HEAVEN BREAK: A romance about dying, lying and learning how to wear pants.

Rate this book
When Celeste Reynolds dies in a car crash, the last thing she expects is a seven-foot, socially inept angel with unblinking eyes—and absolutely no clothes—waiting to escort her to the afterlife.

But Celeste has never been one to follow directions. One well-aimed kick, two poked eyes, and one cosmic loophole later, she’s back on Earth and determined to stay that way.

Unfortunately, the angel isn’t giving up. Ezekiel keeps showing up (still very naked), and Celeste keeps… accidentally killing him. Again. And again.

After a year of failed retrievals and increasingly creative deaths, Ezekiel decides there’s only one way to succeed—learn how to be human.

Because bringing Celeste to Heaven might just mean understanding why she refuses to go...

Heaven Break was such a refreshing and enjoyable read. The storyline felt incredibly unique while still being easy to follow, which made it effortless to get lost in the story. The character development was strong and well-paced, and the chemistry between the two main characters was truly undeniable. You could feel it in every interaction.
This book managed to be humorous, nerve-wracking, and heartwarming all at once. Paige’s writing is beautiful and engaging, striking the perfect balance between emotional depth and lighthearted moments. Overall, Heaven Break was very well written and left me smiling long after I finished.

I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun, refreshing take on a standard contemporary romance.

Unique and Out Of This World

Paige Mohr writes another truly unique, hilarious, romantic story about a grumpy angel mmc who encounters a college student fmc when she dies, goes to heaven, and lives on to tell about it. This is their novel tale of growth, funny missteps, and true love between an unlikely pair from totally different worlds, yet become destined for a steamy, everlasting HEA.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hilarious, Heart-Wrenching Romance That Will Make You Believe in Second Chances
I devoured Heaven Break in one sitting and I'm still not over it! Paige Mohr has created something truly special—a perfect blend of laugh-out-loud comedy, swoon-worthy romance, and emotional depth that hit me right in the feels.
Celeste is hands-down one of my favorite heroines. She's fierce, stubborn, and absolutely refuses to accept her fate (literally). Watching her repeatedly "dispose of" poor Ezekiel had me cackling—this woman does NOT go quietly into that good night! But beneath all that fire is a character with real pain and vulnerability that made my heart ache.
And Ezekiel? Oh my god, EZEKIEL. A seven-foot angel with zero social skills, an alarming lack of clothing, and the most endearing determination to understand humanity? He's awkward, earnest, and completely irresistible. His journey from confused celestial being to someone who genuinely feels is beautiful and hilarious in equal measure.
The chemistry between these two is electric. What starts as cosmic enemies becomes something so much deeper—a connection that transcends life and death itself. Mohr perfectly balances the humor (trust me, you'll DIE at the creative ways Celeste keeps killing him) with genuine emotional stakes that kept me completely hooked.
This book made me laugh, swoon, and feel EVERYTHING. If you love paranormal romance with heart, humor, and characters you'll never forget, Heaven Break is an absolute must-read. I'm already desperate for more from this world!
