This Christmas, the Toy Maker meets his masterpiece.
Jollytown sparkles each December, at the center of it all stands Devon Porter— the Toy Maker who turned Christmas into an empire. But the cheer that made him rich was stolen…from a man named Neno, and from a love he tried to bury.
When Devon returns home for another perfect season, there’s a snow storm and when the clock strikes midnight, a familiar figure dressed in red appears with three gifts. Each gift represents the past, present and future.
Each gift drags him closer to the truth of his cold little heart, that love can damn as easily as greed. By Christmas morning, the only gift left with Devon Porter’s name on it…
DNF at 47%. I could not jive with this at all and it just became frustrating. The pacing was so incredibly quick, leaving a lot of plot points in the dust, that I had trouble keeping focused. I'm going to assume that maybe the author wanted the reader to feel a bit like our lead did, being a bit disoriented and such, but it didn't work. And that very likely wasn't the case, either. I don't think it was a bad concept and the writing itself wasn't half bad, but it needed to be retooled quite a bit to bring it all together coherently.
A dark, deliciously erotic twist on A Christmas Carol, this novella drags the classic tale into a modern world of corporate greed and shadowed Gothic undertones, exposing the brutal truth of what Christmas is and what it most definitely is not. Devon Porter, the infamous “Toy King” of Jolly Town, has built an empire on cold ambition, earning a reputation as a ruthless Scrooge who sacrifices loyalty, love, and even the people closest to him like the one he lost, Neno, all in pursuit of power. But when a haunting figure from his past arrives one night bearing three ominous gifts symbolizing the past, present, and future, Devon is forced to confront everything he once had, everything he destroyed, and everything he’s destined to become. Yet for a man whose heart has calcified into ice, regret is a luxury he refuses to feel, and the void carved by greed may be the very grave he dug with his own hands. Luna delivers once again. A chilling, seductive tale of a soul spiraling toward darkness and the question that lingers: can it still be saved? Highly recommended.
This feisty MM retelling of a Christmas carol is the perfect short novella to get you in the holiday mood. This is not an HEA , more of a slow mind game. This diabolically twisted candy cane will satisfy that sugar fix if you are a lover of erotic horror like myself. Mind the TW, Devon and Neno each play their role with a wicked flair. There is no reprieve from the holiday spirits here.
I was given an advanced copy for an honest review.
what is real and what is not? let me tell you.. it does throw you through a purgatory loop🥹
it's been a while since i've actually hit a review up late and i'm all honesty i've re-read this like 4x since i got it hehe... boy oh boy where do i start with this one!
MM,christmas theme, gothic academia type vibe and a depraved christmas carol retelling.. are you intrigued? you should be that's just the tip (😏) of the iceberg!
we follow devon porter, the toy king, and we learn that he essentially owns like a cool toy store passed down from generations and he is now working in it! passing the baton you know.. & basically have ya'll ever seen scrooge and marley? think scrooge x bad santa..
ghosts of past, present and future (maybe its multiple maybe it isn't hehe) but this one has been living rent free ever since i read it,i feel like you don't get many MM stories within themes (like christmas) & when luna started writing this.. im telling you,we ATE IT UP. let me do my ratings so i can explain🙂↔️
characters?? 5⭐️ devon & neno are possibly one of my favourite pairings we have had from luna, but in a different way,we have the push & pull but it's more like going crazy and fucking throughout HEHE (shh save it for the spice) but on a serious note, devon is a strong alpha male,he is a petitent for detail and everybody doing as their told, alpha hole if you will.. he takes a lot of breaking put it that way, then we have our other MMC,neno, he is one of mr porter (that's devon btw) employees but also is more of a tormentor,he is forever taunting devon & his character honestly is one of my favourite on the banter front,he's a smart ass & has such quick wit! they push and pull and overtime the truth of their relationship shows...
