Hmmmm, I didn’t really enjoy this one. I don’t think I am liking where this story is going, I figured it would end soon, and this definitely feels close to the end, but it just feels so different from the first part of the series. So many shonen series feel like their inspiration has drained dry by the end of the story and I guess this one is the same? Maybe I’m just too tired idk (it is 3:54 am for me right now oopsie).
I've been following the chapters on Jump+ and reading each new one that comes out within hours of release. Now that this has been posted on here, I can state my thoughts on all the chapters that will most likely be in this volume, up to 222. Denji Man.
I gotta say, despite many fans' complaints about Part 2, the only time I've ever come close to agreeing with them about this series beginning to wane was with the Chainsaw Man Church arc. I found their concept interesting but the execution lacking, especially since its leader is one of my least favourite characters in the entire series. Before and after that, though, this has been a wild. Yoru's second battle with Denji has been nothing short of a goddamn blast, and as their battle escalates to greater apocalyptic heights with each new chapter, while never losing sight of the core themes and emotional payoffs for both Denji and Asa. Fujimoto hasn't lost his touch or forgotten what he was doing with their internal conflicts and I applaud how he's using spectacle to explore those themes. I'm looking forward to the rest of it.
This cover is absolutely messy as the new chapter begins with Yoru and Denjisaw eternal battle. The author really subverted the genre and created a unique anti hero, Denji was never a good young man. I never thought that Yoru would be the main villain in this new arc as I never took her new world's order seriously. Denji is in his new era to being an adult man dealing with serious problems. Not only could he defeat Yoru he basically erased all the devils and hell(or hell was always empty). This is a chaotic world and it was never supposed to fix anything.
I did not see the author's vision but I am excited that what he has in store for us. I hope that Denji and Asa can finally be together in a good way without anyone trying to kill them again.

The system of Devils and why they exist and what they do is such genius, and has so much potential. Even late into part 2, there are still plenty of surprises, tricks, deceptions... poor Denji, I hope he can keep up!
ending the read here on the assumption that csm222 denji-man will be the last chapter of this volume. Like oh my god. this volume is where i actually started reading live each week and the euphoria of 222 2 days back STILL hasnt worn off
Uhhh, this is getting...silly? With no redeeming aspects? Also, enooouuugh fight scenes. I fear the brilliance of arc 1 is almost completely drained out of it.
just a question, if I'm a citizen of California what gives the governor the right to act with my life or sell it in a contract ? 😹😹 intros are off and its just all out devily thoughts display
