What happens when a man with nothing to lose gets one shot at redemption?
Anyone who knows me is aware that recently I've been venturing into the exciting realm of discovering a few authors to include in my reading collection for the upcoming year. In this journey, I've stumbled upon some real gems, a few not-so-great ones, and a handful of mixed bags... So, a friend recommended this specific author, and here I am, diving into a new world.
Nadia Reed is living the dream as a medical student, deeply immersed in her studies and her love life. She's currently engaged with Lucian Cross, known as Ghost, a 28-year-old stock trader who seems to have it all.
However, there's a dark cloud hanging over their relationship, as authorities suspect Lucian of being a serial killer. This troubling situation complicates Nadia's life, forcing her to navigate her feelings while dealing with the potential consequences of Lucian's alleged crimes.
In this story, I learn that life isn't about perfection, and love rarely turns out as we anticipate. We also realize that even when the world strips you down to your core, you can still find a way to love in the aftermath. This indicates that you are a survivalist, so whatever happens, don't lose hope.
I really appreciate how this book weaves together so many different elements. The author skillfully balances the narrative, ensuring that while Lucian and Nadia are central to the story, they aren't the sole focus.
It's refreshing to see a plot that explores various characters and their arcs without sidelining the main duo. This approach adds depth and richness to the overall experience, making it all the more engaging.
From what I gathered from a friend, INFAMOUS and the main character Ghost aren't the first books in the series. However, I believe the author did a fantastic job of making the story feel complete on its own. I never felt lost or confused, which is a huge plus. It truly felt like a standalone read, and that alone kept me engaged.
On top of that, the story itself was absolutely captivating. The combination of a well-crafted narrative and the author's ability to draw readers in made for an enjoyable experience. I was hooked from the start, and I can't wait to see what else this author has in store.

First it was seeing this pop up on my goodreads feed 5x in one day, throw in the cover, then the blurb and done deal. Once it was on my thirsty ipad game over, roll on bedtime..I'd also only just finished a book by her the day beforehand (which left me in a bit of a bookfunk to be honest) so I was beyond keen to jump right in, that first chapter and that saying (just one more chapter) was me to a Tee, what was only mean't to be a few pages before sleep claimed me in bed 1.00am rolled around and I was still going, the only indication to put it down and sleep was the thump of my ipad hitting my forehead.

I am so glad I discovered this author, being that this is only the second book I've read by her she fast became one I'm keeping an eye on. Her writing style, her use of words, her characters we end up loving and those feelings of loss when you close out that last page, her storylines which pull you in unawares.
This was soul crushing, dark, gritty, with lightness thrown around like confetti, these two soul mates no matter what life threw at them were destined to be together. Like a phoenix rising Ghost was put to rest and resurrected into a better version of himself but still his heart beat for one woman, years of incarceration couldn’t eradicate his love, it only made it stronger.
This kept my attention throughout, I couldn’t put it down, inhaled it like my life depended on it and have definitely fast become a fan of this authors.

This is my second book, and ARC by Iris T Cannon, and if dark, romance is your jam, then this author is for you. Not sick dark, but dark enough that you can at least try to see redemption. Nadia is training to be a Dr and engaged to Lucian, both are well known, and very popular. You know, the beautiful people. Until they're not. Lucian is accused of being Ghost, a serial killer, and how does Nadia find out? its being broadcast for all to hear while she's buying coffee.
Well, this is pretty bad, you say? things can't get any worse. But read on, dear reader. . . . .
Ten years drag by, and Nadia is stuck in the past, where her friend is dead, her fiancé is in prison, refusing to see her, and she is just existing. That is until Jude enters her life. Jude brings the light back into Nadia's bare existence, he gives her back what she lost, until her ex, thinks he can have her back, and Senator Graves thinks he can have a piece of her too. But wait!, that's not all. But its all im saying here.
I loved the characters, and really felt for both of them, but especially Nadia. How can so much happen to one person?
This was another fabulous read from an author who deserves all the accolades! Im becoming quite invested in ms Cannon's writing!

Whew! Wow, I’m just…wow! I don’t even know where to start or end with this. This was my first read by Iris T. Cannon and she did not disappoint. I’ll need to read the rest of the books to catch up a bit on Ghost.
Nadia and Lucien were the IT couple who people knew and it all seemed to be going well. Until Nadia finds out that Lucien has been dubbed Ghost, the serial killer they’ve been hunting. He’s send to prison with no future left for him and Nadia. She’s heartbroken that he’s completely given up and refuses to see her. The only light in her darkened world was dimmed again.
Fast forward, 10 years, Nadia has become a surgeon and continued her life. The girl who lost her friend and the love of her life, she’s still moving forward. Then, she meets Jude, the guy who brought another smile to her face. Deep down she feels like he’s familiar but she can’t be sure. The truth? Jude is Lucien, reborn and released from prison. His fire for Nadia never burnt out, now he’s got her back and he’s not letting go.
Lucien is everything you never knew you needed in a character. He’ll make you fall in love with him and envy Nadia. If you love dark and romantic with OTT mmc, who is overly possessive and would k*ll for her, this is for you.

