This is when the legacy, legends and responsibilities have defined your entire life.
I was born to fulfill my family's birthright, to become the town's resident mortician. To take care of the spirits before the grave keeper brings them back to us. But sometimes a girl wonders, who are you outside of your life's purpose?
And days before my full moon ceremony, I wondered and wandered into a ghost dick of my own.
My name is Harper Hayes and this is my story.
My journey.
And possibly my own episode of Dateline.
Welcome to Port Canyon
*This is a Paranormal Dark Romance with Dark Humor
Kinsley Kincaid is a long time fan of psychotic dark book boyfriends. She does not limit it to just Dark Romance but Taboo as well, yes the scandal!
She enjoys pushing boundaries, so don’t be surprised when you see this also reflected in her work. Be sure to stalk her on her socials and reader group shared with Isla Gray; Tainted N Taboo.
I had such high expectations for this one I was seriously so siked up for this but this didn’t hit at all Believe me I wanted to love this book so much as i love Port Canyon so much but this was not it for me Harper was such a mysterious quirky character but in this one I didn’t find her very interesting like in the last book maybe it’s my fault for building up my own expectations But I didn’t hate it cause it had its fun moments and crazy stuffs that includes Ghosts And I had a guess who Daddy would be and I was right He was cute and I liked how he adored Harper but their relationship was so quick I felt nothing no tension no chemistry they met and bang and in love There was few lines I had to cringe so hard But I still liked the book very much it was so funny Merrick was the highlight will always love that man Also the epilogue lol it was is hilarious Merrick calming down for Fallon yas still my No.1 couple in the series Also Hails is so cute she’s Merrick’s daughter through and through!
Harper is my girl!! Quirky, loves Dateline, and an overthinker, we might just be twins. I just finished Ghost Dick last night, so I had no idea what this world was about. I was thrust in and immediately went to town on both of these books. Kinsley's writing absolutely kills me every time. I haven't laughed this hard reading a book in forever! Then we have an age gap with a man bun?! Sign my name in blood, I AM IN!! The way these characters (un)live to taunt one another is everything. I wish I had a friend group like this to keep me on my toes. If you haven't entered Port Canyon, you most definitely should but only in October. Unless you plan on staying for a while or... eternity.
I wish I could find the words for HOW FUN this book was???? like a literal 5 star fun time.
Mortician x ????? - The MMC in this book was unexpected but so welcomed, because the perfect dynamic for this storyline. This felt so much more plot-driven than book 1 GHost dick but also spicy at the same time! We had the return of Fallon and Merrick as lovable side characters!
My non-spoiler highlights - Last sentance before the epilogue - AND THE EPILOGUE - Basement 'sessions' that we will not name were a laugh
But truly, the humour in this book, elite.
Thank you Kinsley for an eARC of this, truly cannot wait for my preorder to arrive now - yay
OUT TODAY! 02/13 Happy Friday the 13th! Ebook available on the author’s website. Paperback available on Amazon.
OMG! What a good time I had with this read! It was definitely entertaining and I loved everyone’s humor and banter ! I loved getting to know more about Harper and her DADDY! They are meant to be for sure.
The spice was great! I will never forget the meaning of Captain Hook for sure lmao
It’s taboo, paranormal, entertaining and it’s short but with spice and plot!
Another wild ride! Buckle up again, but this time it's Harper! I devoured this in 2 hours because why was this soo good! Ms. Kinsley will always be an auto read for me! Spicy, funny, twisted and the perfect amount of dark! 🖤
I didn't think much could top Ghost Dick and Merrick but Harper is a hoot and her and Merrick are hilarious! I can't wait for you to find out who she's f*cking!! 👀🤫🤫
Much like Ghost, characters breaking the 4th wall? *chefs kiss*
Daddy came to save Harper when she tried to get herself run over resulting in the beginning of her healing We got to see behind Harpers quirky bubbly mask and she flourished beautifully throughout
Harper is horny and HILARIOUS Daddy is equally as horny but oh so sweet to our Harper girl
I loved seeing how much Harper and Fallons friendship had grown
I loved seeing old characters and meeting sassy baby Hails Merrick’s cameos were perfection
DARLA omg grandma is a hoot and a half
This was so good and so so funny I could not get enough.
