What's significant here is Lee's thoughtful reflection on aging and mortality. Doug, recovering from a serious auto wreck that nearly killed him, walks every day for rehab. At the park he meets and becomes friendly with an eighty-something woman, Gloria.

One day she confides her stunning background. She had been a wild child, she told Doug. At some point that became part of her happy marriage with her late husband.

Doug hasn't been able to have sex and worries about his wife Sadie going without. Gloria validates that concern. Doug starts thinking about their opening things up as Gloria had done long before, and Gloria gives him some ideas.

Lee always writes well about wives' transitions, with their husbands' approval, into gloriously uninhibited size queens. That's true here too. He adds an additional dimension by focusing on the couple's private chemistry. The part about Doug's dealing with serious injury feels real, maybe more so than in previous stories where the hotwife set up has started with an invalid husband. There are great reflections on aging and mortality here.

And Gloria's character is a delight. We don't expect these stories and insights to be coming from Granny. But it's important to remember that Granny was young once too, and we've entered an era where Granny's youth coincided with the pill, miniskirts, disco, the rebellious Sixties and the hedonistic Seventies.

An excellent story about a couple in their early fifties. Doug and Sadie.
The Doug is recovering after a serious car crash.
He escaped becoming a paraplegic, just barely. He is on canes and walking in the park for exercise
He meets a lady who does the same, in the same park.
Gloria is in her eighties.
She meets his Sadie who walks with him on occasion.
Gloria and he discuss lack of sex.
Gloria expands his horizon, and his wife's as well.
Gloria impresses upon him that as much as he missed sex, Sadie, and her struggles, misses it even worse.
The characters are warm, intelligent, and people you will like.
The sex is awesome.
The story is improbable, but the truthfulness of the premise is unmistakable.
Well written and while it looks to become a cuckold tale, it's not.
It's hotwife/stag.
The heat would be hotter if it also had the wives POV.
