Wow, I absolutely loved this story. Every plot point just hit right, and every moment was a pleasure to read.

Silas and Storm’s paths cross again on his family’s ranch whilst he is there to recuperate after a hockey injury. Old feelings come back to the service as the pair work out if they can make some sort of future together. Amazing chemistry between the MCs and a great ending to the Blue River Springs series.

Found family, ranch life, hockey star, second chances, childhood besties, single parent.

The whole time I was reading this book I was like "Yep, that'll do!". Like, this man is everything, ugh, I just loved Silas. I am not always a fan of second chance or a fan of single mom but this book takes both of those things and just makes them right. It's steamy and sweet and honestly I think this is my favorite of the series. I also really liked seeing characters from the other book and their interactions with Silas and Storm. This series will definitely be on my top recommended cowboy romance list!

What fun to be back in Blue River again, I guess for the last time. Silas is the outlier, the brother who left to become a hockey star, but he's injured and back at the ranch to recuperate. Storm, his childhood best friend, is there too and tension is high with lots of unresolved issues. Funny, heartfelt and spicy. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the complimentary copy. The second-chance romance, found family, and cowboy charm made this such an easy read to settle into.

Storm and Silas still had so much chemistry after all those years, and I liked how naturally their connection came back. There was something really satisfying about seeing feelings that never completely went away finally get another chance.

Silas was probably my favorite part. He didn’t rush Storm and instead showed her through his actions that he was serious about being there for her. His bond with Max was especially sweet, and I loved watching him become protective of both of them. I also liked that his growth wasn’t only about rebuilding things with Storm, but also repairing his relationships with his family and moving past the idea that he was the black sheep.

The cozy setting of Blue River Springs added to the small-town feel and made this world fun to step into.

Between the chemistry, family moments, emotional growth, and steam, this was a really enjoyable romance and a lovely introduction to the series.

Welcome back to Blue River Springs with the third book in the series; Saddle Storm. I have been excited to go back to the Blue River Ranch with the Thorne boys and this story is about Silas Thorne and Storm Dalton. Best friends as young kids but both taking two different paths that eventually lead them back to where it all started.

This was another great installment in the series with wonderful characters that I loved to read about again. I really enjoyed the first two books in the series and Dallas Thorne was always be my favorite brother but I do have a soft spot for the hockey player and Silas Thorne is just chef's kiss in this book.

Saddle Storm is full of emotion. Tension and yearning. This book really does give the whole Romeo and Juliet vibe with a sport romance/ranch twist and Roxanne pulled it off with the right amount of everything for the story to keep me hooked until the very last page. It was a beautiful story to read and how Silas was with Max was adorable.

Silas and Storm both needed to heal from their past and for me that was achieved perfectly. For Silas it's always been Storm even if he had just to choose a different path to get back to her. For Storm she needed to see that its okay to have help and to have faith in someone other than herself when it comes to her life and being a mom.

Overall, this was another great book from Roxanne Tully and I can't wait to read more. Are we getting a book about Wesley because I feel like he may be the man to challenge Dallas for the top spot from this series 😍😍😍

Saddle Storm was SUCH an adorable read. I absolutely loved Silas and Storm together — the childhood friends, the second chance, the history between them, the “it’s always been you” of it ALLLLL. And Silas with Max?! My heart. 🥹

I already adore the Thorne boys and being back at Blue River Ranch felt like coming home. I love how much family, love and found family Roxanne manages to weave into these books alongside all the romance, banter and spice.

BUT — as a girl who absolutely LOVES the Hideaway Springs series, THE CROSSOVERS?!?!?! Every single little connection had me internally screaming. There is genuinely nothing I love more than when characters from a series I already adore pop up somewhere else. It feels like a little reward for the Roxanne Tully girlies who KNOW. 😂😭

I did enjoy this book but it wasn’t a blow me out of the water cowboy romance. I think cowboy romance has had its time and now it’s over done. It was fun having it mixed with hockey. As someone who grew up in a town where the cowboys also played hockey it was pretty fun in that aspect.