plot?? 5⭐️ as always luna never fails to deliver plot wise, she can write short stories with such detail and pack so much of your story into it! the plot is interlaced to mimic a christmas carol retelling if that makes sense? it is NOT a direct comparison but is inspired by and honestly i usually hate retelling but this was different,it is so good! from page 1 to page 60 you have the bulk of the story, from understanding devon and why he is the way he is too understanding neno and his part in all of this! i absolutely loved the entire plot line and honestly it made me wanna watch scrooge & marley now HEHEHEHE
spice?? 🌶️🌶️🌶️ she is spicy but not uber spicy,i prefer it this way and i think it's important that it's primarily story WITH spice not a spicy story? you know what i mean i think! the spice that is in there though,it has you on your toes the entire time and like the and i OOP kinda spice! we love most all MM spice,it isn't romantic,it is more harsh, tougher, which WORKS! and of course it is written beautifully🥹
overall?? 5⭐️ loved devon and neno! the constant questions of what was real and what wasn't had me truly in a loop. just like devon! the little nods of suspense interlaced throughout it actually gives you goosebumps!! another beautiful read created by luna & another easy 5⭐️ like it would be anything less🥹
Omggggg, who knew I need a dark and twisted Christmas Carol retelling?! Ummmm, Luna K Wicked did and she nailed it with this book.
We get a dark and twisted retelling of the story which involves Devon, The Toy King, and his scorned ex lover who is back for revenge, Neno. Corporate greed has taken ahold of Devon and Neno has come back to show him the Past, Present, and Future… but it has some smutty and dark twists to it.
If you are looking for a new Christmas read that is dark, has psychological twists, and is smutty, then you have to add this quick read to your list! I couldn’t get enough of it and it’s a must for this holiday season.
I will say, I had some questions… why did he have his gf catch and film him and Neno?
An interesting twist on Scrooge - Devon was head honcho at his family’s toy company.
He hates Christmas after his parents pass in a tragic accident and doesn’t give any of his employees holiday time - just drives them into the ground with work.
He blackmails people to get what he wants - including the love of his life - you have to read to find out what happens, I don’t want to spoil it but payback is a b.
It definitely wasn’t boring but it kind of makes you sad knowing there are people out there that are so miserable, they thrive off making others miserable to get what they want due to their pain. Quick to read and leaves you questioning if what happened really happened 😂 Thank you Luna for the early read! All opinions are my own!
If you’re in the mood for a quick little MM Christmas horror novella, look no further! This was so easy to binge and I loved the ghost of christmas past/present/future and all the creepy vibes! It’s twisted with mind games and it is not a romance, so check your TW if you need to!
What to expect: 🎄Christmas horror 🩸Purgatory loop 🎄Ghost of Christmas Past / Present / Future retelling 🩸Morally gray 🎄Corporate greed as damnation 🩸Lovers to enemies / revenge lover 🎄Power reversal 🩸Symbolic punishment 🎄Psychological descent 🩸Home invasion twist
Thank you to Luna K. Wicked for letting me read/review an ARC.
He better watch out is a MM christmas carol retelling/erotic horror.
I’ve always loved the christmas carol growing up, so i was so excited when i received this ARC. Something about a Scrooge being put in his place and being shown how much of a jerk he truly is. Lmao.
A super quick spicy read to add to your holiday tbr this season.
He Better Watch Out by Luna K. Wicked is an MM Christmas erotic horror novella that was one wild read! It's a more dark and twisted retelling of A Christmas Carol without a particularly happy ending. It got a 3 out of 5 stars from me! The book was short and.. well, I wouldn't say sweet, but I was easily able to read it in one sitting!
One thing that I will say is that Wicked did a fantastic job bringing light to corporate greed/greed in general. It can genuinely change people if they let it overcome them, and this was a good example of that!
What will Devon Porter, local Scrooge and the man on top of the toy empire, do when Neno, a ghost from his past (literally) shows up when he least expects it? Find out in He Better Watch Out!
