I never know what to expect when I start a new Alyson Archer book, and I love her for that. This novella was unhinged - in a smutty, kinky, & romantic way.
Nick is literally Santa Clause. And he's on the hunt for his fated mate, a Winter Maiden he's been looking for for a long, long time. And guess what? He finally found her. Holly is his mate, and they're attracted to each other instantly which leads to a very... wild, milky ride.
I loved this novella! It was unexpected but in a fabulous way. It's a quick, dirty read - and perfect for the holiday season! ;)

Rating book 1 and 2 back to back. This is more of a 2.25 so 2 stars.
Hated this cover. It's like you take two different items, a shirtless dude, then super impose him on the prominent, cutey milk and cookies theme.
I liked this storyline better than book 1. The h in this one wasn't as stuck in her inner monologue like the one in book 1.
When it came to the smut the initial sex scene was hot, then the rest were a lot of repetition in terms of actions, hands going where and also in the dirty talk. And this includes upto the extended epilogue.
Then she facilitates the magic but doesn't actually have any magic per say. Like the most she did was make a few snowflakes glow while she was dependent on Santa basically snow globbing/finger snapping her anywhere.

Alyson….you filthy woman! This book was kink galore and so horny I found myself hoping for a white Christmas and I mean a milky Christmas…wait that sounds bad both way, but just know I wanted a Nick under my tree to ravage me too!
After reading Spice I was kinda hoping for more of the unhinged Magic side Alyson has brought to life and wooh did she deliver!
And let’s be honest, even if the plot was actually interesting, I wasn’t there for it, I cared for it, but I showed up mainly for the fact that milk was the title and I just KNEW what this novella was going to give me.
Alyson, you teach me new things about myself and I love that…also, if my mom sees this…no she didn’t!

The reveal that Santa is actually the Fae King of Winter instantly grounded the magic for me and made everything else click. The lore felt thoughtful rather than gimmicky, and I loved how Holly’s presence isn’t just romantic, she actively strengthens both Santa and the Winter Kingdom itself.
I’m a sucker for fated mates, and this was a fun, festive spin on the trope. The idea that Nick has been waiting decades for the one person meant for him added a surprising emotional weight, and I appreciated that the story explored themes of duty, purpose, and vulnerability alongside the romance. Despite the instalove setup, the characters were given space to reckon with what their bond actually means.
Another standout for me was Nick’s emphasis on consent. He makes sure Holly fully understands her role, her choice, and her connection to him before anything is decided, which added a layer of respect and care that I really appreciated.
While some of the dirty talk became a bit repetitive for my taste, and the "little one" nickname didn’t quite work for me, those were minor nitpicks in an otherwise delightful reading experience. Overall, this novella balances festive spirit, imaginative fantasy, and unapologetic spice in a way that feels both cozy and delightfully unhinged.

First of all, when I heard what Alyson was doing and how she came up with the idea, I was so excited to read it. The premise of Santa needing his mate’s milk couldn’t be more fun 🙃
There was just enough lore woven throughout that it felt believable, while still being a little bit unhinged and over-the-top 😜
Honestly, I’m not much for a lactation kink - so much so that when I was nursing, my husband was not allowed anywhere near that part of my body, much to his dismay 😆 And besides the clothes getting wet all the time and the mess, it totally worked here. Somehow she made it sexy 🤷♀️
Again, consent and choice is key, even when fated mates are involved. The rituals and magical ceremonies were super fun and I cannot wait for the bonus epilogue!

Omg, the way I loved this read! It’s sex magic, it’s instalove, it is somehow both the hottest and most adorable read, and it takes something that is a kink not everybody has, that’s right milk straight from its source, and turns it into a really freaking well done novella that not only makes you wonder if you might have your own little milk kink but also offers up just enough plot you’re totally into it, and the kind of happily ever after that is totally fairytale worthy. I love that it spins Christmas and Santa and all the north pole magic into something completely new and unexpected, it has a really great romantic vibe through the whole thing that makes it feel good to read, and honestly there is something about the magic of Christmas depending on the milk production of Santa’s wife that hits in all the right ways. An absolutely fantastic read from Alyson Archer!

I don’t know what is happening with @AlysonArcher this year, but I have read so many releases from her and they are all just hitting the exact way I want. After I read #Spice this fall, I knew that I was in for a treat with this magical holiday novella. I love that she wanted to branch into the fantasy / magical realm, and this unhinged holiday series is the most perfect way to do it. I love that he is our Winter Fae King and that he is looking for that fated mate to help save the magic of Christmas. The chemistry between these two was on point – and let’s just say, the kinks here were oh so good. Is this for everyone? No. But did I *devour* this one? Yes, yes I did. I’ll take ten more, please. @AlysonArcher, whatever you are doing right now to bust out these bangers, don’t stop. You’ve struck gold.

This short story is dual POV, well written, and a spicy, Christmas, age gap, contemporary fantasy, erotic romance between Santa/Nick, the male winter fae king lead, and his fated mate, female human-presenting baker, Holly. I enjoyed Holly’s genuine belief in Santa prior to the story commencement, and her kindness and compassion. I enjoyed Nick’s joy at finding Holly, and his informed consent focus. I enjoyed the mutual lactation focus and enjoyment (this is one of my favourite kinks). I enjoyed the spicy intimate scenes that were integral to the storyline.

I never knew i would look at Santa differently but boy does this book i normally say novellas are short and sweet but this one is definitely a short and spicy.
Take everything you like about Santa flip it on its head and make him fae oh and he has a fated mate who is our dear bakery owner holly. Who becomes his milkmaid as that the effect he has on her as his mate.
i wasn't sure what i was expecting when i went into this but i have no regrets though i may struggle to look at any Santa the same way as before.

This is a short Christmas milking kink book. Santa wanted more than milk and a cookie for Christmas. I enjoyed reading about Santa's mating ritual. It was very consensual. Asking and letting her process before she saved his magic. I love that he gave options and not just you are now my fated mate end of story. That was sweet. Like I said, yes, this is the milk kink, so if you don't like it, skip it.

Just a little off the beaten path of a typical Christmas story. Read the blurb and couldn’t put it down. That said this was a steamy, spicy read. Santa is looking for his fated mate, a Winter Maiden. Holly owns a bakery and for a true believer the holidays are her favorite time. Waiting for the rent-a-Santa to show up for “Cookies with Santa” strange things start happening. Fun read.

If you like naughty and nice you will enjoy Milk by Alyson Archer. To continue his legacy Nick needs to find his fated mate and time is running out fast. Fortunately for him, his mate Holly is finally found. Holly owns her own bakery and when she hires Santa she gets more than ever expected. The chemistry between them was off the charts hot. This is insta love at his steamiest. Definitely recommend.

I was looking for a book that was heavy on the lact kink, and this one sure delivered on that. However, even for someone who loves to read it, this was just about at the point of too much. It was basically an instalusty novella, so not a lot of room for too much plot, but I did need a bit more story outside of them getting busy. But it was good for a quick holiday read, and as I said, is heavy on what you'd expect based on the title.
