Lost Spirits: Three Paranormal

Rate this book
When the dead speak, their secrets refuse to stay buried.
Former Texas Ranger Mason Redstone, now a gifted medium and private investigator, navigates a dangerous landscape of murder, betrayal, and supernatural threats alongside his intuitive sister Mikey and his enigmatic partner Trick Monroe. From a chilling murder investigation that tests old loyalties to sinister conspiracies in a rehabilitation center, this collection delivers three pulse-pounding supernatural thrillers that will keep you turning pages late into the night.

Perfect for fans of James Rollins' supernatural elements, Dean Koontz's psychic mysteries, and Preston & Child's thrilling suspense, this collection features a troubled hero, haunting spirits, psychic abilities, and murder investigations that blur the line between natural and supernatural.

Experience the spin-off series readers are calling "unputdownable," where family bonds are tested, partnerships are strained, and the dead hold the keys to solving the most challenging cases. First introduced in the Detectives Daniels and Remalla book, Of Breath and Blood, the Redstones feature sibling and best-friend family dynamics, hurt/comfort moments, and edge-of-your-seat suspense, and will appeal to readers who love supernatural twists with their detective and private investigator fiction.

Lost Spirits includes books one to three in the series — Lost Souls, Lost Dreams, and Lost Chances, plus bonus content from the Redstone Case Files.

"The story had a great mix of diverse and well-developed characters, each with their own unique personalities and motivations. The plot was intricate and full of unexpected twists and turns, keeping the reader engaged and guessing until the very end. The writing was exceptional, with vivid descriptions and compelling dialogue that brought the narrative to life. Loved it!"
- Amazon review for Lost Souls.

"This installment is enough to bring you to tears. Family, murder, and demons, oh my… all the things that scare a person most are front and center here. Don’t read alone at night!"
- Amazon review for Lost Dreams.

"Another cracking story from this author. I do love how it all comes together at the end, like rope strands. This time it needs more help than ever to solve it. What are we going to get in the next one, I wonder? Cannot wait to find out. Highly recommended."
- Amazon review for Lost Chances.

J.T. Bishop

Award-winning author, J.T. Bishop, is a writer of mystery thrillers with a supernatural edge. Growing up, she read books by Stephen King, Mary Higgins Clark, and Dean Koontz, devoured every episode of The X-files, and watched plenty of TV shows with great partnerships that left her wanting more. She loves tangled relationships, unexpected twists and turns, heart-stopping love stories and the complications that come with all the above. Throw in a little supernatural fun and she’s hooked. Her evil plan is to hook you, too.

She’s the author of The Red-Line Trilogy and its sister series, The Fletcher Family Saga, which features touches of urban fantasy, light sci-fi, and paranormal romance. She’s also happily writing mystery thrillers featuring two charismatic detectives who may occasionally encounter a supernatural villain or two, and a crossover series which follows the exploits of a gifted, but troubled, paranormal P.I. and his spunky sister.

All the above keeps her busy, but in her spare time, she loves a good movie, tasty food, an unfortunate sugar addiction, and traveling.

Get caught up with J.T. and her writing adventures at www.jtbishopauthor.com. And while you’re there, get a short story prelude to her first book for free, plus a novella and a few other offerings. Enjoy!

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This box set contains the 1st three books of a great series.

The first book reunites Mason and Trick, former Texas Ranger partners, as Trick attempts along with Mason and Mikey, to discover who killed his stepbrother Chad. Follow the clues with them as they try to clear Cissy, Chad's wife, of murdering her husband.

The 2nd book begins with Mason getting rid of spirits at a house, but one remains which follows him home. Trick has rejoined Mason at the firm and meets with a client who wants him to locate her brother. Later, as these items are going on, Mason's and Mikey's brother, Max, is arrested for murder and things don't look good. Follow this story to see how everything worked out in the end.

In this the last book in the set, Mikey, Trick and help from Kyle are keeping SCOPE running while Mason is in drug rehab. Trick gets a case in which Gina, a former friend of Mikey, ask for helping in finding out who killed her sister Lenore who the police called a suicide. In addition Margaret, Mason and Mikey's sister, has escaped from a psychiatric facility and is believed to be looking for both Rem and Mikey. Mason discovers from Carla information related to the disappearance of 3 other patients in the facility have disappeared. When Carla disappears as well, Mason begins looking into what happened to cause them all to leave. Follow along as Trick, Mikey, Val, Mason, Rem and Daniels get involved in trying to resolve the case at the clinic. The ending supplies all answers.