Get those granny panties ready and buckle up! WE KNOW WHO DADDY IS and ah oh my god I am dying, in the best way of course.
I loved this so much, like so much, picked it up and devoured the whole story before putting it back down. There is some serious comedy gold in here, it had me cackling, lie full blown CACKLING!
I will not be telling you who Daddy is, but make no mistake, Merrick will not be pleased… hahahaha
Kinsley’s voice has grown so much with each new release and I am loving it, the writing style of Fck Me Daddy was wonderful.
If you’re after a hilarious, unconventional, paranormal, spicy good time, we’ll look no further. And granny panties are NOT optional.
I didn't think it was possible to love a book more than Ghost D!ck, but this had me cackling and fanning myself every chapter! If you haven't read Ghost D!ck yet, you need to before starting this. You get more of Fallon and Merrick, and Fallon had me rolling a few times she's so spunky and hilarious. Harper and "Daddy" are literally perfect together. Harper is such a brat and he knows exactly how to tame her everytime. And the way they meet? Couldn't be more perfect honestly.
And to Kins because I know you're reading this... can we get a book for Harper's dad pretty please?? I would LOVE his perspective on well, everything 🤭
This book was so ridiculous and I loved every minute of it 😂 just like GD. Such a great, quick, and fun read! I love Harper and I loved Gabriel. Loved having my baby Merrick back. I think this book being unrealistic is the best part! It was a short read, but yet you still got a bit of everything. Some trauma, some heart warming moments, banter and spice 💦 I need more 🤭 if you’re looking for a fun quick read that you don’t have to over analyze and just let the book take you on a fun ride, then this is it!
Arc Read.. I loved jumping back into Port Canyon and learning more about other characters and the towns history. I love how everyone in the book feels like they are talking to you really brings this book alive and it submerges you into their world and brings it alive!
When I read who ‘Daddy’ is, I was hooked.. I loved to read about Harper and Gabriel’s love story but also their personal growth stories too. Reading about Harpers complex feelings and relationship with her father and overcoming it was such great character growth!
Also the banter between the reader and daddy is unmatched, it made me laugh out loud! Not to mention the pop ups from Merrick who I loved in Ghost Dick!
I cant wait to see what’s next from Port Canyon.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This book was perfection! Harper and Daddy (because I’m not spoiling who it is) are so good together. The banter was freaking hilarious. I loved reading Harper’s story and she’s probably my favorite (don’t tell Merrick!). Kinsley knocked it out of the park on this one!
Fourth-wall chaos ? Divine. Characters who know they’re unhinged and lean into it? Perfection. That blend of self-awareness and emotional sincerity is where this story really shines.
What hit hardest for me was Harper’s journey. Beneath the sharp wit, horny one-liners, and chaotic energy is a woman who’s been barely holding herself together. Watching her spiral, then be caught at her lowest, sets off a healing arc that feels raw, earned, and deeply human. The bubbly mask slips, and what’s underneath is messy, angry, lonely—and beautifully written.
Harper is outrageously funny and aggressively horny in the best way, but she’s also layered and vulnerable. And the man who steps in when she needs him most ? Yeah. Him. Daddy. Protective, tender, quietly wrecked, and very much not immune to Harper’s charms. Their chemistry crackles, but what really sold me was the softness threaded through it—the care, the patience, the longing for something real.
The friendships were such a highlight too. Seeing how Harper and Fallon’s bond has evolved added real emotional weight, and returning characters felt purposeful rather than fan service. The cameos landed perfectly, the banter stayed sharp, and baby Hails ? Absolute scene-stealer. Merrick’s moments had me howling, especially when everything finally clicked for him. And Darla—unhinged grandma supremacy. Every appearance was gold.
Beyond the humor and spice (which absolutely deliver), this book surprised me with how grounded it felt emotionally. The setting isn’t just a backdrop—it breathes. The town carries history, grief, and secrets that seep into every character. Themes of loss, mental health, family legacy, and unresolved trauma are woven into the story with care. Nothing feels thrown in for shock value; it all serves the narrative.
