Must-read!
I have ventured into a new territory with this author. I am glad that I did. I am going to frankky say that this book is a must-read. The way the author has intertwined so many characters in one big circle it is like watching a movie as you read each line. The storyline is about Ciara and Hov. All of the other characters in the book play a vital role in their budding relationship. I am going to break it down like this. First and foremost, Ciara has to get rid of Kairo. He should have been dropped like a hot potato years ago. His level of disrespect for her is saddening. Hov may have a lot of irons in the fire in his own life but seems to be the better man for Ciara. There is so much happening in this storyline at once. I feel like Pernell wants a man in her life, and her current relationship with EMoney is not going to last. In addition, I can tell that Emoney means of making a living is going to backfire on her and Elijah. Also, I hope Princeton does not get caught in a crossfire being Hov's informant. Lastly, councilman Davis and his princess of a daughter (Cashmier) are both con-artists and quite suspect. I have an inkling that Cashmier bundle of joy may not be Hov. Her decision to have a child after not wanting children for years was a shock to Hov. Councilman Davis wrote a check that he could not cash. Crew was the right man to cash that check for him. Crew has more going on that meets the eye as well. He is most definitely an unhinged individual.
Ladies and gents, it is safe to say that I am fully invested in this series. I am anticipating the next installment. There have been so many twists and turns that will just make your jaw drop. Those twists and turns keep your attention and the pages turning. I will say once again that this is a must-read, so grab your copy.

From the first sentence, it was pure drama. Ciara definitely loved Kairo past understanding, but there was no growth — she wanted more for herself. Then Hov came in with that BDE and money-first mentality. If it didn’t make money or sense, it wasn’t worth his time. The way their paths crossed was crazy, but I was here for it.
Pernelle was that loud, loyal, and supportive friend every girl needs, but I hate that Emoney dragged her into mess, blackmailing Hov like she couldn’t get touched. Emoney’s secretive ways had me on edge, and Cashmere? She deserves an Oscar because that betrayal seeped right through the pages.
Hov dropping the ball on Ciara’s birthday was crazy work. Councilman Davis played stupid games and won a stupid prize. And Kairo getting out on a murder charge? Sketchy as hell — full snitch vibes.
🔥 That secret Kairo held over Ciara? The definition of foul. He played a dangerous game, and honestly, she’d have been justified turning him into a memory. 🔥

I like a consistent flow. I don’t like when I’m reading a story and I notice inconsistencies in the storytelling. There was the wondering whether or not the call ended because how can a person just jump into another conversation without ending the call that left you in shambles? Then there’s changing whether or not the character knew of a sibling of another character in the book.
First it was written that they knew the other character in the book had a sister, and then in another chapter it was written differently, basically having them now not too sure if the other character is related to the mentioned person. And lastly, first it’s written that a sister and her friend are meeting them, later the sister and friend turn into cousins.
It just seems like the writer forgot the details of the story they were writing. And the build up of the story was somewhat cool but it was dragging. If I didn’t already see what was to come in the second book, this book would’ve left be lost.

My hopes were high. I have started book two and debating on if I want to finish the series. Ciara knows he has a girlfriend. He stands her up but money makes her weak. The best friend knew what was going on but the writing makes it seem like a whole part of the story didn’t happen. How did someone running for office get snatched and ended and nothing happened? Not a news story daughter ain’t wondering where her dad is handler not wondering. It’s just really inconsistent. Her whole fling with the neighbor was really a filler but I guess that’s how her and hov “met”. It had potential and now that I heard this was a rerelease I wonder what was changed.

don’t let a man buy you a tv
This was such a fun book to read. Imagen giving your all to a man who wouldn’t hesitate to betray you and lie to your face like it’s his favorite pass time! Just to find out he’s a cheater and his cheating brings drama to your door like wouldn’t believe! But in the chaos of rebuilding your life, the king of new York has his eyes on you and after buying you a flat screen tv he claimed you as his lmao just to have your ex husband come back and ruin everything again! But not this time! I’m so excited for book 2 Ciara is nothing to play with baby!

This was a messy time and also reminded me why I have issues with love triangles. Mmc is delulu and wants the fmc only for himself, but keeps coming up with excuses to keep his current situation. I needed the fmc to stand up. Like your relationship with your husband ended because you found out he cheated again after the mistress husband pops up at your house. Then you connect with a man in a well known relationship, but you confused on why you feel neglected? I can’t say I’m not invested in the drama but they stressing me out. Be mindful this ends on a cliffhanger.

