4 stars for TIMELESS by Grace Patterson ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

TIMELESS honestly read like a full-on Lifetime movie — dramatic & emotional with sooo many twists and turns, I feel like I just got off a rollercoaster! With that said — I could 100% picture Grace Patterson herself starring in it.

Alexa Jones was such a soft, poetic FMC with lots of trauma, but WOW she was way too forgiving. This girl had been through hell and still handed out second (and third… and fourth) chances like candy. I just wanted her to set one boundary.

Colton? HATED him from the very beginning. Alexa’s attraction to him felt like watching a scary movie where the character is about to walk into a dark room and you’re screaming “NOOO, don’t go in there!” — but they do anyway. That was me the entire time whenever he would be in a scene. 😂

Jason gave off slightly creepy energy in the beginning too, but once we got to read his journal, everything clicked and he finally made sense.

I will say, the pacing of the relationships felt very fast. Sometimes Alexa was diving in head first with Colton or James and I was like, “Help… I’m still at the restaurant” (Taylor Swift… IYKYK). I just wasn’t quite up to speed with how quickly things were moving between everyone.

One thing I really loved, though, is how Grace sprinkled little pieces of her real self throughout the book. If you know anything about her or have read her other work, you’ll instantly pick up on those touches.

And Chapter 21??? I audibly gasped. I wanted to throw my book. I even messaged Grace to tell her I was mad at her — however, she redeemed herself. (But I’m still mad at you, Grace, for nearly giving me a stroke!)

Overall, this was a quick and enjoyable read. If you love drama and twisty emotions, you’ll really enjoy this one! This is not your typical romantic love story — TIMELESS also has many triggers, so be sure to check those out before diving in head first.

I don’t even know where to begin! I had the opportunity to read this as a test reader. Grace emailed me the book and I read the prologue and immediately knew any plans I had for the day were out the window. I absolutely loved it. The flow of the timeline, how descriptive it was without being redundant, I laughed, cried and was livid at a character for a good portion of the day! The twists were unbelievable!! This was my second read from Grace, she is so talented!! Definitely put this in your list, you will not regret it.

This was a good read. I enjoyed following Alexa and Jason in this story and quickly found myself invested in them as characters. This book was packed with twists that had me shocked and feeling for the characters. I liked the author’s easy to read writing style and the overall storyline of this book. I also liked the bits of poetry sprinkled through the book. Overall this was a great romance read that was hard to put down.

I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to write a review for a book that has become so much more than just a book to me.

Timeless is, without a doubt, the best book I have ever read. My all-time favorite.🩷

This book made me laugh, cry, think, question, and feel. It was emotional, inspiring, empowering, motivating, intriguing, and completely unpredictable. Every time I thought I knew where the story was going, it managed to surprise me again. The plot twists kept me hooked from beginning to end, and even though I desperately tried to read it as slowly as possible because I wasn’t ready for it to be over… I simply couldn’t put it down.

And now that I’ve finished it, I’m honestly heartbroken that it’s over.

I really hope there will be a sequel someday because I am not ready to say goodbye to Alexa Jones. 🤍

I absolutely adore Alexa. She is such an incredible character, and I would love nothing more than to see more of her in future stories. There is something about her journey that feels so deeply human especially the way she learns that sometimes the things we think are beyond repair are actually the things worth fighting for.

One of the ideas that touched me the most was the concept of broken things.

We spend so much of our lives trying to be perfect. We want to become the best version of ourselves, and when something breaks, we often assume it has lost its value and should simply be thrown away.

But nobody is perfect.

We all have cracks. We all have things inside us that have been broken, damaged, or left unfinished. And being broken doesn’t mean we are worthless or beyond repair.

Sometimes, the broken things are the ones that deserve the most love.

I also loved the idea that Alexa was given the opportunity and, more importantly, the choice to forgive and repair what had been broken. Her relationship with her mother in prison. Her friendships. And, perhaps most importantly, herself.

That message really stayed with me.

Because sometimes forgiveness isn’t about pretending that something never happened. Sometimes it’s about deciding that what happened doesn’t have to define the rest of your life.

And then there are the REFERENCES.

I absolutely LOVE when authors weave their other books into their stories, and I loved discovering references to Grace’s other books throughout Timeless. I was constantly looking for those little connections and wondering whether I had caught them all. 💕

The reference to Am I Perfect Yet? was absolutely PERFECT.

But the most genius reference of all?

Timeless itself.

The fact that Timeless becomes a book within the story is such a brilliant and original idea. I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever read anything quite like it before. It was such a clever way to bring everything together, and I absolutely LOVED it.

There are books you enjoy.

There are books you love.

And then there are books that change the way you see things.

Timeless is that book for me.

It reminded me that people can be complicated, that broken doesn’t mean ruined, that forgiveness can be a choice, and that sometimes the most important person you need to learn to forgive is yourself.

I’m going to be thinking about this story for a very, very long time.

Grace, thank you for writing a book that made me feel so much. Thank you for Alexa, for the lessons, for the surprises, for the laughter and the tears, and for creating a story I truly didn’t want to leave.

I’m already missing it.

And if there is ever a sequel… I will be there. Immediately. 📚