Kinsley walks a tricky line here and nails it. The outrageous moments never cheapen the darker ones. Instead, the humor makes the heavy stuff more approachable, more real. And while this book definitely isn’t light reading content-wise, readers who enjoy paranormal romance with emotional depth, sharp humor, and unapologetic boldness will find a lot to love.
If you’re already familiar with the first book Ghost Dick, this sequel expands the world in a way that feels intentional and deeply satisfying. If you’re new, start from the beginning—this story hits harder when you understand the layers beneath it.
In short: this book knows exactly what it is. It’s chaotic, horny, heartfelt, dark, funny, and emotionally rich—and it commits fully.
And honestly ? I need more. More of this town. More of these characters. More Port Canyon, immediately.
Aye aye Captain Hook this book hits differently 💋👻
Define true love? Does it mean that someone is always there for you, someone that cares for you or maybe someone that protects you? Possibly, but in Port Canyon it’s someone that loves you even though you wear the most hideous full coverage to granny panties, legitimate, granny panties from your grandmother yes exactly… those panties, let’s continue…Or maybe it’s someone that can use their tongue to spell words like LOVE either way it’s all quite beautiful isn’t it? ❤️ I know what you’re thinking. I’m thinking it too, what a lucky bitch Harper is…jealousy seeps into my soul with every word written in this book, who doesn’t want to be railed by a ghost…. Let’s be real.
I probably laughed way more than I should have with this book or maybe that was the important part of it, to laugh as much as I laughed. I may have tinkled in my granny panties a few times from the humor. Don’t judge me … I found myself pondering why I was jealous of a town full of twisted, seductive ghosts and all their little human friends. The town I live in could never, it makes my life look boring and incomplete. I really should’ve been a mortician. I went the opposite way into healthcare damn it.
Harper is my girl, everything out of her mouth is something I probably would say. She’s like a truth teller and cringeworthy all at the same time and it’s perfect. It’s perfection. High five to the self pleasure queen, here is your crown Harper 👑wear it with pride!
Now without giving any spoilers…her man, yes Captain Hook, of course is drool worthy, body fluids worthy, absolutely 100%. I will die on that hill. He does really dirty things and they’re all delicious and romantic of course because that’s what this book is, it’s a romance book… made me feel romantic… I cuddled that rose like a champ after I read it. Don’t roll your eyes you did too…. 🌹
Btw, I would like to thank Kinsley Kincaid personally for teaching me what being Eiffel towered means. I learn something new every day. This book is highly educational, I beg all of you to read it…learn something new…make your lady parts happy.
If you have not read Ghost Dick, I would highly advise that you read that first. Have a little foreplay with that one before you slide on into this next one. I feel like a broken record, but make sure to check your trigger warnings and then disregard them and enjoy the ride.
And finally, in the famous words of little Hails… No swearing in front of Corpses!
I went into Fuck Me Daddy expecting spice, to piss my self laugh laughing and maybe a little chaos. What I got was laugh-out-loud ridiculousness, heart, and characters I am now emotionally attached to.
Harper? An icon. A menace (affectionate). A queen of inner monologue chaos.
And her mysterious man? Sir. (You need to find out who) The romance? The banter? Elite. As always Kinsley! I’m saying nothing….
“ I promise to love all 37 versions of her” (MMC)
Excuse me??? Yes my man. Immediately.
And Harper’s unhinged brilliance:
“Perhaps any saviour turned serial killer is my fate. But for the record, I do not know if that is his occupation, yet. Let us not lose hope.”
And can we TALK about seeing so much Fallon and Merrick from Ghost Dick? I didn’t realize how much I missed them until they were right there on the page causing emotional (and comedic) damage again. It felt like a chaotic little reunion and I loved every second of it. And Hails… future Queen! Fucking here for her! I’m a fan!
“Because swearing in front of corpses will s illegal! And daddy swears all the fucking time in the graveyard” I laughed too much at this!
