old feelings, grudges, and all the things they’d been holding back. Their conversations were funny, steamy, and honest, which kept me turning the pages.
A few moments of the writing felt a little clunky, and some formatting choices, like bold text in places, pulled me out of the story at times. It wasn’t a big deal, but it made me pause now and then.
Overall, it’s a warm, emotional read with characters you root for. Perfect for a cozy weekend if you love second-chance romances and slow-building chemistry.
Snowed In With You is a warm, tension-filled second-chance romance that hits all the right notes. I liked the setup right away. Michael is trying to outrun the fallout of a career-ending mistake, and Eden is trying to outrun heartbreak, and a blizzard locks them in together before either of them is ready. Their chemistry feels natural, their history gives the story real weight, and the forced proximity keeps the emotional tension high. I enjoyed the mix of regret, redemption, and slow-building heat, and the cabin setting makes every moment feel more intimate. It’s a cozy, satisfying holiday read with characters you want to see get their second chance.

Really wanted to like it, but the writing was super choppy and awkward. It pulled me out of the story time and again. it's a sports romance with your typical douche of a ML being rude left, right n center. But somehow, he's a star with a scholarship, and now his career is ending. And in steps the FL. Michael is truly unlikeable, and it hurts when I don't like a romance. Probably made it worse that I'd just finished a really good romance right before this. Also, what's with all the bold? Romance shouldn't be so frustrating :((
Great holiday romance. *Titter-titter* Imagine getting stuck in a log cabin on a mountain with your best friend's littler....the one you've been holding a candle for... It is a classic plot, but one I never get enough of. It gets better.... There is one bed, too. Michael and Eden's story put me right into the Christmas period. Both of them were lovable heroes. The execution of the story was lovely, and I love the cover. Great holiday romance. I plan to read the series!
Micheal and Eden are a great pair. Their story is fun, interesting, and riveting. They are stuck together for 2 full weeks. They are not supposed to hook up but life changes everything. I liked their steamy story.

Snowed In With You is a warm and engaging winter romance that brings together a fallen NFL star and the girl he never forgot. Trapped in a cabin with nothing but time and rising feelings, Michael and Eden face their past and discover a connection worth holding on to. A heartfelt, cozy read that blends emotion, chemistry, and the perfect touch of holiday charm.
The story has feel good narrative. Eden and Michael narate in alternative chapaters, somehow feels right for the story. In between spanish sentences add charm to the story, feels realistic. A happy ending that everyone dreams of. I wish for one extra chapter that details Eden and Michael as teenagers to get full context.
This is a sweet second chance story of Michael and Eden and their holiday weekend stucl together. A little steam, a lot of love, fun characters and a HEA make this a great story.

This was a fun read. Evie Del Rey did a good job in capturing not only the magic of the season, but the chemistry of exes who are still obviously in love with each other.
Thank you, BookSprout, and to the author for providing an arc copy.