Saddle Storm is easily one of the best second-chance romances I’ve read so far. And it’s a Roxanne Tully romance, so you already know it’s going to be good. But then add in a sports romance AND a cowboy small-town romance? Some of my top genres all in one book.

Silas and Storm were such a perfect match. Childhood best friends, the Romeo and Juliet vibes, the history between them. I was here for all of it. There was just so much underneath their relationship, especially with everything that happened in their past.

Silas was such a genuinely good guy with a heart of gold. He had his own trauma and unresolved issues to work through, so when he comes back to his childhood ranch to heal, he ends up having to deal with a lot more than just himself. He has to repair his relationship with his family, reconnect with his best friend, and try to fix something he never actually broke in the first place.

And watching him slowly find his way back to Storm was absolutely perfect.

Storm was so incredible, on so many different levels, and I loved her so much. She was resilient, loyal, strong, and absolutely devoted to her son. She had been through a lot, but she never stopped fighting for herself and Max. Of course, she also had a pretty big secret, and watching that secret get harder and harder to keep as she and Silas got closer had me completely invested.

And Silas with Max?! Please!! He was so good with him, and I loved watching their relationship develop. Silas didn’t just fall back in love with Storm; he became someone Max could depend on too.

And when Silas finally found out Storm’s secret, I was waiting for everything to blow up. But somehow, that moment ended up bringing them closer instead of tearing them apart. I really loved that. Silas had every reason to be angry, but he was able to work through it and understand where Storm was coming from.

Silas, Storm, and Max just worked. They became this little family so naturally, and I loved watching them find their way back to each other.

And that epilogue was SO good. Their happy ending was completely deserved, and I loved how their story came full circle while also giving them this brand-new beginning. After everything they went through, seeing them finally get their family and their happily ever after was exactly what I wanted.

Saddle Storm is the third book in the Blue River Springs series, and it has that small-town romance feel that is really easy to get into. It mixes cowboys, hockey, second chances and a romance between two people who already have a lot of history together.

The story follows Silas and Storm, who were childhood friends but haven’t exactly had the easiest relationship since growing up. Silas is a hockey player who ends up back at his family’s ranch while recovering from a shoulder injury. Storm, meanwhile, has built a life for herself at the ranch and isn’t exactly happy to have Silas back in it.

I liked the fact that their relationship isn’t instantly perfect. There is clearly a lot of old hurt and frustration between them, especially because Silas has a habit of leaving when things get difficult. Storm has worked hard to create her own life, so she isn’t willing to just forget the past because Silas is suddenly back.

The childhood-friends-to-lovers part was probably one of my favourite things about the story. You can tell there is still something between them, even when they’re arguing or trying to stay away from each other. Silas also has that typical charming, golden-retriever personality, which makes it hard not to like him, even when he gets things wrong.

The ranch setting also works really well for this type of romance. It gives the story a cosy small-town atmosphere while still leaving plenty of room for drama and tension between the characters.

I enjoyed Saddle Storm. It was an easy and entertaining romance with plenty of chemistry, emotional history and the second-chance storyline I was hoping for. If you enjoy small-town cowboy romances, childhood friends becoming something more, or stories with a bit of hockey thrown in, this is definitely one worth picking up.

Loved this to pieces! This is a childhood friends to nothing to lovers with secrets and hurt and insecurities littering every page that draws you in immediately and is physically impossible to put down.
I’m all in on the charm, the emotion, and the way Storm and Silas reconnect in this small town romance. It’s like they were both happy but not whole, settled but waiting for that something more and missing the piece they needed to get there because they didn’t have each other. Until an injury sends Silas back to his family’s ranch and then there’s no avoiding having the conversations they should have had years ago, no denying that they’re drawn to each other like magnets, and no way Silas is walking away a second time. I love that even though he’s surprised, Storm being a single mom is not even a thing for Silas, it’s beyond adorable the way he connects with Max, that the things that really stand in their way are their fears about being totally honest and I love the added emotion and healing that happens within Silas’s family as they also share a few truths and get a new perspective on their relationships. This is all around a genuinely fantastic read that is just so well fleshed out and plotted, it has you laughing and all up in your feels, and I think the flow, the dialogue, and the depth to Storm and Silas’s relationship make it absolutely irresistible.