One of my absolute favorite things is the way Kinsey Kincaid pulls the audience into the story. It doesn’t feel like you’re just reading—it feels like the characters are justleaning across the table, and saying, “Okay but hear me out…” It’s immersive in the most unhinged and delightful way. I genuinely felt personally attacked several times. In the best way. Like harpers monologue on page 127 just perfection and the way she ended each books *chefs kiss*
And the panties bit?? The pirate reference 😂BRILLIANT. Comedic timing. Commitment to the bit. I was not prepared and yet somehow it was exactly what I needed.
Kinsley always sneaks in those soft, intimate little details that cut you right in the heart. The watch?? Come on, man. RUDE. My heart.
This book is funny, clever, and weirdly wholesome under all the chaos. If you loved our boy merrick with his beautiful, no bull, kind of psycho ways you will love this! this one’s a little different with presence but holy hell this was just beautiful!

ARC REVIEW - copy provided by Kinsley Kincaid. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
F*ck Me, Daddy is the sequel to Ghost D*ck and expands the world in a way that feels intentional, darker and far more emotionally layered than I expected.
Set in a paranormal gothic town steeped in legacy, grief, and long buried trauma, this story leans hard into atmosphere. There’s humour, spice and chaos on the surface, but underneath it all is a narrative that explores loss, mental health, family dynamics and the lasting impact of death in a way that feels surprisingly grounded for such an unorthodox premise.
Kinsley Kincaid excels at balancing tones here. The sarcastic banter and outrageous moments never undercut the heavier themes, instead, it makes them more digestible. The humour feels earned, not flippant and the darker elements are handled with care rather than shock value alone.
The paranormal elements are expanded effectively, giving the town itself a sense of personality and history. The family legacy aspect adds depth and the story benefits from spending time unpacking how the past continues to shape the present. While the spice is absolutely present, it never overshadows the plot or character development, it complements it.
This book won’t be for everyone. It includes heavy themes and content that require attention to trigger warnings and it doesn’t shy away from uncomfortable territory. That said, readers who enjoy dark paranormal romance with strong characters, emotional weight and a blend of humour and trauma will likely find this incredibly compelling.
If you enjoyed Ghost D*ck, this sequel is a natural and satisfying continuation. If you’re new to the series, I’d recommend starting at the beginning to fully appreciate the layered world building and character dynamics.
An unapologetically bold, emotionally resonant read that knows exactly what it is and commits to it fully.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👻I see dead people 👻Dark RomCom 👻Granny panties and flavour savers 👻 FMC is a serial masturbater 👻 spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Hang on everyone and get ready to pull your granny panties up because we diving right back into the strange, twisted and incredibly kinky world that is the Port Canyon series! If you thought the first book, Ghost D!ck, made you question if you needed therapy well this one might just have you checking yourself Into the asylum! In the best way possible.
Book two, F*ck me Daddy, picks up right where first Ghost D!ck left off…. And heheh ( jumping up and down) I know who Harper’s been f*cking!!! OMG it’s soo good, you go girl! 😜
All the characters we have come to know and love are back and bringing with them is all their sass, witty banter and sarcasm, hilarious one liners and kinks. We are also introduced to a new character.. DADDY!! He definitely was a surprise and definitely deserves his title, he is giving such big daddy energy 🥵.
I think it is important to say that what happens in the basement should really have stayed in the basement IYKYK and your eyeballs might not recover but you still might laugh and that’s ok, no judgement here…. Maybe a little 🤭 I’ll save you the seat next to me!
Favourite lines “Aye, Aye Captain Hook!” “But also, does no one in this family care about carpal tunnel?” “I’m your mommy now”
I can’t wait to see what happens next in Port Canyon and wish that I could live there.
F*CK ME DADDY is releasing on February 13, 2026.
I can’t thank the author Kinsley Kincaid enough for giving me the opportunity to ARC read this incredible wonderful masterpiece! I received this ARC and I am leaving my honest review.
Worth the wait! I can't get enough of Port Canyon Chronicle! First check your trigger warnings, because Kinsley is the Queen of taboo.
I strongly suggest you read Ghost D!€k first. Port Canyon is known for their dead. If your buried there, your spirit returns and continues to live in the cemetery that is ran by Fallon. Every family in the town has a duty that must be fulfilled or the curse will get them!
