His need to find Veronica takes him across the state and into new villages and an city. But his love for pie challenges all of that. From practicing his magic by learning to fine tune small details, to creating items out of essence that you can eat, he grows in ways that should be impossible. But to Shane, using is essence is like breathing. Then again, his body runs off essence, so maybe it is breathing.
But no matter how much he changes, will he be able to fight against the voice and call of the Harbinger? How far from humanity will he travel? And what sort of pie is going to call to him next?
