I’m stuck in a tiny ship with the galaxy’s most uptight alien lord. And I just became his obsession. My job was deliver diplomatic records, get paid, fly home. But my "cargo" turns out to be Lord Rynn Valorian—a high-born alien noble with a bounty on his head. Now, we are being hunted by corporate assassins, and I’m trapped in deep space with His Royal Brooding.
He hates my music. He hates my "reckless" flying. And he really hates how I strip down to fix the engine vents. But every time we survive a near-miss, his perfect control cracks a little more. He looks at me with hungry, possessive eyes that say I'm not just his pilot... I'm his.
Polly is chaos incarnate. She is loud, irreverent, and utterly unsuitable for a male of my station. Logic dictates I keep my distance; her human fragility is a liability. But when the hunters close in, something ancient and primal wakes up inside me.
She refuses to leave my side, even when the galaxy burns around us. She thinks she is just saving a passenger. She doesn't realize that by staying, she has sealed her fate. I will destroy anyone who tries to take her from me.

Another fun and action-packed in the OOPs intergalactic courier series, this volume centers on pilot Polly and Valorian prince Rynn, who’s the “cargo” shea charged with delivering. Hunted by relentless forces who want to harvest Rynn’s DNA, Polly will stop at nothing to keep him safe, and Rynn finds something worth fighting for: his fated mate.
I received an advance reader copy from the author, and I’m sharing my honest review.
A courier. An alien noble. A deadly mission. And a bond that won't break.
Polly is a no-rules courier with a sharp mouth and no time for authority. Her latest job looks routine: transport a sealed diplomatic case and one uptight alien noble to a secure drop point. But Rynn isn’t just a passenger. He’s the galaxy’s most tightly wound heir, and someone wants him silenced before the data he’s carrying reaches its destination.
Trapped in deep space, hunted by corporate assassins, Polly and Rynn are forced to survive side by side. Tensions flare fast. His control starts to crack under pressure, and Polly sees through the armor. What she finds underneath isn’t just discipline, it’s devotion waiting to break free.
Their bond triggers something ancient and unstoppable. What starts with sharp words and wary glances turns into a pull neither of them can resist. He’d fight entire systems to keep her safe. She’d burn every rule that says she shouldn’t.
With war rising and power shifting, they’re not just fighting for survival anymore. In a galaxy built on legacy and control, Polly and Rynn choose each other. Their love is chaotic, earned, and the most dangerous truth they carry.
Polly grows from an untouchable, fiercely independent courier into someone who chooses love without losing herself. Rynn sheds the weight of duty to become a partner who feels, protects, and lets go of control. Their bond builds slowly, fueled by trust, tension, and the refusal to let go when it matters most.
A steamy, grumpy sunshine, forced proximity, alien–human romance packed with tension, slow burn devotion, and a bond that refuses to break. It’s about two people from opposite worlds who fight, fall, and choose each other through chaos, instinct, and loyalty tested by survival. In a galaxy that never meant for them to collide, they find power in choosing love anyway.
The Elevator Pitch: A high-stakes sci-fi romance where a sharp-tongued courier and an uptight alien noble are forced into close quarters on a mission that could change the galaxy. Packed with tension, slow burn chemistry, and a powerful bond neither of them expects, their story blends action, emotion, and intimacy with real depth. It’s grumpy sunshine meets primal devotion in a world where survival means choosing each other.
This is book five in the "You've Got Alien Mail" series, and it can be read as a standalone.
Polly, our pink haired FMC, is a courier and loathes the spaceports, but when the OOPS (Orion Outposts Postal Service) officer offers her triple the pay - a bonus if done within twenty-four hours - and gratefully accepts the opportunity to deliver. She uses her beloved ship, Pink Slip, which hums with glowing hot pink neon strips, flashy and sassy like her. Much to her disappointment, she spots a tall, dark-haired man with expensive garments standing near her ship: her client. What is he doing there, you ask? He's going to accompany her to make sure the parcel gets where it needs to be. He looks strict, brooding and...attractive. Suddenly stranded, do they end up feeling more for each other than something professional? And it doesn't help that he's got a target on his back...will they escape?