This was my favourite so far. I didn’t expect to really enjoy Silas’ story but I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely fell head over heels for his relationship with Storm and Max. I spent the whole time worrying if Jasper was going to ruin it for them though!! Absolutely loved it and felt like I really knew the characters well.

Not for me, but I can see the appeal.

I really enjoyed Silas working through his issues with his family and the ranch. Or maybe them fixing the issues for him by forcing him to talk about them, but still. That aspect was cool and moving.

I can also appreciate the nods to other books by Tully, even if I've only read this series. Not subtle, but definitely a treat if someone is a fan.

The book is definitely easy to read, despite everything I didn’t like about it. And I mean easy as in 'it reads nicely and fast' not in a 'the language used is simplified to better understand'. Once you're in, you want to continue, even if things rub you the wrong way sometimes.

Also, for quite some time, I believed we were slowly building up to an epic 3rd act breakup, and I'm so glad that's not the case and for once everything went relatively smoothly.

However, I spent the majority of the book simply frustrated with the characters on many fronts.

For a start, I had a problem with understanding the main conflict. Why can't he simply tell her why he stayed away? Why does it matter who the kid's father is? This is nonsensical to me. The first thing shouldn't have been a secret at all, I don't get why he wouldn't just say it when she asked. The second is purely stupid. Why such a fuss? Who cares? It's not like the guy is in the picture or she had a baby out of spite.

I'm also not a fan of Silas's behavior. He's entitled, controlling and pushy. Just because you want something doesn't mean you should force it. If someone says no or you suspect they would had you asked, you don't go looking for loopholes. You shouldn't mess with someone's parenting or use their kid against them in any way. There are other ways of flirting than sexual innuendos. I don't like him, and as much as I understand it was meant to be sexy or come off as taking care of Storm, I saw his behavior as a red flag, because if you don't even ask the woman what she wants and just push her into taking the things you're giving her, will you ever accept a 'no'? It sounds like that kind of relationship which starts out well enough, but ends in the woman being completely controlled by her partner.

When it comes to the spice - what do you mean they don't use protection and he comes inside her? She has a kid from an accidental pregnancy and she's clearly unsure about this relationship lasting, so what the hell? Plus, too many consecutive Os, but that's a preference, just something that personally irks me off.

When it comes to the writing itself - there are small but weird inconsistencies like Silas wanting to grab a coffee because he needs caffeine badly and somehow ending with a lemonade, and Storm feeding Silas's horse but thinking about Skye and suddenly it's Skye who eats the carrot. Details, really, but they bugged me.

Also, I think it's tradition with this series by now, but the editing of the file made for Kindle is terrible.

Lastly, something that recently I've been more and more careful about when choosing ARCs but failed to check before I accepted this one - the author is really elusive when it comes to mentioning who made the art for the book. It's not on her Instagram (or the publisher's), the copyright page, or in the acknowlegements. She also didn't reply to my message and comment asking about it. I don't want to support someone who doesn't support the artists who worked with them, so this is definitely my last book of hers. Besides seeing this as disrespectful, I also simply don't like the lack of transparency, especially at a time when AI is unfortunately more and more common in the writing world (which it should have no space in).

I think most readers who enjoy second chance romance and find controlling MMCs appealing are going to like this. Again, it's just not for me.

I actually really loved the story between these two! Even the way that fate was messed with that one night when Storm was 18 because blessings come in the most creative packaging sometimes.

Single mom, Storm, has been back at her childhood ranch for quite some time and had always been best friends with her secret crush, Silas. Silas had gone off to the big leagues of hockey and, in her mind, never looked back but she never really knew the real reason their interactions had just come to a screeching halt.

Well Silas is BACK baby and he has his eyes set on his prize and nothing stands in his way anymore when it comes to what he wants. I enjoyed the possessiveness of him when it came to Storm. Gotta love a man who knows exactly what he wants and will show you just how he’s gonna get it.