I didn’t think she could wreck me anymore…but she has. Again.
I didn’t believe this story could be what it was. I didn’t think it could rival the others. I was wrong. I know better. Iris T cannon breaks you before she puts you back together. I am beautifully broken by her words. I will live in the 5% going forward.
This book was so much more amazing than I thought it could be. I was a fan of the Ghost long before his book came out and I knew his story would destroy me. And it did.
Lucien across aka The Ghost aka Jude Mercer. The man who was convicted, then died then was reborn. Quiet. Steady. Fierce. Loyal. Possessive. He is everything you didn’t know you needed or wanted until he showed up and was just there.
Dr. Nadia Reed is a surgeon who is beyond talented with a scalpel. She tries to be invisible, shrinking into shadows to remain unseen. Hoping her past doesn’t come to collect as she has nothing left to give. Until Jude walks into her life. Quietly. Steadily. And brings life back to where there was only darkness.
This book has a trigger warning list that I highly suggest you read before proceeding. However if you’re brave enough to venture into this dark world that Iris created, then you will be all the stronger for having taken this journey with her.
This book broke me in ways I can’t explain. It spoke to parts of my soul I knew we bent and broken and whispered into them that it’s ok.
Iris T Cannon is one of my favorite dark romance authors. She pulls things out of me I didn’t want revealed and then drowns me with the knowledge that sometimes surviving is the bravest thing we can do to make it through.
If you love all things dark romance, mafia, murder, revenge, touch her and die, possession and obsession vibes then this is the series for you. The Gatti series has been a roller coaster of emotions for me but in the very best way.

Perfection! From the first page I was hooked. Once again Iris has delivered a gripping thrill of a ride. The Introduction bought a tear to my eye, Iris opened her heart & soul on these pages, Ghost being someone in her life, someone she hasn't forgotten. From these words alone, I knew this book was going to break my heart.
Lucian and Nadia are torn apart, from Lucian's actions as 'Ghost'. I inhaled this book , but having limited time each day to read it I was a little obsessed with itching to pick it up again.
After losing Lucian to prison, Nadia trys to rebuild her life with a sucsessful career as a Doctor. She tries to move on, believing he no longer wants her, but nobody can take Lucian's place. Thinking he has died she grieves once again.
Enter Jude, he enters her life, bringing her some light in her darkness. Bulkier than Lucian , but he resembles him in other ways, ways she can't quite pinpoint, just feel.
All the favourite characters from Iris's past booksmake appearances, but you don't need to have read anybooks befoehand, but I would totally recommend reading all of her books as she is a magical writer. Her writing is so relatable with all of the feels and so easy to read. No stumbling over words or back tracking. Magnetic Alpha men, Females who bring them to their knees, but are equally strong.

omg, what a read (I didn't realise that some names mentioned in this book were in another book), but that didn't put me off..

The last three books in the Gatti Enforcer series, along with the interconnected standalones (Mason, The Vagabond, and Jayson), have exceeded my expectations, and Infamous was no exception. I’m not sure what Iris is putting in her books, but I’ve been reading her series since the beginning, and these recent ones just keep getting better and better! Since reading Mason, I’ve been curious to see if Ghost would have a story because the reader only gets snippets of his story. I was so excited to finally get into his head. I loved the way the story set up before he ended up in prison. I had no idea he had a fiancé, and that hooked me from the start. Lucian “Ghost” and Nadia are moving in life together, pasts intertwined, when news broadcasts on TV that Lucian is arrested and accused of being the serial killer “Ghost.” He’s sentenced to prison with no parole and begs Nadia to move on and forget about it.
Ten years later, Nadia is living a hollow life as a doctor, where her ex-fiancé is in prison, her ex boyfriend won’t leave her alone, and the Senator becomes obsessed with her. Despite her life falling apart, she still embodies fierce strength and inner resilience. On Ghost’s end, he’s a changed man after ten years in prison, but he’s had some good fortune in running into the Gatti Enforcer in prison, and all is about to change.
As the story progresses, Nadia begins to open up to a new mysterious man named Jude, who is all too familiar. The reader sees their connection and how their souls are intertwined. At the same time, Jude and the Gatti family are searching for a man who is murdering healthy patients for their organs to sell. And Nadia is closer to the culprit than it would seem.
I found this intriguing book concept because it explores a gray area. Can you still be in love with someone who’s been accused of being a serial killer? And can that love last for 10 years? The book delves into the concept of soulmates, and I genuinely believe that Nadia and Lucian are meant to be together, no matter what obstacles come their way. I won’t spoil the plot, but it was incredibly engaging and kept me on the edge of my seat. The connection and tension between Nadia and Jude were thrilling, and I loved seeing the men from previous books. The book ends in a perfect, morally gray way that brings everything full circle. I’m eagerly looking forward to reading more from this author.

