It’s three years since the Phoenix was killed and the Benefactor put himself into solitary confinement for personal safety reasons. Now Mason wants to talk and give the real facts about who was behind the Revolution group that killed to order to rid the country of some of its ‘hard to catch’ criminals. But the powers that be don’t want him to talk and want him, along with the rest of the surviving group members to be silenced, permanently.
The feel of this story was different to book one. I was confused as to the seriousness of the series during that read because even though conspiracy theories are not too far fetched, the whole using a group of untrained teenagers to become assassins was, to me, farcical. Perhaps it’s because they are three years older now, or because they have experience in the killing field that I didn’t get that feeling this time around, but whatever the reason it does have a more authentic feel.
The plot itself is full of twists and turns, not only is it difficult to know who to trust it’s also hard to know if certain people are who you thought they were, there is a double shocker about one of the characters which I can’t explain without giving spoilers.
The Phoenix Blade series is a thriller, conspiracy theory story and has an edge to it that would have told me the author was male even had I not known it was written by a man before I began reading. It is well written and fairly well edited and I would recommend it to lovers of graphically violent reads!

Its been three silent years since anyone has seen or heard from the Revolution group. Prisoner 845 has been locked in solitary confinement, for his own protection, has decided its time to let go of some secrets. Mason was once a very rich and powerful man who controlled a whole country. He was the President of the United States and the master mind behind the Revolution group. He was known as the "Benefactor". Once word got out that he was going to see the current President of the US, the group was called once again to take care of business. Things get wild and one by one the group is being hunted down, not knowing who to trust and what is behind each corner Agent Peterson and his small group of officials will do what it takes.. . . .
This was a very thrilling read! You for sure did not what or who was coming around each corner, or page you turned. The characters are easy to understand and fit so well, at times you was wondering who really was the bad guy. Pieces from the story fit so well together and I for sure did not see many things that were to come ! Sit back and hold on for a wonderful thrilling ride thru a novel of government conspiracy.