Storm obviously enjoys the domineering side of Silas even after all these years of no contact. She’s a single mom and you need to read the book yourselves if you want to read all the fun stuff that goes on there but she just seemed ready to have someone else take care of her for once. A son, a dad in a care facility, it’s easy to see why she easily passed over the reigns when Silas steps in.

The only thing I would change a little would be the details and the pacing. While I loved the spice, I just felt a big gap in the chemistry. The yearning was there but the transition from winning her over to all of a sudden tying her up in the barn made me go “whoa, did I miss something?” Just gimme more of that chemistry baby and we have liftoff.

I DO recommend this book and this entire series! It’s refreshingly different from the other small town, ranch life romances and that’s always welcome in my TBR!

I enjoyed Silas and Storm's former best-friends-to-lovers romance.

I really liked Silas. While it was uncool that he ditched his friendship with Storm in high school, his intentions were completely noble. He truly believed what her father said about him: that he wasn't good enough for her and would only drag her down with him. My heart broke a little for teenage Silas and a lot for the adult who grew up thinking his family didn't believe he was worthy of learning how to run the family ranch. Despite making it to the NHL, he still sees himself as less than. I spent most of the book wanting to give him a giant hug.

I had a bit more trouble with Storm. She has one of my favorite personalities: independent, strong, and hardworking. I definitely vibed with her. But her insistence on keeping the identity of her son Max's father a secret from Silas really frustrated me. At one point, she straight-up lies to Silas, which isn't the foundation for a strong relationship. I understand her worry about his reaction, but learning that she lied is guaranteed to upset him, even if the paternity itself doesn't. And it felt super unrealistic that in their tiny town, every single person wouldn't already know her business. An unmarried pregnant eighteen-year-old would be HUGE gossip fodder.

As a couple (aside from the lying), I liked the chemistry between Silas and Storm. They have a lot of tension-filled banter and plenty of steam once they finally get together. I wish we had gotten to see more of their friendship as children rather than just being told about it, but that's a personal preference.

I'm sad that this is the last trip to Blue River Springs, but I'm happy to see that each brother got his happy ending.

Saddle Storm was such a fun book to read!

I’m not always the biggest second-chance romance reader, but something about the blurb for this one really piqued my interest, and I’m so glad I gave it a chance.

I thought the second-chance aspect added so much depth to these characters and their relationship, especially with the flashbacks that gave us glimpses into their past. They’ve both been through their fair share of mistakes and hurt, but what they have the opportunity to build together could be bigger and better than anything they’ve experienced before.

I especially loved that she doesn’t just immediately give in when he comes back after being gone for so long. He didn’t return completely of his own choosing, and she isn’t willing to simply pretend that nothing happened and slip right back into being friends. I really appreciated her standing her ground and making him work for it.

He isn’t thrilled about being back in his hometown, but while recovering from an injury, he doesn’t have much of a choice. What he didn’t expect was just how difficult it would be to walk away and leave a second time—especially now that the emotional tension between them is impossible to ignore.

And the banter between these two! I couldn’t get enough of it. Their chemistry, the tension, and all the emotions between them made their journey such a fun one to follow. I loved seeing them get a second chance at love and watching everything unfold between them.

Saddle Storm by Roxanne Tully is the third installment in the Blue River Springs series. As always, I do recommend reading the series in order to get the most out of it, however, each book can be read as a standalone in an interconnected world.

For readers who enjoy a second chance, cowboy/single mom romance, this will be the one for you. Silas and Storm have history so of course there will be some tension after all the time they have been apart. Storm is independent, she has made it her mission to be so, so while I do appreciate Silas wanting to come in and help and girl out…him just throwing money at everything to “fix” things just left a bitter taste in my mouth after an otherwise, very sweet story.

As much as I tried to get the “golden boy” hockey player returned home to small-town, it just didn’t take. Don’t get me wrong, the small town feels are there, but Silas just doesn’t give Golden Retriever energy, more like ... .prince charming with a naughty side. Regardless, the two childhood friends slowly start to learn each other again, and while doing so, fall back in love with one another.

Overall, I did enjoy the book, the series even more so. For readers that like Elsie Silver, this will be right up your alley. The storyline is easy to keep up with, even if it is a little typical, but the characters are enjoyable and I would recommend it to others readers who enjoy this type of genre. I will be curious to see how this series continues.