This was so dang fun, chaotic, fcked up, & hot and heavy.😂 For my first holiday read of the season, we’re off to a stellar start - I’ve been craving a story like this. He Better Watch Out is a MM Christmas erotic horror, a fantastic and twisted corporate/purgatory retelling of a Christmas Carol. It’s an eerily delicious quick read that’ll keep you sucked in going “wtf” the whole time.
Devon was such a wild MC, like what a piece of shit.😂 I felt sorry for the dude at some points, though, I won’t even lie - even though he definitely doesn’t deserve any sympathy. He certainly earned and deserved the nickname Scrooge - but watching him get his karma through his gifts of the past, present, and future handed to him by a ghost he knows all too well was such an enjoyable time. Neno had every right not to hold back.😂💅🏻
All in all this was super enjoyable from start to finish & I completed it in just a few hours. I promise you’ll want to add this hauntingly good time to your holiday tbr.🎅
I am very greatful to have been chosen to receive a ARC for this book.
While it wasn’t a happily ever after I am good with that. It just didn’t seam to have an ending it just kind of stopped. There really wasn't an ending.
A quick review for a quick, horrifically festive little novella. I ate 'He Better Watch Out' up so fast, finishing it in one sitting, and I was not disappointed! Taking inspiration from one of my favorite holiday tales, 'A Christmas Carol', Luna has woven a story of corporate greed, the lengths some will go to in order to fill their coffers, madness, personal purgatory and has laced it with very a graphic MM story of lost love, regret and revenge.
We follow Devon Porter, our MMC, as he returns home for the holidays and ends up snowed in and alone, at a cabin in the woods. But is he really alone? Or are the demons of his past and mind finally acting out their revenge? By the time I was finished, I wasn't sure if I'd just read this mans descent into madness, witnessed the loop of his own personal purgatory or his heavy, very much real and deserved dose of karma. Which I honestly love. When an author leaves me with more questions and reasons for discussion, I'm at both my happiest and most frustrated. 😂 Because I love a book that sticks with me after I've read it, and 'HBWO' definitely has! If you enjoy wintery tales with...
... then I think this might be the right read for you, this holiday season. That said, this IS erotic horror, so be sure to check out the trigger warning and content lists before diving in. No book is worth putting your mental health at risk!
I really enjoyed this steamy little psychological, Christmas horror story. There wasn't a lot of spice, but what there was, was very steamy and very well written. I've found I'm a big sucker for MM romance and spice. And while this specific book wasn't a romance, it was definitely steamy, and I'll be rating it a very hot 4 outta 5 🌶️'s. As far as the horror side of the story goes, it was only mildly bloody but very psychologically horrific, so no 🩸 rating for this one, as there just wasn't enough to rate, in my opinion. But I will be giving it 5 outta 5 🧠's for the psychological horror. And finally an overall 4.5 outta 5 ⭐'s. If you find yourself picking up a copy of 'He Better Watch Out' because of this review I hope you'll stop back after you've finished reading and drop a comment down ⬇️ below ⬇️ telling me what your thoughts were!! Happy reading and Happy Horrific Holidays!!
I don’t even know how to properly explain what He Better Watch Out did to me, because this wasn’t just a book — it was an experience. Dark, erotic, psychological, emotionally sharp, and deliciously unhinged in the best possible way. Luna K Wicked took a twisted Christmas Carol retelling and turned it into something haunting, intimate, and completely unforgettable.
This story crawls under your skin slowly… and then refuses to leave.
The power dynamics? Immaculate. The punishment-as-intimacy? Devastatingly hot. The emotional tension? Suffocating in the best way.
Every gift cuts deeper than the last — not just physically, but emotionally. The way the past, present, and future are woven into Devon’s reckoning is brutal and brilliant. There’s no escape from the consequences here, and watching him unravel piece by piece while control shifts and desire sharpens was everything.
