Marv is obsessed with his beautiful young neighbor, Lacey. Each night, he secretly watches her through her apartment window, longing for her to rescue him from loneliness.



Until one night, when Marv witnesses the unthinkable: A man barges into Lacey's apartment, kidnapping her at gunpoint. Marv is terrified by what he sees, but his terror quickly turns to wrath. Whoever this man is, he just messed with the wrong one.



Lacey fears for her life. After making a stupid mistake, now she's in a battle for survival. When taken to a discreet location in the middle of the woods, she knows the only way out is to fight. But how can she win, when he has the gun?



She prays someone will find her before it's too late, but what if her savior has sinister intentions?

This was a nice and interesting novella. The novella starts with you meeting Marv one of the main characters and the peeping Tom and then gives a concise exploration on how Marc met his love interest and neighbor Lacey. The story quickly spirals into conflict when Lacey is assaulted and kidnapped from her apartment and Marv’s heroic efforts to save her which eventually leads to the final scene of the story with Lacey taking the time to get to know Marv more. I really enjoyed this novella and I liked how it ends in a way to let the reader allude to what happens next for Marv and Lacey by providing an opportunity to draw your own conclusions to where their “relationship” could potentially go.

I enjoyed this web exclusive novella! It was a good, suspenseful read that had me making sure my curtains were closed!
Marv definitely gives old creep vibes…or does he? You’ll have to read to find out! A perfect quick read if you’re looking for a little suspense!