Saddle Storm follows Silas, a successful hockey player who returns to Blue River after an injury and finds himself back around Storm, his childhood friend and the girl who has always meant more to him than he admitted. Storm has her own life and responsibilities now, but being around Silas brings back all those old feelings and memories they never really got over.
I absolutely loved this one. The second-chance romance was so sweet, emotional and full of that soft chemistry I love. Silas was such a lovable golden retriever hero, and his little moments with Storm had me smiling so much.
Storm was strong, independent and honestly so easy to love. I also really enjoyed their playful banter and all the little moments that showed how much history they had together. Their relationship felt natural and the emotional side made it even better.
The ranch setting gave the story such a warm and cozy feeling, while the romance still had enough tension and spice to keep me hooked. I loved the mix of sweetness, family moments, old feelings and second chances.
This was such a cute, comforting and swoony read, and I genuinely enjoyed every bit of Silas and Storm. Definitely a 5 star romance for me.

Saddle Storm is one of the best second chance romances I've read so far. And it's a Roxanne Tully romance so you know it's good. And what makes it even better is that's a sports romance crossover with a cowboy small town romance. All the goodies in one place. And Silas and Storm are the perfect match, the cowgirl and the hockey player, the childhood friends and that Romeo and Juliet vibes. All of that and so much more. Silas was a genuinely good guy with a heart of gold. And he has some unresolved issues and a trauma to heal from. So when he gets back to his childhood ranch to heal he has to deal with all of this and also reconnecting with his best friend and fixing something he didn't broke years ago. While Silas works on his recovery he manages to repair his relationship with his family and to get Storm back in his life . And he was so good with her son. And Storm was such a baddie and I loved her for her resilience and loyalty and her dedication to her son. But she has a secret that's hard to keep while they're getting closer with Silas. And Silas was so good with Max. I was swooning big time. And he managed to keep his temper when he finally learned Storm's secret. And that was the moment that build them and didn't break their relationship. Silas , Storm and Max were an instant family and that epilogue was so good. Their happy ending was so well deserved and somehow their story made a full circle with their new beginning.

Words cannot describe how gorgeous this story is. It warmed my heart and gave me butterflies with how much I loved Storm and Silas.

Saddle Storm is a beautifully sweet second chance, single mum/hockey player romance. Silas is taken out of his hockey season by an injury and returns home to his family ranch to recuperate. Storm has also returned to her hometown and taken a job on his family ranch as a horse riding instructor. Storm is a hardworker to give her son a solid home and safety. She is a huge part of the local community and extended family.

This is a story of teenage mistakes and miscommunication. Storm and Silas missed their first chance at love. But by reuniting as adults and slowburning their way through this narrative, they get a mature chance at a happy ending. Storm is cautious to protect not only her heart, but her son's also. Silas is so determined to support her and be part of her life, but is willing to put in the work and be patient at the same time. He shows real strength and growth to find a role within the town and within his family, to feel less of an outsider.

This is a touching and heartwarming family based story. It fits so well with the brothers stories that have come before and almost gives the happiest of endings to finish the series. I could happily live within these pages forever more and enjoy the warmth of their HEA.

The Blue River Springs series has become one of my favorite small town romance series. I loved Wilder & Rose, and her golf cart antics, in Wild Rose, and Dallas and his surprise unwelcome houseguest, Willow in Fallen Willow, but if I had to pick a favorite (and this was hard), it would be Silas & Storm in Saddle Storm, the third and final installment of the series. There was just something so incredibly special about the second chance he was determined to get with the only woman he's ever loved. Storm carried a lot of hurt from losing her childhood best friend, and the boy she loved more than a friend, so when Silas comes home to heal from a hockey injury, those old feelings are warring with wanting nothing to do with him so she could protect her secret and still loving him. The mutual pining was next level and their chemistry and connection were undeniable, but she just couldn't seem to let go of the past. Storm had a serious struggle between head and heart. There was no way she could continue to resist that man while watching him bond with Max, or from his acts of service she tried to reject. Not to mention his well intentioned meddling family, and the real reason he put distance between them in the past coming out. I genuinely enjoyed them finding their way back to one another slowly but surely. Their slow burn was as torturous as it was perfect for their journey back and to forever. The gasp that came from me at the scene outside the hockey arena and her secret being exposed had me begging the universe for that not to be the end. Fear not, Silas just proved again that he was the real deal and was in it for the long haul. I loved that Silas rebuilt his relationship with his family and her father while cementing his place in Storm's life, forever. Saddle Storm was the perfect ending to the series and filled my heart with all the emotions, angst, family and love that I've enjoyed throughout my trips to Blue River Springs.