And Neno… my god. The presence. The dominance. The calculated cruelty laced with intimacy. Every scene crackled with tension, and every interaction felt intentional, dangerous, and deeply personal. This is not romance meant to be soft — it’s meant to hurt, to provoke, to consume. And it absolutely does.
What truly sets this book apart is how smart it is. The psychological depth, the emotional punishment, the way love and power blur into something dark and intoxicating — it’s written with such precision. Nothing feels gratuitous. Everything has purpose. Every moment matters.
This is a story for readers who like their romance: 🩸 morally tangled 🎄 twisted and dark 🔥 erotic with teeth 🖤 emotionally sharp 😈 and just a little feral
If you want a cozy Christmas romance — this is not it. If you want a book that grips your throat, plays with your expectations, and leaves you staring at the wall afterward — He Better Watch Out is unmissable.
I’m still thinking about it. I’m still obsessed. And honestly? I don’t want to recover.
Thank you to Luna K Wicked for creating something so bold, disturbing, and addictive. This book owns a permanent space in my brain.
A wickedly, dark retelling of a classic Christmas tale, and I am here for it! Psychological descent-check, purgatory loop- check, hot visitor bringing presents-check, and of course Christmas spice-check and check. Not every Christmas story needs to be wrapped up in a pretty bow, and He Better Watch out delivers that in spades! Luna has done it again with this Christmas horror Novella.
Devon Porter is the Toy King, with a one-track mind for success and a heart that was frozen long ago. This will be like no other Christmas when he receives the visit of a lifetime. I loved the way Devon is portrayed in this book. He knows exactly who he is and has absolutely no apologies for it. Normally a morally grey protagonist is a secret “love him” type of character, but throughout the story I had very little sympathy for who he is. Although the emotion of empathy for who he could have been was definitely present. He is attractive, driven, and successful and what he lacks in compassion he will pay for in his screams.
Neno, a lover turned enemy, has been away too long and he has come to play with the toy king. Revenge is on his list and will be delivered just in time for Christmas. Unlike Devon there is sympathy for him and what has happened and I thoroughly enjoyed the ways he executes his revenge. The dynamic between these two characters is complex, intense, and kept me completely captivated.
So much happened in this quick read, while you may know the original story the twists of this version kept me from putting the book down! I love reading a psychologically dark tale involving my favorite holiday, it truly is the best of both worlds for me. If you are looking for a different type of Christmas story to warm you on a chilly night, this one is the one for you!
This novella was definitely well outside of my comfort zone; MM erotic horror is a genre I do not have much experience in. Having recently listened to and been completely immersed in Luna K. Wicked’s recent audio release of “Painter’s Obsession”, I wanted to give another work of hers a try.
“He Better Watch Out” is a “Christmas Carol” retelling with twist after twist. Devon is in charge of the family business of his deceased parents. It’s a lucrative toy company that Devon lives very comfortably off of while his employees are not given the same grace. On Christmas Eve he is visited by someone important from his past, a lover, who is determined to make him see the errors of his ways.
The writing of this story felt horrifyingly creepy — with elements of sound coming in to juxtapose any semblance of “peace” brought on a quiet, snowy Christmas Eve. The horrors start soon after Devon thinks he is all settled in for a satisfyingly quiet night at his cabin.
What Luna is able to do in this short, yet jam-packed story, is to use the characterization of Scrooge to fill in Devon’s “background” while introducing Neno (his former lover) as the ghost of Christmas past, present and future. Unlike the spirits we are familiar with, Neno came back into Devon’s world with a pitch-black plan of vengeance. He uses pain and pleasure to stir up an intensely scary and spicy night of torture.
The novella is full of sensory overload, making the anxiety feel terrifying and imminent. There is definitely space in the literary world for MM erotic horror and this was a a palette scraping — check your trigger warnings and then dive in.
He Better Watch Out is—honestly?—one of the most wickedly inventive Christmas Carol retellings I’ve ever stumbled into. Picture holiday cheer, except Luna K. Wicked grabs it by the lapels, guts it with a silver letter opener, and hands you something sharp, eerie, and (somehow) still tender. Yes, I was hooked.