As soon as Rynn is introduced, I know I want him. No regrets. Outwardly, he acts indifferent, but inwardly, he's yearns for her. He's the perfect blend of tall, brooding, and handsome with a touch of possessiveness. Oh, my Lordt. He has such a commanding aura that makes me giggle. But this isn't about me - AHEM! He's our mysterious, a noble, and reeking of danger, MMC. I think I'm absolutely enamoured by him. He's impeccably dressed and delicious. At first, he's serious/stoic, but gradually, he opens up, showing more of his truer self. My man likes star-gazing... HOW CUTE!
Polly is feisty, and as soon as SHE sights him, even SHE needs to remind herself of the "no mixing work with pleasure," and I'm like, YES GIRL, I KNOW, RIGHT?! ME TOO! HE IS HAWT AS HELL. Anyways, what I admire about her character is how confident, obstinate, and cheeky she is. She's the complete opposite of him, easygoing/expressive. On top of that, her ability to get under his skin is so satisfying. I love her for that.
There's action, a plot-line that is engaging with a slow-burn romance! Zip, the Ai, is such a fun addition! Love him. He adds a lot of his sarcasm and sass. The steam, the crackling energy, the banter is beautifully done. Well written, believable, and not forced. With the forced proximity, you can feel their growing feelings for each other, their connection, and chemistry come through. The spicy scenes are fiery! The character growth is a smooth ascension: I was rooting for them from start to finish! The ending is so sweetly wrapped up with a plot-twist I do not expect. Their telepathic bond gives fated mates vibes, which shows how deeply in tune they are. They're so perfect together. I love this book. The story doesn't drag, well paced, and engaging. I can't wait for what may come next. (Releasing on 5th Jan, 2026! Add it to your TBR!)
First Class Delivery by Lara Roth is the kind of sci-fi romance that grabs you by the flight harness and never lets go. What starts as a routine courier job spirals into a high-stakes chase across the galaxy, complete with corporate assassins, forbidden attraction, and a bond that feels as inevitable as gravity.
Polly is everything you want in a heroine: sharp-tongued, fiercely independent, allergic to authority, and very good at surviving impossible odds. She flies fast, breaks rules faster, and has zero patience for the galaxy’s most uptight alien noble—Lord Rynn Valorian—who just happens to be her unexpected “cargo.” Rynn is control wrapped in silk and steel, a high-born heir carrying secrets powerful enough to get him hunted. He disapproves of Polly’s music, her flying, her attitude… and absolutely cannot stop watching her.
The forced proximity on a tiny ship turns tension into sparks, and sparks into something far more dangerous. As assassins close in and survival becomes a shared goal, Rynn’s rigid composure begins to fracture. Beneath the noble restraint is something ancient, primal, and deeply possessive—and once Polly is in danger, there’s no force in the galaxy that will make him let her go.
What makes this book shine is the balance between action and emotion. The danger is relentless, the pacing tight, but the romance is a slow-burn reward built on trust, loyalty, and choice. Polly doesn’t lose herself to love; she grows into it. Rynn doesn’t just claim—he learns to release duty and become a true partner. Their bond feels earned, layered, and powerful.
If you love grumpy sunshine dynamics, alien–human romance, forced proximity, and devotion forged under fire, First Class Delivery delivers on every level. It’s steamy without losing heart, action-packed without sacrificing character, and deeply satisfying in the way only a well-earned fated bond can be. In a galaxy obsessed with control and legacy, Polly and Rynn choose chaos, loyalty, and each other—and it’s impossible not to root for them.
Thank you to the author and booksprout for this advanced to read.
If you like sci-fi alien romance with likable characters, some spicy scenes, action, adventure, and a lot of heart you might like this book.
What worked:
Bad ass FMC She saves the day multiple times Broom stick up his butt MMC who loosened up dramatically They are very much equals, there’s no sacrifice of submissiveness or making one of them smaller to make the other one more impressive. The author did a really good job with that. Forced proximity Space politics Action and adventure Humor and heart
What didn’t work:
It has terrible continuity issues. I think chunks of this book were cut out without properly correcting and transitioning and I think chunks of it were moved around so much that the author lost track of continuity. Mentions of things that didn’t happen. Discrepant in incidences. Discrepant description of one of the characters. Contradictory sometimes nonsensical content. Not sure there was actual proofing and development done. There are several instances of exact sentences reused chapters later. If I had not liked the characters and the plot I would have DNF this book because the continuity issues and the discrepancies would take me out.