Saddle Storm was a really fun book to read.

I'm not the biggest second-chance trope reader, but this book piqued my interest with the blurb, and I'm so happy I gave it a chance.

I thought that it gave the characters depth, not just with their past but even with flashbacks of it. They both have been through their fair share of past mistakes and hurt, but what they could build and have together would be bigger than anything else they've dealt with before.

She doesn't give in to him when he comes back after being gone for so long, and I really liked that. He didn't come back of his own will, and she was going to just act as if nothing had happened, and they would be back to being friends again.

He isn't thrilled to be in his hometown, but recovering from an injury, he has no other choice. He didn't account for how hard it would be to walk away and leave for the second time especally now with the emotional tension between them.

The banter between these two was something I couldn't get over. I loved how they got to have their chance at love, and seeing it all unfold was such a fun experience.

I was so happy to jump back into this series. I ate up the first two books. I enjoyed the addition of a hockey player in my cowboy romance series. After finishing book 2, I was pumped for the Silas and Rose story. There is second chance romance, single mom, hockey romance, cowboy romance, distrust, backstory, and previous series characters in the story to round this book out into a work of art. I will continue to recommend this author because she can write a story that will suck you in and feel the story as if you are there with the characters.
Silas is a pro hockey player and brother to Wilder and Dallas who run Blue River Springs. An injury forces him off the ice and to recuperate on the ranch with his family to help. Storm grew up on the farm and was best friends with Silas. She crushed so hard when they were kids. She now works as a trainer/teacher on the farm and now they are forced to interact after a “falling out”. She has a son Silas doesn’t know about and she doesn’t want him to know about because that’s a whole can she doesn’t want to open. She avoids him, he tries to avoid her. The crash is epic and you just can’t put this story down.

I absolutely loved this! I loved the first two books, and this one did not disappoint. I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to read it as an ARC.

I loved all the characters yet again in this series, especially the brotherly banter and the way Rose and Willow make Storm and her son feel welcome on the ranch. And the way Silas is with Storm you can really see how much he cares about her. He definitely had some explaining to do, as he and Storm were inseparable when they were younger but then when they were in high school he ghosted her. So when he comes back home to the ranch due to being out for a few weeks because of an Injury, she has no idea what she had done wrong to of upset Silas back then.

Storm took a little while to warm to, but as you get to know her, you understand why she has her guard up and why she is how she is with silas.
She is also very protective over her son she dosnt like to let him out of sight which is very understandable as it has only been them two for a long time.

Watching storms and Silas friendship grow into a relationship was just beautiful.

I’ve loved all three of these books. It’s such a beautiful series, and you really feel like you’re there with the characters. 5 stars from me

This did not disappoint as the follow up of Fallen Willow. Small town romance between two ex childhood best friends. We begin when Silas returns home to Blue River Springs to recover from a recent injury and attempt to rekindle his old childhood friendship wtih Storm the horse trainer of his family's ranch. Only to discover she's also a single mom.
I enjoyed the relationship not only between Silas and Storm throughout the book, but also Silas and Max (Storm's son). His relationship with Max was very endearing to read about, especially when it came to reassuring Max whenever Silas heard he was embarrassed or shy about something.
The only thing I disliked is the pacing of the book threw me off at times, as some parts seemed rushed or just touched on, then you jump to a new scene mid chapter without any break on the page. I'm sure that will be fixed by the time the book is published, but that was my only issue with the book. If there were breaks on the page to indicate a change in scene or time, this would be an easy 5 stars.
