Ohhh this book! It was a surprise to me because I was expecting a basic sports Romance and it is so much more than that.
It was spicy. The tension between Sawyer (MMC) and Dylan (FMC) was intense in just the right way. And when they finally kissed, I felt my ovaries sit up and start singing in two-part harmony. The actual sexytime was perfect. It was explicit and sexy and very intimate at the same time. Absolute *chef’s kiss*.
It also had a fascinating plot. Sawyer’s sister, who was Dylan’s best friend, passed away and she left them a scavenger hunt for Christmas, which they decided to complete a year later when they found a letter from Eleanor (the sister) and the first clue. They had a series of challenges to complete, with each challenge leading to a clue. (And the word clue brings up some adorable emojis, btw). With some creativity, Eleanor pulled off a nice forced proximity that worked like a charm on our MCs.
The book was also occasionally a tearjerker. Eleanor was so young and so loved. Sawyer was mired in grief and depression, which wasn’t always easy to read about. Dylan was grieving her in her own way, and she was no longer the hotshot lawyer; her edge was blunted and her work was suffering. There were poignant moments. But overall, the story was one of hope, and love, and recovery.
I loved this book.
Book is SAFE.
Heat is EXPLICIT (and EXPLOSIVE).
TRIGGERS include grief, depression, and mild on-ice violence.
TROPES include Best Friend’s Brother, Forced Proximity, Instalove/Secret Crush, I Fought the Law, Totally Pucked, Small Town, and Family Ties.
No Broccoli Dogs were harmed in the making of this book.

Are you ready for a holiday romance that will make you laugh, cry, make you want a happy ending but also give you some spice?? Then read Send Off RIGHT NOW!!!

Dylan is an attorney who is trying to make senior partner at her firm. Sawyer a hockey player who has everything going for him. The one thing they have in common, Sawyer’s twin sister Eleanor. However, Dylan and Sawyer’s lives are changed forever on one fateful day and this brings them together.

After losing Eleanor, Dylan finds out that Sawyer is spiraling. She has no choice but to go to Dickens, Idaho and find out what is happening. To be there as she promised Eleanor.

Sawyer and Dylan bond over crazy holiday scavenger hunt that Eleanor hunt planned for them, but they never knew about. While completing these tasks you can’t help but to feel the tension between these two. The chemistry they once had rears its head.

Should they take this second chance? Can she forgive him? This story will tug at your heart strings but also give you hope. I loved every moment of this book. I was in tears at the end and I still loved it!!! Not going to lie, I cried a few times at the end.

This story was perfection!!

Dylan had a meeting with a client at the Boise Arena, at the same time she was supposed to meet her best friend to see the hockey game.
When her friend didn’t show up , she was worried, which she continued phoning her.
When she had the bad news about her friend she had to face her friend’s brother to tell him that his father wanted him.
They didn’t had that good vibes because in senior year they slept together and from that time they were avoiding each other.
A year passed and she was on a date with a dumb guy who brought marriage clause, when her eyes met the tv screen and it was showing Sawyer that he was quitting from hockey, and she thought that if he’’s quitting from hockey he would be in depression, so she left from her date saved herself and went to pack a bag to go to his parents house.

An amazing story , that I really recommend it to read.
Well done author 👏🏻

This is the second time I have read this book, although the first time it was titled "Once Upon a Christmas Secret". I don't often read a book twice but this one was worth it. I would actually read it again. The scavenger hunt in this book was awesome as it got Dylan and Sawyer to get outside their comfort zones and ultimately reach for what they truly desired. Sawyer's deceased twin Eleanor, who was Dylan's best friend, came up with the scavenger hunt to help the two people she loved the most in the world come together. I highly recommend this book to all romance readers.

This is a wonderful story and I loved the bonding Christmas scavenger hunt.
Dylan and Sawyer were sweet and steamy, everyone could see they were meant for each other.
I enjoyed how their shared grief was what drew them back together allowing them to grow closer and realise their true feelings and potential.
Full of fun, humour, banter, adventure, healing, and romance. This is a heartwarming and inspirational story that has a little matchmaking from the other side and a beautiful HEA.

Time to Hunt

Dylan and her best friend are supposed to meet up when tragedy strikes. A year later she is drawn to help Sawyer heal from their shared grief. Their chemistry was off-the-charts and every moment spent together was entertaining and full of adventure. I could not put this one down.
