As is common for the series it feels very much like start and end of the volume are a bit arbitrary, based mostly on page count than story pacing, although no cliff hanger ending at least, but nothing gets resolved either. Rennt does a bit of dungeon delving, learns something new (and potentially troubling) about dungeons and meets an old acquaintance which hints towards more active involvement in the direction his life is taking in the background than mere chance. Personally I enjoy these slice-of-adventurer's-life stories, especially when set in an intriguing world with interesting characters, but as usual for the series it comes with a lot of telling. The final chapter about Lorraine learning a new skill was charming as well. So all in all, an entertaining read that fitted expectations.