Harper is the best friend of Fallon and the daughter of Port Canyon's mortician. She is next in line to take over her family's business. Her mother passed when she was a teen from a fall. Her father had a hard time with the death and instead of burying her, he kept her preserved in their home and had some interesting visits with her at night. Like I've said before, Taboo at its' finest! Loved it!
Harper feels lonely and the night she decides to end her loneliness, she discovers the ghost who has been obsessed with watching her since she was 17. He is older and when I read who it was, I knew this was going to be everything I waited for and much more! Harper and Gabriel's story has me craving for more Port Canyon! More than ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
I laughed so much the whole entire read, those Harper moments is what makes Harper the most genuine character and the one perfect for Gabriel. I loved that all the characters, especially, Merrick, was still part of the story. It was like karma just exploded all over Merrick in this one😂
I fell in love with Gabriel! He had an unfortunate end to his life, but it started the chain reaction to everyone's HEA. Harper is guarded and overthinks, but Gabriel brings her back to reality and makes her feel seen and heard. He rewards his good girl when she makes him proud 🌶🌶🌶🌶 and that Eiffel-Towered at the end 🤭 Just go get both books!
WE KNOW WHO DADDY IS and I am….how do I put this emotionally deceased 💀😂
I picked this up for a chapter and next thing I knew the book was finished, my face hurt from laughing, and my brain was screaming what did I just experience (complimentary). The fourth-wall chaos? Divine. The self-aware unhinged energy? Immaculate.
Harper’s inner monologue alone deserves a standing ovation. From “But please note: I am not a damsel in distress. Harper fucking Hayes doesn’t need saving.” to mentally adding pervert to someone’s job title because they were “watching me tickle the magical chest” I was fully cackling. Full. Blown. CACKLING.
And Daddy. Listen. I will not be revealing who Daddy is, but when a man says, “I have waited my entire death for you, Harper Hayes. And if you desire a predator, then I shall be your predator. Happily.” …yeah. Granny panties were never an option. Especially when he follows it up with “Come out and play with me, Harper Hayes. If I catch you, I keep you.” Sir??? Calm down??? Or don’t???
Beyond the comedy and spice, there’s real heart here. Harper is chaotic, horny, hilarious and quietly breaking. Watching the mask slip and seeing her caught at her lowest adds an emotional punch that hits way harder than expected, without ever losing that razor-sharp humor.
The side characters shine, the banter slaps, Merrick is… not pleased (hahaha), and Darla remains unhinged grandma royalty.
If you want a hilarious, unconventional, paranormal, spicy good time with actual emotional depth look no further. Laugh, gasp, clutch your pearls.
F*ck Me Daddy is a thrilling addition to the ever-chaotic world of Port Canyon, perfectly blending paranormal antics with steamy romance. Harper Hayes, our spirited narrator, guides us through her peculiar journey in a town steeped in bizarre, sexy ghostly traditions and legacies that kept me both entertained and utterly captivated.
The novella delves into Harper's existential musings as she struggles with her predestined role as the town's mortician, a family legacy that looms large over her. Kinsley expertly weaves in dark humor while painting a vivid picture of life amidst the quirky townsfolk and their paranormal lovers. It's a delightful dance of chaos, where the boundaries of the living and the dead blur into a tantalising exploration of desire and identity.
What truly sets this story apart is its ability to balance the absurd with meaningful introspection. Harper's revelations about her own purpose and longing for love add depth to the outrageous happenings around her. The narrative humors and hooks with outrageous situations and characters that are as relatable as they are unhinged.
Kinsley's knack for character development ensures that you become deeply invested in their stories. You’ll find yourself laughing, gasping, and perhaps even questioning your own realities as you navigate through the enchanting mayhem of Port Canyon.
Overall, "Fck Me Daddy" is a wild ride filled with sexy ghosts, dark humor, and memorable characters that will leave you eagerly anticipating the next adventure in this delightfully strange town. It is a must-read for anyone who revels in the eccentricities of life and love that defy conventional expectations.