Devon Porter is the Toy Maker, and he’s built this frosty, tinsel-covered empire out of pure greed—and watching that whole thing unravel? Narrative candy. The moment the storm rolls in and midnight hits, the story kind of slides sideways into haunting, beautifully weird territory. And then there’s Neno: draped in red, carrying way too many buried memories, and making every chapter feel like a confession booth wrapped in ribbon. I could not look away.
The three gifts Devon gets? Each one is basically a little time bomb, dragging him deeper into the truth he’s tried so hard to bury: the love he betrayed, the man he left behind, and the ambition that’s basically hollowed him out. The whole vibe is velvet-dread-meets-fairy-lights, and I genuinely winced (in a good way) at some of the emotional gut-punches.
Neno is magnetic in that “ghost of your biggest mistake” way, and the slow reveal of what he and Devon used to be? Easily the most compelling, aching part of the book for me. Their dynamic is all ache and tension and tenderness and, honestly, a bit of threat. It’s gothic romance tangled up in corporate rot, and I ate it up.
It’s eerie. It’s queer. It’s intimate as hell. And it’s a holiday treat for anyone craving something a little dark and a lot different.
Solid 4 stars—and now I’ll never look at Christmas lights the same way again. 🎄🖤
A delightful, dark, erotic retelling of A Christmas Carol. Set in a modern setting of Corporate greed but with a sinister Gothic feel, this novella punches through to what the heart of Christmas is all about….and all the things it isn’t.
Devon Porter is known as “The Toy King” the owner of Porter Toys in his hometown of Jolly Town. Having a reputation as a “Scrooge” who puts business profit over his employees needs and selfishly sacrificing people who love him for personal fortune and power, nothing has ever made Devon Porter stop…..not even losing the love of his life, Neno.
Until one night, he’s visited by a face from his past, holding 3 gifts…..they represent past, present and future.
A look through the lens of what he had, who he betrayed and the life he could have lived…but a man like Devon is set in his ways and he doesn’t live with regrets, his heart is an icebox and while greed and power can leave you cold, the love you knew and betrayed, can leave you in the darkest, coldest hole of your own creation…..
Luna never disappoints, her stories always hit the mark and this retelling is a chilling tale of a soul lost….but can it be saved?
A Spicy Dark Romance Christmassy retelling inspired by A Christmas Carol.
Spice level 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
In the immortal words of Hazel Black - “To everyone that gives a book a bad rating for being triggered by something listed in the trigger warnings… you're a dingbat.” So please be mindful of the books you read and their triggers, this book has a delightful smut menu which all play a big part in building the story and proving context to the storyline.
The book follows a stuck up, self centred CEO of a Toy Factory over the Christmas period. The joy of building toys for children has been lost amongst the inflating profit margins and company revenue, so Devon Porter is visited by the Ghost-of-a-Boyfriend-Past to show him his Past / Present / Future and to determine whether he’s Naughty or Nice. He travels aided by the three boxes of Past, Present and Future to gain perspective on the choices he’s made.
Luna writes morally black flawed characters so well that you can easily understand how and why each character acts the way they do. The boyfriends in her books are always sweet and caring for the MMC (in an unhealthy way) but never get their HEA due to the sins of the MMC.
Can’t wait to read more of Luna’a writing!

He Better Watch Out is a razor-sharp blend of gothic dread and corporate horror, wrapped around an MM story line that crackles with tension. Luna K. Wicked delivers a story where workplace politics turn monstrous, fluorescent-lit hallways feel haunted, and desire tangles dangerously with fear. It’s unsettling in the best way—slow creeping chills rather than jump scares, with that classic gothic weight pressing on every scene.
The dynamic between the leads is electric: charged, wary, a little obsessive, and perfectly suited for a horror-leaning romance. Their chemistry adds depth to the bleak atmosphere and gives the dark moments a human pulse. The corporate setting itself becomes a character—cold, hungry, and hiding secrets behind every locked door.