It does bog down in the middle of about 150 to 200 page mark. I became fatigued. But then it picked up with some exhilarating action adventure fun.
It gets a generous three stars-only because it is extremely entertaining despite so many continuity issues and discrepancies. I would reiterate that if I had not liked the plot and the characters so much I could not have finished this book. This book was not advanced ready, and certainly not publish ready. It needs a huge close reading for editing. I do hope the author is able to correct these problems before publishing. Like I said, I really did enjoy the world and the characters, and the plot and I would like it to do well.
This is a story about Polly and Rynn, a human and an alien prince. Polly is the human and a courier pilot for OOPS, ORION Outposts Postal Service. OOPS is your last resort when no one else will take the job, and Polly is one of the best. She is ready for a fast delivery for triple pay, but she gets more than she bargains for. Rynn is our gorgeous alien prince who is the cargo to be delivered. Unfortunately for him most people believe him to be no more than cargo and something to possess and destroy. Polly does not see him this way at all. This story is a non stop joy ride. The attraction between these two is a delight and their need and respect for each other permeates every part of their relationship. Within no time at all Rynn knows that Polly is his mate and as parts of Polly's ship go down and the two of them have to share a small bunk in a tiny space he knows that he will claim her no matter what. Lucky for him Polly has every intention of claiming him as well. They are chased through space by an evil consortium that wants to possess Rynn and use him for his very special parts, but Polly got there first. As I said a non stop ride of love, amazing claiming $ex and danger. Lots of danger and help from found family. Literally everything you need. A wonderful one book per couple series with a HEA that is more than satisfying. Oh yes, did I mention the fantastically snarky AI on Polly's ship? He is the best and could have his own book. This book is fantastic and I cant wait for more. Now I need to read all the of series, all these couples look like so much fun.
I was quite excited to pick this one up, as I very much enjoyed the first book of this series. Overall, there was plenty of space action and adventure, coupled with great chemistry and humor amongst the main characters. Moreover, it was nice to see some of the previous characters from Book 1 make an appearance and play a supporting role to the story, which made it a more meaningful (reading) experience.
Speaking of the characters, Polly was full of spunk, chaotic, and intelligent. I loved how she wasn't always afraid to take risks to overcome space obstacles and always remained true to herself. Meanwhile, Rynn was a complex character. It was worthwhile to see him shed his stoicism, to be free of familial burden, yet uphold his integrity as a person. I also adored how both Polly and Rynn fully accepted each other for who they are. Their chemistry and banter particularly translated well into the spicy scenes. Finally, my favorite side character would have to be Zip. His commentary is absolutely hilarious!
I WOULD RECOMMEND IF 📒
If you're looking for a spicy, alien romance novel featuring themes such as "grumpy and sunshine," "size difference," "touch her and d!e," "he falls first," "forced proximity," "found family," and "HEA," then this is the book for you.
Note: I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A thrilling sci-fi adventure filled with witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and fun energy. Polly and Rynn are perfect for each other. Polly is fiesty, a little bratty, street smart, and chaotic, which is balanced beautifully with Rynn. He is serious, stoic, and a bit uptight. Watching him slowly unravel into his true self instead of what others want him to be was satisfying and entertaining.
Polly sees him as more than just cargo; she sees the male beneath the diplomat and is willing to fight to keep him. Rynn learns to embrace Polly's chaos and to fight for something more; his possessiveness and desire to keep Polly are swoonworthy and endearing. Their connection is undeniable, and the way they work together is fun to watch. I loved how he trusted her to fight and didn't treat her like a damsel in distress.
The plot and action are engaging, and the side characters are so much fun. If you love sassy ship AIs with loud opinions, found family immediately willing to fight a battle against dangerous corporate military elite, or stories with emotionally fulfilling endings, then you will like First Class Delivery.