Welcome back to the Port Canyon Chronicles! FMD is a must-read book. If you haven’t already, I recommend starting with the first book, Ghost Dick, to better understand the characters, as you’ll see a crossover between the two.
I’d like to thank Kinsley and her PA for giving me the opportunity to read this story. I received it as an arc, but unfortunately, a tragic personal loss has caused me to be a-little behind on my review. So, let’s dive in and get started!
In the first book, Harper was a minor character, but in this one, she takes centre stage. This is Harper’s story. I absolutely love her personality and can we talk about our MMC “ The Predator” I won’t spoil who her spicy good time with is, that’s why you will need to read it to find out. All you need to know about him is he is super sweet and very caring when it comes to Harper but also doesn’t know the meaning of personal space either. There’s secrets that were taken to the grave (literally) that we find out and you will want to pay attention to our not so main characters through out the story. Kinsley definitely has a way of making us as readers feel super connected to the characters in her books and this one is no different. It was Harper’s love for Roses & Black Lilies in her garden me feeling connected to her. Although I am more like Fallon when it comes to the girls in these books.
Thee entire storyline was absolutely brilliant and I really loved it. Would I recommend this book? Yesss a thousand times over. However, that being said make sure you check your triggers as there are somethings that are mentioned that not everyone could handle.
This book! 5 stars is not enough. And like GD, I know this book is going to be one of my comfort reads when I need a laugh or to get out of a reading slump.
I loved Harper in GD so I was super excited to learn more about her. She’s such a funny character and her comments and internal monologue always make me smile.
And Daddy! 🔥🫠 (you need to read the book to figure out who he is lol, I’m not going to spoil the surprise) He was so sweet and caring, and I loved him and Harper together. And of course the spice between them was spicing!
Loved seeing more Merrick and Fallon! They’re perfect for each other. And little Hails was so cute. Merrick’s reaction at the end when he learned who Harper was banging was so funny
“This is my legend, my legacy, and my responsibility.” “No one asked you to save me. Can you kindly remove your strong manly hands from my hips?” “His voice soothes the soul and moistens my panties.” “You have the weirdest friends, my stupid fucking girl.” “Daddy! No swearing in front of the corpses.” “I bet the entire graveyard heard you, dear. You were yelling rather loudly.” “You need to get better control over your bodily fluids.” “These are my grandmother’s actual panties.” “Now, close those books and let’s pick you out something to wear. Would you like that, pretty girl?” “Now, bend over, my beauty. It’s time to play.”
Thank you Kins for letting me both beta & ARC read this book! 🫶🏼 ARC/beta reading didn’t affect my opinion of the book and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.
If you survived Ghost D¡ck, congratulations—you’re emotionally qualified for this sequel. And yes, it expands the world in a way that feels deliberate, satisfying, and like the author absolutely knew what she was doing to us. New here? Start from book one. Context makes the chaos hurt better.
Harper is aggressively funny, aggressively horny, and somehow still deeply vulnerable. A talent, honestly. And the man who steps in when she’s at her lowest?
Oh. Him. Daddy. (No names. No spoilers. Mind your business.) Protective, gentle, quietly broken, and absolutely fighting for his life against Harper’s charm offensive. Their chemistry sparks, sure—but it’s the softness that wrecked me. The patience. The care. The mutual “oh no, I caught feelings.”
Harper + Daddy just work. The banter? Criminally funny. I was wheezing.
Another wild ride—I devoured this like it owed me money because WHY was it this good?? Fourth-wall breaks again? Chef’s kiss. Michelin star. Standing ovation.
Kinsley’s writing takes me out every single time. I haven’t laughed this hard reading a book in ages. My abs hurt. My soul healed. 10/10 chaos, no notes.