At the same time, Jude and the Gatti family are searching for a man who is murdering healthy patients for their organs to sell. And Nadia is closer to the culprit than it would seem.
I found this intriguing book concept because it explores a gray area. Can you still be in love with someone who’s been accused of being a serial killer? And can that love last for 10 years? The book delves into the concept of soulmates, and I genuinely believe that Nadia and Lucian are meant to be together, no matter what obstacles come their way. I won’t spoil the plot, but it was incredibly engaging and kept me on the edge of my seat. The connection and tension between Nadia and Jude were thrilling, and I loved seeing the men from previous books. The book ends in a perfect, morally gray way that brings everything full circle. I’m eagerly looking forward to reading more from this author.

I just finished Infamous, and I can’t stop thinking about it… or about Ghost or Nadia. I wasn’t just reading. I was there with them, praying, aching, and holding my breath. Every moment hurt, every moment mattered. This is by far Iris T. Cannon’s strongest book.

Iris T Cannon, I don’t know who Lucian cross is to you but thank you for sharing him. This book is heavy and my heart broke page by page but I couldn’t stop reading. The way Lucian feels is intense. I love how the story comes together. It jumps around in the time line but it makes the story so much more powerful. So captivating, I would’ve read this straight through the night except my eyes closed by themselves and I dropped my kindle on my face. Several times. Lucian is sent to prison for life for being the notorious serial killer- Ghost. He is engaged to Nadia when this happens and man the feels from the scene when they are in the same room after the manhunt for Lucian begins brought tears to my eyes. The Ghost has help escaping the prison but to the world he is dead. He is given a new face, name and life. So of course, he has to go get his girl. Nadia sees his ghost constantly and feels like she is going crazy. Her inner turmoil over who she thought her fiancé was, who he really is, and how she feels about the entire situation was beautifully written. I felt everything these characters felt. This book left me with the biggest book hangover. Check your triggers and if there is nothing that bothers you, this is a must read.

Nadia and Lucian are head over heels well on their way to their happily ever after, when Lucian is arrested and locked away for multiple murders. Lucian shatters Nadia’s heart, refusing to see her at the prison and telling her to move on. She loves Lucian so deeply she holds onto hope within her misery until there’s a riot at the prison w/a fire and Lucian is declared dead. Then, she meets Jude. He begins to fill the void Lucian left behind. So many heart pounding twists here. Men who want Nadia, that should’ve stayed in their own lane. I ugly cried for Nadia more than a few times. I am so happy she found her HEA with her heart’s true love.

Infamous is a dark romance about loss, love, revenge, and finding each other again. It is dark and Nadia and Lucian have to go through hell to get their HEA. This book is filled with a lot of dark content between brief periods of happiness. This book is well worth a read, just be sure to check the trigger warnings if needed before reading.
There are a few spots I personally would have loved to see a little more focus on since it is such a major part of where the story goes, but even with that I really enjoyed this book.

Iris writes stories that grab you from the first page and with the vivid writing, character development and perfectly paced storyline, you feel like you are a invisible observer. I like how other characters from previous books are included which makes the story even better. This was an extremely emotional story. I was hoping Ghost would get a book but wasn't ready for his & Nadia's story. It never ceases to amaze me the strength some people have and their ability to overcome traumatic events. What a journey! I couldn't put this book down; there wasn't a single boring part. I didn't know whether to cry or laugh, I loved the story of survival and redemption. Absolutely gripped in to the story line from the first two chapters. The plot shows just how much thought the author has put into her story. The dedication pulled at my heart strings and I just couldn’t wait to get stuck in.

Nadia's fiancé, Lucian (a stock trader), just became the prime suspect in a series of murders. She was in a cafeteria when she saw it on the news.
I liked how the story began, both in the present and the past, so that we got the backstory of what is happening in the present day. I found it to be heartbreaking and full of emotion. I felt bad for Lucian and all the people he had lost, and for the situation that brought him to where he is in life today. I also felt for Nadia, as she made a decision that changed the course of her life, one that she wished she could go back and change.
I do wish that we had more scenes of them together in the book, but it did make sense as he was arrested and serving time. It's also low spice, but the story was more about grief, loss and unfortunate circumstances, and finding their way back to one another.
I really liked how much Lucian loved Nadia, and that he became the world to her, but life got in the way, and they weren't sure there was a future where they would be together. I enjoyed the twist in the book; it was interesting and added a different level to the story (in a good way)!

The story starts with Lucian, who receives a phone call from his sister Billie, desperately begging for help. Despite his best efforts to get to her, he arrives too late. He knows her death wasn't an accident and vows to find the people responsible. Three names... And one by one, he's planning to wipe them from existence.
Lucian is deep in grief for failing Billie and takes drastic actions to avenge her death. Regardless, he never expected to meet Nadia - his third and final victim, to end up falling in love with her. She's different from the others and instead finds a person who resonates him. Nadia also blames herself for not doing more for her friend, Billie, that night.
However, Lucian's past soon catches up to him and he's been convicted of several accounts of murder. Dubbed the Ghost, he is found guilty and is sentenced to life imprisonment. In a blink of a eye, his future with Nadia is gone. He refuses her visits to see him in prison and tells her to move on with her life.
Fast forward 10 years, a riot breaks out at prison causing a fire and Lucian is named as one of the victims. Nadia hears of the news and is devastated.