4.5 stars. This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a fast-paced, action filled, opposites attract, forced proximity, fated mates, humorous sci fi romance between Polly, the female ADHD-coded human space courier lead, and Rynn, the male alien prince who is carrying the cargo which is her next delivery and insists on accompanying it. I chuckled at the banter that his organisation and her chaos evoked. I enjoyed Polly’s determination to execute her mission, regardless of obstacles in her path. I empathised with Rynn’s dismay over not being seen for who he was and enjoyed his growing confidence in his intrinsic value. I enjoyed the steamy intimate scenes. I enjoyed the relationship building under pressure. I enjoyed the chosen/found family that existed in Polly’s fellow couriers. I enjoyed the happiness they felt together and the willingness to literally die for each other. I have not read the rest of the series but found this happily stood alone (though it may be enhanced by prior reading).

First Class Delivery is a fifth book in the You’ve Got Alien Mail series which follows another intrepid carrier on an adventure in deep space. I am definitely falling in love with these OOPS (Orion Outposts Postal Service) workers. MMC Polly West is assuredly about to earn her extra courier pay on this new run with a very different package delivery awaiting in the form of Lord Rynn Valorian. A diplomat who just happens to have some baggage that could get them both killed. Right away they rub each other the wrong way which doesn’t bode well for working together especially with bad guys soon on their tail. Oh that Polly, did I ever love her tickle my fancy character. She was such fun! A romantic SciFi journey that brings about passion, a mate bond, humor, danger, and action in a nicely written narrative with wonderfully crafted characters and excitement galore, as in “touch her and die” because of course the grumpy royal falls first, and their physical union will rival the best super nova in the galaxy. This reader enjoyed every bit of the journey. HEA.

Polly West is the top agent for the Orion Outpost Postal Service (OOPS), though she’s better known for her "reckless" bravery and "chaos incarnate" flying than for following protocol. What was supposed to be a standard escort mission turns lethal when her cargo is revealed to be Lord Rynn Valorian—a high-born alien noble carrying the weight of a mission three generations in the making.
As corporate assassins close in, the pair must rely on their wits and a few loyal friends to survive the gauntlet of deep space. But the closer they get to their destination, the more Rynn’s aristocratic control begins to fracture. To him, Polly was an unsuitable liability; now, she is the only thing that matters.
The friction between her sunshiny defiance and his cold logic has ignited a fire neither can put out. Polly thinks she’s just protecting a passenger, but Rynn has already decided: she isn't just his pilot anymore. She is his, and he will destroy anyone who tries to take her from him.

This entire series has been phenomenal, but this last one had me laughing out loud in delight at the interactions between main characters Polly and Rynn. Rynn is on a very serious mission, which he does not expect to return from. He doesn’t realize the competence, grit and risk-taking that Polly is willing to exert on his behalf.
Zip is this story’s AI and is as hilarious as one could want. Rynn has dermal resonance, bioluminescence, and his enemies want to harvest him for his special attributes. (Yikes). A huge distraction is the fact that Polly is his destined mate. In fact, his genetic code has been rewritten due to exposure to her.
It helps to have powerful friends, as these two try to save a bloodline, spend time together, and try not to die. Intense in all the best ways.
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
Rynn and Polly's story is a fantastic read. Full of action, danger, suspense, and falling in love. Polly is full of chaos and has a sassy spirit that drives Rynn crazy at first. Rynn is actually Lord Rynn Valerian a high born noble. Who is being hunted. Together they navigate through the chaos of his mission and avoid being killed in the process. And the bond that connects them is strong and impossible to ignore and they fall madly in love with each other. It's spectacular especially when Mother and other courier's come to the rescue. Loved that we got to see Suki and her mate in this book as well. Lara does not disappoint. These You've Got Alien Mail stories keep getting better and better. I have enjoyed everyone of them. So yes I highly recommend this book and this series. They are fun, exciting and very much full of love and happy endings.
Polly is a courier and on a job. That's when she meets her newest assignment packages as tall, dark and mysterious. Rynn is on a mission to get a locked box to a far out of the way station. He's stuck on a ship with a human female who defies description. He needs the box opened to save his family. No one had the right biometric frequency. This starts the most unusual journey between two very wildly different beings. Who will win? Who will die? (Just kidding, maybe!) They're stuck in an out of the way part of space and need to fix the engine. The attraction between them is building. Whoo hoo!! The boss is so going to lose her mind! A fantastic story that the reader is drawn into. The suspense is building and emotions are all over the place.