If anything, some moments felt so fast and frantic that I wished for a breath or two more of development—but the intensity certainly keeps the pages flying.
Bold, eerie, and thrillingly queer, this book is a perfect pick for anyone who loves their horror with a side of dark seduction. 🖤📂💀
He Better Watch Out, written by Luna K. Wicked, is a dark spin on the classic A Christmas Carol. This horrifying spin will remind you to do good deeds all year long to try to prevent you from being on the Naughty List.
Welcome to Jollytown - home of Porter Toys and the Toy Maker himself, Devon Porter. Devon Porter has inherited his toy empire from his parents and is hellbent on being rich and powerful on the backs of those who create holiday cheer on the assembly line. Devon’s greed and cold heart earn him a visit from a ghost from his past that comes with three gifts - past, present, and future. Will Devon learn the true meaning of Christmas, or is his cold heart too far gone?
I loved Luna’s ruthless version of Scrooge and his total lack of empathy. This is a spicy and seductive MM retelling that highlights how heartless and greedy corporate empires have become. For a novella under a hundred pages, so much was packed into this story. A healthy reminder not to be an A-hole! Haha.
Thanks to Luna K. Wicked for gifting me an eARC of He Better Watch Out. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
He Better Watch Out is dark, cruel, and intentionally uncomfortable — and it knows exactly what it’s doing.
This is MM gothic erotic horror, not romance. There’s no redemption arc, no emotional safety net, and no happily-ever-after waiting at the end. The story leans fully into punishment over pleasure, using explicit scenes as tools of psychological horror rather than titillation. It’s unsettling, deliberate, and often hard to sit with — which feels entirely intentional.
The Christmas setting adds an extra layer of wrongness that works incredibly well. Familiar holiday imagery twisted into something cold and vindictive makes the descent feel sharper, darker, and more claustrophobic. The corporate horror elements and villain POV only amplify the discomfort.
Spice is present and explicit, but it’s not romantic or comforting — it’s meant to blur lines and unsettle. If you’re looking for love, healing, or redemption, this is not the book for you. If you’re looking for a festive horror story with teeth that commits fully to its themes, this delivers.
Unapologetic, disturbing, and very clear about what it is.
He Better Watch Out is a dark, twisted Christmas nightmare that leans fully into horror, guilt, and obsession. This is not a cozy holiday tale. It is sharp, unsettling, and drenched in regret. Devon Porter is a fascinatingly cold protagonist, a man who built an empire on stolen joy, only to be dragged back into the truth he buried. The snowstorm setting and midnight visitation create a constant sense of dread that never lets up.
The structure of the story, built around gifts tied to the past, present, and future, works beautifully to peel Devon apart layer by layer. Each reveal feels intentional and cruel in the best way, forcing him to confront love, greed, and the damage he caused in the name of success. Neno’s presence lingers like a ghost even before he fully appears, making every interaction feel loaded and tense.
This book feels like a depraved Christmas Carol retelling with teeth. Dark, symbolic, and emotionally uncomfortable, it is perfect for readers who like their holiday reads bloody, haunting, and unapologetically cruel. If you enjoy horror that punishes its characters and makes you sit with the consequences, this one delivers.
That was a fun, smutty, twisted version of ghosts of Christmas past!! The MMC, Devon Porter, lost all his reason to love Christmas when not only his parents die, but someone he loved dies, because Devon chose money and power instead. When Neno, his lover, comes back as his ghost of Christmas to show him the error of his ways, he’s forced to relive some his more 💩 choices!! To say he’s not a great guy is an understatement!! Throw in a little spice and you get a smutty holiday ghost story!
I gave it 4 stars because there were some unanswered questions for me… like why did Devon film a sexual encounter with Neno? Why did Devon have his “girlfriend” catch him having sex with Neno and it sound like they were gonna kill him?? There were a couple things that I felt needed some explanation!! I also really wish this book would have been longer, it really was so good, I wish there was more of it!
