I loved the Tormented Omega duet so much that I was quick to search for other books by this author and this is what I found.
However, the beating and rape at 78% were unforgivable.

i like dark but this is just …..
He kidnapped, rapes her, beats her and treats her like crap and then can’t understand why she runs away. Then all his forgiven because he feeds her and takes some time off work…

Finding the Omegs
Sophie's alpha was really harsh at one point. I believe he went overboard, but it wss still a good read. I mean Sophie was very stubborn.

Aften reading:
All authors need to practice first. This was a bit too rapey and lacked a story. Almost hard to see that this is the same author as Tormented Omega.

Now that I am completely and utterly—ridiculously—lost in Tormented Omega, and while I’m waiting for the final part, I will read something else this author has written. Yay for being the first to write a review on this one!

DNF 12%. The fact that this is the same author as Tormented Omega does not compute.
This is very amateur: all show, no tell, stilted conversation laced with exposition, longing for the world beyond with all the subtly of The Little Mermaid.
I’m honestly surprised she didn’t start singing.
The writing style is off as well.
It’s a different omegaverse.
Different author, as far as I’m concerned.
It’s just not good and I am genuinely disappointed.

Good world building, rushed/violent romance
The initial world building a backdrop was great, but the vibrant/defiant/strong FLC was brutally demolished, and did all the give. The only true sex scene was punishment sex and hateful. Emotional dev was reduced to biology/bond. MMC had maybe 1% emotional growth, and 1% regret for his actions. For dark romances, i prefer a bit of character dev to see then earn the love of each other. So much potential here, that was capped off, likely for word-limit requirements.

HEA? Um… no.
I don’t normally write reviews, but this book genuinely left me baffled.
It starts by introducing what seems like a fantastic heroine. She’s an omega, but she’s fierce—loyal to her friends, willing to stand up against injustice, and completely unwilling to accept the role society expects of her. The story even hints that she’s something unique: she growls (which omegas supposedly don’t do), her teeth sharpen when she’s angry, and she’s repeatedly described as rare despite being physically the smallest.
I was excited to see where that was going.
Instead, the story systematically tears everything that made her interesting apart.
She is raped, beaten, isolated, and stripped of every ounce of independence she had. Rather than rebuilding her or giving her meaningful growth, the book frames her eventual acceptance of her abuser as “biology.” I kept reading because I assumed there would be a grovel arc. Then I kept reading because I thought maybe I’d misunderstood the plot and she’d end up with a different alpha.
Nope.
A snack, a hug, and suddenly they’re soulmates.
What made it even more frustrating was how the book rewrote the heroine’s motivations. Her resistance to being owned, abused, and controlled was ultimately reduced to “she just wanted adventure.” It completely undermined everything established in the beginning and made her seem selfish rather than principled. She even drags her friends away from what the story insists were happy matings with little regard for their safety, all for reasons that never really made sense.
I’ve read dark romance before. My issue isn’t that bad things happen to the heroine—it’s that the novel destroys everything that made her compelling and then presents that destruction as romantic character development.
Except it isn’t character development.
It’s the opposite.
This felt less like watching a heroine grow and more like watching her spirit be broken while the story insists that’s what love is supposed to look like.

If you're here after reading the Tormented Omega duet looking for something like that, you're going to be sorely disappointed. I thought we were following that structure. Kaine captures Sophie against her will, bonds her violently against her will, and rapes her frequently as punishment for disobedience. Eventually, he ends up punishing her by whipping her until she has almost passed out, then forcibly anally knotting her in order to cause pain. He then denies her any comfort, his scent, his touch, and kicks her out of his room. Sophie is injured and emotionally destroyed and completely ignored as a "lesson" and becomes passively suicidal. Surely, this is the low point of the story? Here's where the real MMC rescues Sophie and helps here heal? WRONG. Instead, in the span of about 5 pages, Sophie realizes she's doesn't want keep trying to be her own person, and she actually loves Kaine because he has now done the bare minimum of feeding, bathing her, and being sad after brutally abusing her. And then, the book is over and we get an epilogue of all the captured, raped, and forcibly bonded omegas happily watching their kids run around.

After finishing Tormented Omega, I was excited to find something else by this author. I was disappointed. I'm all for dark omegaverse but this was too dark. I understand A/O/B instincts but outright rape and abuse leaving her screaming and in pain? Nah. That was too far. Kaine says he likes her fire, but then breaks her. That's not mates.

I love it when I can become a character in h the book. Another success in keepin me reading until the book is finished. I can’t seem to put the books down that this author writes. Highly satisfied and can’t wait for more of her books to read.

It was terribly good. A wattpad type good where I was genuinely enjoying it, but its not written the best.
It also felt like multiple other books I've read mixed together with only one MMC.... Sorry I need at least 3.

i loved this shifter book. So sad the betas scared the omegas into thinking the alphas were really bad and would hurt them when all the alphas did was care for them and give them everything they ever needed.
Hadn't read a book by this author before but will definatly be reading more as i like her storylines and writing styles

I’m not sure if I would classify this as a romance. Told from the FMC’s POV only. It’s an interesting take on omegaverse with a very violent tone. Definitely check the triggers.

I hate the mmc. I hate that the fmc just forgave him raping her and beating her and then was in insta love. I get it’s a dark omegaverse, but Kaine is the worst.

Just not really well written
The book was too cliche and predictable. The spicy scenes were basic and had a steam level of 2. The character development was very limited and stereotypical. Not impressed. I didn’t make it down more because it wasn’t terrible, badly written, or full of errors. It was just boring.

Kaine finds his mate in a spitey omega named Sophie. He wins her over body and soul and shows her why she’s his.
This novel is an HEA, contains knotting and lots of alpha/omega spice. The only conflict in the book is due to insecurities that both parties have.
As with any spicy book check your content/trigger warnings.