The fifth installment of You’ve Got Alien Mail raises the stakes significantly—and it absolutely delivers. The tension is high from the start, but the pacing stays fast and steady, which works perfectly with the urgency of the plot. The romance itself is truly lovely. The characters are very well developed, and their emotional depth makes the high-risk situation even more engaging. Nothing feels rushed or dragged out; instead, everything unfolds in a way that keeps you turning pages without losing clarity or emotional connection. The Valorian MMC is, quite frankly, a delight to read about and adds a lot of appeal to the story. Overall, this was an incredibly enjoyable installment, and it shows how strong this series has become. I definitely recommend it—especially if you’ve been following the series so far.

This is a page turner! Being an OOOPS operation you know things are going to go sideways. Love the pink hair and extra embellishments on the standard uniform. She was all sass and never liked playing by the rules. He was running not oy for his life but a world. Together they literally lit up the room. The bedroom scenes were hot. I liked how they communicated with each other and there were no games just open raw feelings that once got opened just flowed. It was good to see former characters from previous books and the Robot and AI Zip made things interesting. The wedding song- so very original. There were pages of fighting but necessary for what this story represented. Truth and family. Loved this story and the whole series too.

Winding Up the Stiff I love the OOPS'verse and the characters that inhabit it. For this one we have courier Polly contracted to take a diplomatic package. Unfortunately the packaged is accompanied by a stiff stick in the mud Diplomat - namely Rynn. She names him Lord Serious Pants, along with many others, just to get a rise. They go great together, what with her being Captain Chaos and all!. The book is a fab mix of danger, drama and romance, ably supported by the cheeky ships AI - Zip. The humour makes up the tears I had a points in the book.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and am happily leaving a review.
Polly and Zip, her opinionated AI, have an important delivery run assignment for Orion Outpost Postal Service (OOPS). The package came with its very own Mr. Tall, Dark and Brooding diplomatic attaché, with a horde of corporate assassins in hot pursuit.
Lord Rynn Valorian is everything a high-born noble should be – perfectly controlled, severe, immaculate. The complete opposite of the chaotic, pink-haired captain of the Pink Slip, but something about her makes his control slip.
Gotta love erotic alien romance and non-stop action! I received an advance copy, but my review is honest and voluntary.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was fun, witty, and it had a more unique story line than others of this genre. The pacing of the story was nice, and I thought that it was very well written (a nice amount of description and dialogue). The characters were also very developed, and I loved the female main character, Polly. Even the side characters have their own personalities and quirks.
There are a lot of steamy scenes, but if that's not something you enjoy, you can still enjoy the book without these parts.
All in all, it was a very fun book.