Oh wow I wasn't expecting it to end like that. Do I feel bad for Kairo no because he put Ciara through so much stuff and to try and blackmail her is wrong on all levels. Do I agree with what she did to her dead baby no but like she said they were kids and scared so they did whatever came to their minds first. I wish her best friend Nelle came out about the truth with Hov girlfriend Cash because she really is a snake just like her daddy and I don't believe she's even pregnant. I'm kinda excited to get into part 2. Goodread

Man.. What???
OMG….. this book was so good. I saw this author’s book on Instagram and decided to download it. When I tell you I was glued to this book, I did not want to put it down. Hov is unhinged but not in the crash out way, he just needs to make his presence known to make people fear him. Ciara deserves the kind of happiness that comes being loved properly. I really hope book 2 exposes Cashmire and Emoney and Elijah for what they did.

If you love mess and drama, this the book for you! Ciara basically caught the rough end of the stick when it came to her Mom and her husband. I truly hate when women accept lie after lie. Her husband was using her card to trick off on a woman tell me why the man confronted her husband and her husband pulled out a weapon. Of course he went to jail. Ciara was trying to move on with her life book this book got even messier. It’s a part 2 and can’t wait to read it next.

Omg this series is gonna be lit. K was putting my girl through some stuff. Hov had me rooting for him for a min, then he disappointed me, and now he is back in good grace. Cash is a piece of work that i can't stand, but her time is coming just like her dad. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read

Ciara went through one situation with her husband and now she seems like she about to repeat the same thing . One thing is she didn’t like her man in the streets but she’s fine with it when he’s the boss ? Shell see him doing something that would make her turn her head from anybody else but with him it’s like she’s just forgets . Confusing Read
These characters are is so immature and the storyline is confusing 🫤. I didn’t care for the the main male character’s street name,when it was revealed that it was short for Jehovah,I lost interest.That’s doing too much! Then the inconsistencies with these characters is irritating.
Can’t wait for the loose ends to be tied up. These are grown people living ridiculously immature lives.

It’s a lot going on but for Hov to be the King of NY Cashmeir should’ve never been able to pull one over on him and I can’t wait until it’s revealed. Ciara is playing a dangerous game, married and falling for a taken man. Some of the story was all over the place but a good read nonetheless.
First read from this author and I’m impressed I will be reading part two immediately after posting this review.

When I say the audacity is real in this book!!! Kairo needs to be dropped kicked because its always someone who be on the bull but demands respect and a loyal partner. Then you have HOV who is in a situationship and moving reckless when it comes to Ciara. Poor thing doesn’t even know how much mess is going on around her. Heck Hov has snakes around him too. Emoney and Elijah along with Cashmire all better sleep with one eye open. I wonder how Pernelle is going to fall once everything comes out. The cliffhanger ending… Hopefully book 2 comes sooner than later.

Ciara husted wanted to be loved and respected. Kairo her husband spent too much time making a fool out of her. Why did he think it was necessary to keep hurting her. Along come Hov who instantly knew this was a good girl and needed the same things he wanted , Peace.

Ciara is weak !!!! First she let Kairo walk all over her and now Hov. She see everything he doing and don’t say anything about it and just ignore it. This was Good on Everything
I never ran so quickly to the next book. For starters, I knew Cashmeir was full of it but now she's claiming she pregnant, that's throwing a monkey wrench in this whole operation. Hov is a lot in a good way and he way he's chasing Ciara for her goodies!!! Lol and the ending for me is ready to see what's next!!!

Very good read!
I can’t wait for part 2!!! I just know that Cashmier isn’t pregnant and lying to keep Hov. Hov is gonna find out about the fake kidnapping. I hope that Ciara did get rid of her sorry of an excuse husband Kairo and Hov helps her out with that.

Now you know I'm stuck. Hov, is gonna really see how Cashmier gets down. Ciara ain't putting up with Kairo mess. And Pernelle just put herself in a messed up situation... I'm ready for part 2.

The burn was for sure slow lol and towards the end I was like okayyyyy we got the man…… Not lol the end had a major plot twist and I was screaming. I hope Hov, will see Ciara really isn’t aware of a lot of the things going on in the back ground. I really didn’t understand Cashmier smh she is just a beautiful snake. Ciara put up with Kairo mess long enough. Pernelle girlllllllll why just why. Well money has always been the root of all evil. I need part two so I can see how it ends.

Enjoyed but...
I enjoyed this book, but I found myself annoyed with the lack of editing. The author really needs to learn how to use the words: two, to, and too. The book has been pretty interesting.

I really enjoy the way this author weaves a story. It all becomes connected in the end. In addition I’m a sucker for a hood love story. This author has become one of my automatic reads. anxiously waiting book 2!!