All three of the books are definite winners and well worth the read. This is a great way to start the Redstone Chronicles!

Lost Spirits

This is a great way to start this series. If you like the paranormal and detective type series, this is a great series to read.

Lost Souls reunites Mason and Trick. Along with the issues they encounter with their relationship and the cases they are dealing with made this a very exciting read.

Lost Deams has the team on another case and Mason is dealing with demons of his own, both literally and figuratively. Trick and Max are both in danger. Will they realize soon enough? It was a wild ride.

Lost Chance sees Mason taking control of his issues but that does not stop him from being pulled into an investigation. The team is on their own keeping SCOPE up and running. Again another exciting read.

I love the additional case files at the end of each of the books that were not in the individual ones.

This collection of paranormal thrillers is a great start to reading JT Bishop’s work. I have read other books featuring different main characters and enjoyed them and these characters are good as well. I met these characters in a previous book called Lost Time. These three books are exciting and each one leads to the next.

THE REDSTONE CHRONICLES, Books 1- 3
Source: The author; individual stories, my Kindle library.
LOST SOULS, #1 - Interesting introduction to a series related to another series, Daniels and Remalla. I like the writing style of this author. Interesting story lines and good characters set to a good pace. 4*

LOST DREAMS, #2 - The story lines and characters are interesting along with a steady pace. 4*

LOST CHANCES, #3 - Interesting story lines. Interesting characters. I like this series as much as I like Daniels and Remalla. 4*

SHADOWS AND SECRETS:
A Detectives Daniels and Remalla Omnibus Collection Books 1-3 Source: The author; Individual stories, my Kindle library. 4*

HAUNTED RIVER, #1 - Interesting and intriguing story lines. Good characters. A bit of ghosts and nightmares. Humor. The last chapter sets up the next book. 4*

OF BREATH AND BLOOD, #2 - Starts about a month after HR ends. Intense. Dark. More self-discoveries that border paranormal. 5*

OF BODY AND BONE, #3 - Picks up three months after OBAB. More paranormal experiences. Interesting. Sadly, ends short, must continue on to find out what happens after the bombshell. 4*

ILLUSIONS, #8 - The author warned to read the previous book of this series before reading Illusions. I did not since I did not have a copy and did not miss the book until I read the last chapter of this book. The story continues in another book although small pieces of the big puzzle were found but the ending did not satisfy me. The previous books are not rehashed, just bits mentioned here and there, which did not interfere with the story lines. I would recommend reading the previous books since there's more to the story ranging over at least one more book. Good story lines and good characters. Source: The author. 4*

VENDETTA, #9 - Luckily for me, I had Illusions, the previous book of this series. The story picks up where Illusions ends. Immersing and interesting with plenty of secrets and action. Continues into the next book with the new story line twist. Source: The author. 5*

BLACK BIRD, #10 - It's best to read the two previous books, although there is a "Previously" segment giving a good rehashing of book nine Vendetta. Picks up where Vendetta ends. Interesting. Good characters. Source: The author. 4*

Lost Souls (Book One in the Redstone Chronicles), my fourth read from author J.T. Bishop and the first book in the Redstone Chronicles.

Lost Dreams: A Paranormal P.I. Mystery Thriller (The Redstone Chronicles Book 2), my fifth read from author J.T. Bishop and the second book in the Redstone Chronicles. The book was well-written & flowed smoothly & quickly.

Lost Chances: A Paranormal P.I. Mystery Thriller (The Redstone Chronicles Book 3), my sixth read from author J.T. Bishop and the third book in the Redstone Chronicles. It was nice to see Detectives Daniels and Remalla make a significant appearance as they're my favorite J.T. Bishop characters. “I received a complementary Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. The book was well-written & flowed smoothly & quickly. I look forward to reading more from this author and in particular Lost Hope: A Paranormal P.I. Mystery Thriller (The Redstone Chronicles Book 4). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