We’ve officially re-entered a gothic fever dream where the brakes have been cut and the only way out is through. This book is a high-speed crash of unhinged, feral comedy and a vulnerability so deep it’ll leave your soul bruised. It’s breathless, it’s bloody, and it’s absolute brilliance. 🥀 Harper is a lightning bolt of unfiltered chaos aggressively funny, painfully relatable, and a total menace in the best way. And then there’s Him. Daddy isn't just a name; it’s a lifestyle. He is the quiet, protective, and gently broken force fighting for his life against Harper’s charm offensive. Their chemistry? Criminal. Their softness? Wrecked me. 🖤
This isn’t your average romance. It’s a descent into a beautiful, gothic nightmare. Sarcastic banter that makes you wheeze, immediately followed by the heavy shadows of loss and mental health struggles. Fourth-wall breaks that make you feel like the author is sitting right next to you, enjoying the carnage. Kinsley Kincaid didn’t just write a sequel; she created an addiction. Rating: 5/5 Stars | 5/5 Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Vibe: Emotional damage, but make it spicy.

This book was supposed to be a fun little read and instead it grabbed me by the face and said we are having a GREAT TIME NOW. Instant comfort read energy. I laughed out loud. I giggled. I stared at the page like did they really just say that. Yes. Yes they did.
Harper is a menace in the best way. Her inner monologue had me snorting because she is unfiltered, dramatic, and painfully relatable. Every comment landed. Every thought made it funnier. She is the kind of FMC who makes the story feel alive instead of just happening around her.
And listen. The banter??? Elite. Unhinged. Rapid fire. The kind that feels effortless and sharp and makes the chemistry impossible to ignore. The back and forth was so good it almost felt like flirting with the reader too. I live for dialogue like this and it delivered over and over.
The romance was sweet but feral. Soft moments mixed with spice that absolutely did not hold back. The tension built naturally and when it hit, it HIT. Zero complaints. No notes. I was fully invested and wildly entertained.
Seeing familiar characters pop up again made everything even better and added to the chaos. The reactions. The timing. The side commentary. Chef’s kiss. Everything just worked.
This book was funny, spicy, ridiculous, charming, and chaotic in all the ways I want. Five stars. Five spice. I would reread this just for the banter alone and honestly probably will.
F*ck Me Daddy is a darkly funny, unhinged little fever dream that blends supernatural weirdness, inherited duty, and identity crisis into something that feels equal parts gothic folklore and “this is absolutely going to end badly… and I’m strapped in.”
Harper Hayes is self-aware, curious, and clearly spiraling in the most entertaining way. Born into a legacy she never chose, destined to become Port Canyon’s mortician and spiritual caretaker, Harper’s internal conflict drives the story. The question of who are you when your entire life has already been decided for you sits at the heart of the book, even when things get absurdly wild.
The setting of Port Canyon oozes atmosphere. Small-town secrets, ritual, spirits that refuse to stay quiet, and a sense that everyone knows more than they’re saying. The full moon ceremony looming over the story adds delicious tension, and the humor keeps the darkness from becoming too heavy though make no mistake, this book enjoys dancing right on the edge of chaos.
This isn’t a traditional paranormal romance or a straight-up horror: it’s a genre-blending, slightly feral exploration of legacy, curiosity, and what happens when you wander off the path everyone laid out for you. If you like dark humor, supernatural oddities, and heroines who make questionable choices while fully aware they’re questionable, F*ck Me Daddy is absolutely worth the ride.
Welcome to Port Canyon…you probably won’t leave unchanged.
Reading this book, I had to pause because the tone was a lot less dark than Ghost Dick. I was not sure how to feel about it because, as nutty as GD was, I really did like it. I decided that apart from the backstory, I needed to put Book 1 aside and give FMD a chance.
After adjusting to this, I really did enjoy the book. The hero, , was perfect for Harper, who was carrying far too much weight on her shoulders. She lost her mother at sixteen after she fell down the stairs, found her body, and then had to accept that not only did her father refuse to bury her mother, but he did not just stop at displaying her corpse. His actions in his grief became very selfish and he was not there for Harper or considering her feelings. All of this culminated in Harper taking drastic action, and the hero, who had been watching over her for years and never intended to reveal himself to anyone, including her, had to save her.
I loved their relationship. It might have taken Harper some time to believe in it given her background, but it would not have had the same impact if she had not been wary. It is hard to trust in something good when your life has been a mess for so long.
I enjoyed this book and the emotional impact it had on me. It might not have been GD, but it was still just as good in a different way.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 Stars