This engaging alien romp adventure "OOPS" story is about our mail courier Polly West and Lord (Rynn) Valorian a highborn with a bounty on his head because he's carrying a bio-locked package, her delivery. The characters were wonderful to read about. You have Polly who's feisty, outrageous, and fly by your seat, and Rynn our stuffy, uptight, and by the book personalities setting the pace. Polly's been afformed by Mother in a meeting about fraternization with their assignments, but Rynn becomes more as they're being chased by corporate assassins. Do they reach Helios? The romance was steamy in this engaging copy I'd received and volunteer to read and review.
Running and Polly were amazing ! He was so strait laced ( until she got to him ) and she’s a fly by the seat of her pants pilot, who doesn’t have a reverent bone in her body ! The storyline takes off and never stops ! There’s so much action and adventure, plus we get to see other OOPS characters from previous books! But the star of this book for me was Rip her Ai computer that keeps things going as well as hilarious ! 5✨’s for an action-comedy I couldn’t put down.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
As someone who only has read this one out of the You've Got Alien Mail series, I can happily say that I will be looking into getting the others as well as looking forward to any others that may come out.
Polly is the kind of person you want to have around for her chaotic fun nature and the banter between her and grump Rynn was such a hoot to read through.
Pretty such Mother should just change professions since she is running the best matchmaking business out in space.

Although this is Book 5 of the You've Got Alien Mail series it can be read as a standalone.
'I’m stuck in a tiny ship with the galaxy’s most uptight alien lord. And I just became his obsession.'
The characters were so very appealing and likeable and perfectly steamy together. Plot was well written and fun. World building continues to excel and impress. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.
Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

This has a bit of a slow start, but picks up speed a few chapters in, and doesn’t let up until almost the end. It has spice, action, adventure, political tension, and romance. The author is clearly paying homage to a certain franchise in this series. I picked up on several references to different movies and shows, but mashed in a unique way that works for this story.
Readers who enjoy Ella Blake, Krista Luna, or Alana Khan will enjoy this series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely LOVED this read. We've got a strong FMC and serious MMC for a Grumpy × Sunshine. We've got a sassy AI companion. We've got amazing banter. And, we've got a rollarcoaster of emotions that'll run through you without preparing you, and I loved every second.
This book had me laughing, crying (in both sadness and relief), stressed, and crazy happy. I can't wait to read more from this author!
“First Class Delivery: A Steamy Scifi Romance” by Lara Roth
-Polly, a sassy OOPS pilot, and Rynn, a brooding alien prince, are thrown together on a dangerous delivery. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
Their slow-burn romance sizzles with witty banter, fiery chemistry, and a telepathic bond. Action-packed space chases and a mischievous AI add humor and excitement throughout.
A thrilling, heartwarming read with a satisfying ending and lots of fun.
Lara Roth's You've Got Alien Mail book 5, First Class Delivery, doesn't disappoint. Polly is a pink haired sassy pilot of a delivery service who accepts a high paying delivery... with a person attached. Rynn is royalty carrying three generations of proof that validates his family's right to rule. A corporation is tracking them, attacking when possible, trying to wipe them out. But love and golden bonds overcome all.
Steamy, fast paced sci-fi alien heat romance. And when I say alien heat I mean serious heat!! When he gets jealous, he melts a wrench with his bare hands! What a hot tamale! She's Captain Chaos and he's Mr.Fancy Pants, and together they will start an intergalactic war. It's not just the biological demand that drives him to her but the fact that she sees him, makes him laugh and wants nothing from him more than a passionate kiss. Not a diplomatic favor, not to increase her social standing, not to impress the high families. And for her - he doesn't care that she's a Fringe orphan with only found family and wild hair, he looks at her like she's the most precious woman in all the galaxy. and goodness help any male that gets between them. OOPS is loosing couriers faster than they can replace them, even lectures and disciplinary videos on the evils of romancing the cargo/passengers isn't helping. Whatever is Mother going to do? I wonder if she's accepting applications?! Please be aware this is an 18+ story with adult story lines including violence and explicit sex scenes. Do not read if this will bother you. Do read if you like A-type personalities, Alpha type males that do take charge *in all ways* and can see yourself easily being in her shoes!
This is another fun and action packed addition to the series. Polly was supposed to just pick up cargo and deliver it but yeah, her cargo was Rynn and he's got relentless baddies after him. Yikes! Expect to get caught up in the action, drama, danger and hot fated mates romance when you dive into this engaging read. I loved seeing these two work together to survive and get their HEA. Good fun!