I still 💯 recommend reading it for a dark holiday tale just remember it’s not really a dark romance, there is no HEA!!

Listen, Besties… "He Better Watch Out" is the kind of MM Erotic Gothic Horror that grabs you by the throat and drags you straight into the blizzard with it... and I was LOVING IT! Devon Porter, our morally grey Toy Maker king, struts back into Jollytown thinking he’s untouchable… until a certain vengeful someone in red shows up at midnight with three gifts that feel more like curses than Christmas cheer.
This isn’t a romance. There’s no cozy cocoa, no mistletoe kisses. Just judgment, punishment, and the slow, delicious unraveling of a man who built an empire out of greed and stolen love. The purgatory loop? The home invasion twist? The symbolic punishments? BESTIES... my Kindle was overheating.
If you want festive fluff, run. But if you want depravity wrapped in tinsel and tied with a revenge bow? Devon’s descent is your Christmas treat.
My Ratings: ⭐ 4.5/5 ▪︎ 🥵 3/5

An erotic twist on a Christmas carol! I loved it! A Christmas novella. A twisted slow mond game mind game with a holiday erotic ness keeping me in a holiday mood. Set in a modern world of corporate, greed and shadowed Gothic undertones, exposing the brutal truth of what Christmas is and what it is not. Devon Porter, the "Toy King" of Jolly Town, has built an empire on cold ambition, earning a reputation as a ruthless Scrooge who sacrifices loyalty, love, and even the people closest to him like, Neno, all in the hunger of chasing power. But when a haunting figure from his past arrives one night bearing three gifts symbolizing his past, present, and future, Devon is forced to confront everything he once had, everything and everyone hes destroyed, and everything he's destined to become. Yet for a man whose heart has turned to ice, he holds onto what he’s become. I love Lunas writing styleand writes A dark, chilling, seductive twisted tale of a soul losing its way headed down dark path toward darkness. A soul with slight hope of finding its way back to life I highly recommend this read I love a Christmas carol and with all that dark spice! Gah I’ve been in a dark place and these books are getting me through this dark time in my life rn!
He Better Watch Out is an absolute delight for anyone craving a dark twist on the holiday season. This Christmas horror novella delivers an atmosphere that’s wonderfully chilling—shadowy, suspenseful, and laced with the eerie presence of a ghost from the past. The vibes are immaculate: festive, yet haunting in all the best ways.
The storyline is engaging with just the right touch of spice woven into the tension. The characters feel vivid and well-crafted, grounding the supernatural elements with emotional weight. Luna K. Wicked’s writing pulls you in from the start and doesn’t let go until the final, unsettling moment.
If you’re looking for a dark, spine-tingling Christmas tale that refuses to promise a happily-ever-after, this is one I wholeheartedly recommend. It’s short, intense, and so much fun. Perfect for readers who love their holiday stories with a sinister edge.
I’m a sucker for anything MM but make it an erotic horror AND it’s a Scrooge retelling? Yep. This spooky girl is ready for Christmas now. Luna never disappoints.
He Better Watch Out is a true mind fuck with delicious spice. Our MMC Devon may be gorgeous but he’s a true narcissist who has fell victim to corporate greed. Stomping his way on anything and everything to make sure HE has truly “made” it. Hmmm you reap what you sow Devon. 😳😅
For under 100 pages, He Better Watch out brings a darker nsfw edition of Scrooge with a revenge lover, corporate greed and a whole lot of “what the fucks” 😅
The spice was perfectly placed in He Better Watch Out and whew when the spice hits it hits! I love a good hate fucking 😈
This is a fun erotic horror that’s perfect for the holiday season when you want something quick, dark and smutty. A novella that has a great plot and delicious spice. I had a blast with this and definitely will make this a yearly holiday read.
